The SECRET Gili Islands in Lombok, Indonesia [Gili Nanngu and Kedis]

- While everyone who has visited Bali has probably heard of or visited the Gili Islands (Gili Air, Meno or Trawangan), most people have probably never heard of the Secret Gili Islands like Nanngu and Kedis off the other coast of Lombok.
We saw these islands when flying from Bali to Lombok and KNEW we had to go visit them so we arranged a boat trip to visit 3 of these paradise islands in Indonesia! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE for more Indonesia travel vlogs and videos from my life in Bali in 2021.

Fun fact: Gili means "small island" In local language. The word Nusa or Pulo also means island. So it's funny when foreigner call Gili island, coz it means island-island...

That first island you went to reminded me of Gili Trewangan when I went there 30 years ago. Not a soul on the beach.
I just wondered how a man suddenly appeared selling the shell-made bracelet on a tiny island. Hmmm...if no one's coming to the island, I wonder who'd buy his bracelets. I assumed he must've been so happy that you two bought some from him.
The banjar helping people not mention all the donations from tourists especially from Aussies ! Also there are lot of great food banks you just need to research and you are welcome to donate. Majority of Balinese just don’t want to go back to hard work.Use to be turists $$ now is tourists donation.

Yes I did the secret Gilis as well, personally better than the main Gilis that tourist go to (Gili T, Gili Meno and Gili Air). For the secret Gilis I went to Nanggu, Tangkong, Sudak and Kedis. I love Lombok a lot more than Bali too

Love this video.. Amazing experience . The music is perfect as well. Taking notes for my next trip post Covid ! Thanks so much for sharing all the info / tips and helping out the families w/ food packages ( a dif . video )* . I also went to Mount Batur with two others in a small jeep that we rented.. about 30 years ago. Just rugged tracks back then.. no tours . We made it , though it took awhile to find our way . Happy travels !

Hi Janet.. if you Still in Lombok. And if you have chance . Please visit the beautiful island in east Lombok ITS called. Gili Kondo,Gili Bidara,Gili lampu. ITS best place for snorkeling. You can check it out on Google.

we set sail from the main port, it's called Lembar Port I think. Your boat company will tell you meeting point if you book in advance.

Janet if you have other time in Indonesia, you can consider to go to Celebes especially tana toraja. It has very unique culture. Or if you want to avoid ramadhan just go to non Muslim areas like Flores, Timor etc. You just need to go further east.
I've actually been to Toraja before but would love to go back again sometime!!

If you are looking for a quieter destination, go for Lombok. If you need a bit more action, Bali is for you.
