Jamie, before you said anything , I too was thinking of dear Millie 🐈❤️ She was so much a part of your lives and ours too as we sailed the oceans with you all. I wish you the very best and thank you for all the good times aboard ESPER! It was such a joy to watch each new video you and Liz made and going on the many adventures you undertook. I went with you to places I will never be able to go too, and enjoyed it all. I look forward to seeing your next chapter and hopefully joining you again. Thank you, and will never forget MILLIE🐈❤️🙏
Thank you for such a lovely comment, we're so pleased we brought you some entertainment. Yes, it was sad to say goodbye to Millie 'properly', she will forever be part of our story 😻
Thank you for sharing so much of your time aboard Esper with us. Some years back you were a big part of my research into starting the build of our own boat, a Wharram tiki 38. All the best with your move and the next chapter.
Can't say I ever made as major a move are you two are making. Every move I've made has left me with regrets and sadness, followed by the happiness of meeting new friends and having new experiences, ones I can't imagine life without. You have the blessing of a video record of your travels. A blessing you shared with us. Thank you. Looking forward to your future adventures.
Congratulations. Someone is getting an amazing boat and a great deal. I look forward to following along on the next adventure(s). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
I'm glad you kept Millie's ashes release private. As should be, that's for the three of you. 😢 Seeing Esper one last time. ❤ Fair winds and following seas to Esper's new owners.💨 ⛵️ Merry Christmas, Liz and Jamie. 🎅
Thanks for sharing your adventures all these years. Truly a sad day to see your boat home get sold but, quite right-new adventures coming. Fair winds. We’ll keep watching!
Sad and exciting. Change is good and you've made and filmed, photographed some amazing and beautiful things. I'm excited about your next video to see what diabolical plans you instore for yourselves and hopefully us! Merry Christmas!
How appropriate that you end your time with Esper and look ahead to new adventures on episode 388, which means "birth" (3) and "double happiness or prosperity" (88) in Chinese culture. This is a great omen for you both and I wish you all the best in your next endeavours! Cheers, from Bill and SY Miss Foxy, in Singapore.
Wow, that's a great coincidence, Bill. Thanks for enlightening us! Wishing you all well for the Christmas holidays and look forward to continue our online relationship in the new year 😃👍
Your last ten years on Esper made unforgettable memories for many. Thank you! My guess/want is a boat in the Mediterranean. I would love to see you back in Turkey and the Greek Islands.
Congratulations again on the sale and all our best wishes for your new adventure. Onwards and upwards! We're so glad we got to spend some time with you both in Indonesia and Malaysia. Cheers - Rob & Karen
Thank you for the years of your adventure, sad to say goodbye to your lovely boat. Thank you for all the exciting hours you have shared with us, take care of each other. Happy Xmas and good luck for the future. Xx
So not only did you allow Millie to have further travels with you guys, you’ve now given her the opportunity to keep travelling… unless she decides to hang around in the area she loved. I’ve only been watching a few months, and my eyes are leaking. Best wishes for the new adventures ahead 🍾🥂❤
I’ve followed from the start and have joined your lifestyle, I’m 10 years into my journey. I want to say thank you for your tenacity, well done. I’m in Phuket with 40,000 nm done and we’re off to South Africa. Much love.
Wow, that's great to hear, Scott. Good luck on your next passage. That trip west across the Indian Ocean is supposed to be great. Please say hi to Phuket for us. Peace and fair winds to you.
Wow guys, it has certainly been an adventure. I'm glad you gave Millie a little ceremony and are now up for more adventures. Merry Christmas and be well, I'll keep watching if you keep posting. Best, Dovid
As I have followed the two of you from the beginning it is also sad for me to see this chapter come to a conclusion. But I promise to watch the two of you try to make living on a longboat fun. God I hope I'm wrong. From the bottom of my heart I wish the both of you a Happy Christmas as you would say and whatever you do on boxing day. Hope to see you in the new year thank you for all the memories.
Thank you, Susan. We really appreciate your support and love hearing from you, especially on the blog. Wishing you a very merry Christmas and look forward to catching up in 2025.
Thank you so much for taking us along on your travels. I have been with you for many years and remember Milly. I would like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will look forward to your new adventures Best Wishes to you both. Blessing from Canada Ray
Watching your adventure on Esper encouraged us to buy our own sailing boat and whilst we just dipped our toes in the ocean compared to you it was an interesting couple of years. And so we have now both sold our floating homes and started the next episode of our lives. Ours is firmly on land where I’m rediscovering my love of golf, fast internet and hot showers. Good luck with your new adventure, whatever you chose it to be, just enjoy it together and it’ll be great. Cheers Mac and Moon ❤
Hey Mac. I'm glad to hear you've settled back on land. It does bring some luxuries that you can't have at sea, golf certainly being one of them! We like being able to go for a walk without the hassle of the dinghy 😄 Wishing you and Moon all the best for 2025.
Im so pleased there is another boat in the equation, I had a horrible feeling you were going to move back to Jamie's flat in London and anounce some horrible health complication and then dissappear into one of those whatever happend to? UA-cam channels. Heres looking forward to another 20 happy and healthy years, whichever waters you choose.
Goodbye, Millie and Esper. Looooong time viewer and of course birthday twin with Liz, best wishes to you. At least this will bring you a lot closer to the east coast of the US! Come on o er to crazy Florida!
Out one door and into another. I understand. Life is about change. I have moved a good bit in my life...living in about 14 places ranging from Alaska to Florida, and Hawaii. But...another boat...Hmmmm...Looking forward to this new adventure...and that's what this is!

I had not really grasped that Esper vids were definately finished until this episide. So now im really intriged to see what kind of cruising your next boat will bring.
Wow, 20 years, that must have been emotional and not to take anything away from Millie and Esper, could there be another cat with the 'new' boat in the future? I'm not sure if I can see how long I've been subscribed to a channel but I feel like I've been following you for at least 10 or so years.
Having watched every UA-cam episode definitely a tear jerker this one the end of your Esper adventure (although I do hope you retain the name for your next vessel). Super excited to see what you will be on next and what you plan to do.
Wow, so it’s finally happened… Definitely the end of an era. I’m glad you’re scattering Millie’s ashes in the seas she called home, it’s nice to imagine her spirit lazing in the sun, and watching the fish.. ❤️
Wow even I got quite emotional with that final time with Esper, I learnt a lot about sail boats from watching the refit and repair video's and given us hopes and dreams of doing the same one day, but as you know Boo has had two heart failures requiring having a ICD fitted then having a stroke has put the dream on hold but doesn't stop us watching sailing video's and clinging to that dream, we look forward to the new chapter in your lives, maybe we will meet and have a coffee at Cafe Amigo on a Sunday when we go on our Landy meet up there.
Jamie shot that on his own, I was too emotional to go back on board to say goodbye. 🥺 I hope you stick with us, the next adventure might be right up your street. Onwards! Liz x
How great, and I should think it is a bit emotional, I look forward to your next adventure as your style is honest and relaxed with no bs or gloss. I take it you do know how crap the weather is in the UK at the moment 😊
I stumbled onto your website before your major refit.. I also recall seeing a video of Millie swimming to the rear of your boat to climb up the rope knot to get back onto said boat. This was also the first time I ever saw a cat that used the head.
