Saturday Night Fever is not really a musical. It is the gritty story of an inner city young man who has limited options but can dance. The soundtrack is classic though!
Andy was the "baby" of the family, 12 years younger than Barry and 9 than the twins. He was a little child when his brothers career started and became massive. So nhe started a solo career with the help of his brothers, they wrote his hits (with him) and They (mainly Barry) made also the backup vocals in his songs. After years of troubles (drug consume) and drug withdrawal he should become a member of the Bee Gees but sadly died a short time before this could happen!
Glad to see the younger generations are also enjoying my generation's music. My siblings and I were tirelessly dancing and listening to these music and all the other disco beats.🤗
I used to do a '70s dance party Show at my college radio station. I always kicked off the show with this song or staying alive. It always gets you in the mood to get your groove on and dance. The Bee gees are icons, legendary. And Andy is phenomenal as well. They will never be another like the Bee gees. I am so glad you love and enjoy the music that I grew up listening to. Keep doing what you're doing Ola! I'm loving it! And I totally love your fangirling over Robin. It's so adorable.
Robin, was often the lead singer early in the Bee Gees career. He sings lead on New York Mining Disaster, Massachusetts, I've Gotta a Message to You, I started a joke, How Can You mend a broken heart, Holiday, Juliet ,Mr Natural ( shares lead with Barry ) &For whom the Bell Tolls
@@DougRayPhillips - Robin also did sing lead in "Holiday", "I can't see nobody", "I am the world", "When he's gone", "She keeps on coming", Fallen angel", "Bodyguard", "Cryin' every day", "Heart like mine", "The singer sang his song", "Ellan Vannin".
Thrilled by your reactions. I'm reliving the joy I felt all those years ago growing up with the lads. Fanny be tender with my love, the official video, is a beautiful and awesome showing of Robin and Barry going toe to toe with their amazing voices. Keep up the love and good humour.
This was a huge hit single for The Bee Gees taken from their 1976 album "Children of The World" and then the song was also used in the film "Saturday Night Fever" starring John Travolta and included on the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack album in 1977/78! And yes that is The Bee Gees younger brother Andy Gibb seen here preforming with them in this clip!
Yes That was Andy, Brothers Gibb's baby brother. As Barry calls him as "his youngest twin". That was also young John Travolta as Tony in 1977's Saturday Night Fever with Bee Gees doing the soundtrack.
You have to listen to the Bee gees sing For whom the bells toll... Robin sings a bunch Solo, he's so Great n this song. It's performed 1993 outside in New York!! You'll Love it!!!!
listen to a person who has been a fan of them for FIFTY YEARS.... that he has seen them live, that he has talked to them and that he has everything that they have done professionally speaking, their entire discography and that he adores them..... Listen to what for me is his best song, a little-known song that suffered censorship and was not distributed on radio stations. I'm talking about the anthem, about the wonderful and incredible "living eyes"
Their world tour in 1979 was amazing...Barry always brought along with his wife and children..also the twins did the same often🎉❤ they were so humble 🎉❤
It's impossible not to fangirl! For Robin on lead check out I Started A Joke and, my personal favourite, Holiday. Also, I Gotta Get a Message to You and How Can You Mend a Broken Heart. So many great songs to pick from!
So many great songs to choose from with Robin singing lead, or at least sharing lead with Barry. Here are a few: Massachusetts (One For All Tour Live in Australia 1989); I Can't See Nobody (Live in Melbourne 1974); Nights on Broadway [shared with Barry] (Live on the Midnight Special); Heart Like Mine; just to name a few. His voice is so unique, so haunting.
Ola is so beautiful and curious about many good things. Definitely watch Saturday Night Fever with BeeGers music. U will Love it!!! 1977 💎 🔸️ 🔶️ So glad I found you Ola. U make me smile a d warm my heart.
The 4th Bee Gees is Andy Gibb their younger brother . He became famous as well. Listen to his " I'd just want to give you everything , Word and Music, Everlasting Love, One more Look at the Night.

All the girls scream for Andy of course. This movie and music was a bane of my life in 1978 in New Zealand, when we all had to troop into the sports hall and learn how to dance, when all i wanted was to go out and play rugby.
If you want to Listen to the amazing Robin, I would start with either I Started a Joke or Massachusetts. Or if you want to hear him in the 80s when he's older and still gorgeous by the way, I would listen to Bodyguard. Anything Robin sings is incredible. If you think Barry sings fantastic, just you wait till you hear Robin. He sings like an angel. HIs haunting ethereal voice is none like you've ever heard. You think you love him now, just you wait.
Barry's voice also romantic..you can listen and watch his solo song in 'The Twelfth of Never'🎉❤so sweet and romantic to his pretty wife....❤❤every day I love to listen...
Thanks for the reaction. I know you (as you say)have fan girl Robert Plant,i thought to tell you that Robert,Bob Dylan and Willie Nelson are going on tour together this summer. Tickets go on sale Friday March 1st 24. Just so food for thought
Hello again! Yes, of course, I loved this reaction, also! A bit of advice, u must react to a few of Andy's songs! Such a shame to lose him at 30 years of age! One of my favorites is, I just want to be your everything! Fabulous song! His voice has been compared ALOT to his big brother, Barry! I'm pretty sure u will love it! Take Care!❤
He was a lot younger than his brothers. 12 years Barry's junior. Andy had a solo career...check out Shadow Dancing. Robin's best vocals have been I Started a Joke. FOR WHOM THE BELL TOLLS, Massachusetts. Solo he had a cool song in the 80s...Juliet.
Andy had a superstar solo career with his first 3 releases all going to #1. A wonderful live performer like his brothers, there are a ton of clips of him online. Check him out on The Midnight Specia & Don Kirschner's Rock Concert, hosting Solid Gold & entertaining US troops with Bob Hope. A very gifted artist❤
I love seeing you get so excited the dance that all the people were doing was called the electric slide. Olla I all ways look forward to your reaction.olla for got if it was one two L.❤😊.
Ola, you really should check out the documentary about the Bee Gees that was on HBO a few years ago. And yes, Andy was hot. Gorgeous. A real heartthrob. He died when he was 30. He had a drug addiction that apparently caused heart problems. Andy started as a solo artist and I think Barry said they talked about him joining the Bee Gees before he died. Check out Andy on "Shadow Dancing" and "I Just Want to be Your Everything". As for Robin, you MUST react to "I Started a Joke". That's such a beautiful song. I'd react to the live 1989 version. Good audio and video. He also sings lead on "Massachusetts". Also, live version 1989. I love your fangirling. We women understand it. I already have in mind two great bands I'm gonna request with unbelievably talented guys who happen to be really hot.
Hi there. If you like Robin as much as I enjoy watching you then you should watch him singing Massachusetts and the 1941 New York Mining disaster! You will love those.

It will be 36 years March 10th Andy passed away. Our Love (Don't Throw it all Away) was written by Barry & Blue Weaver and recorded separately by the Bee Gees & Andy Gibb.
Being the true that you are, you really need to react to a song he sings. His voice will drop you to your knees. I Started a Joke is my choice for to listen to next. Trust me.
Yes that was the fabulously handsome Andy Gibb!!! Andy shakes his booty in Shadow Dancing!! He shakes his booty a lot!! Maurice sings lead in Man in the Middle and Closer than close!

Many think all 3 brothers helped write Andy's songs, but the twins only helped write 3 & never sang backing on his songs.
Glad to see the younger generations are also enjoying my generation's music. My siblings and I were tirelessly dancing and listening to these music and all the other disco beats.🤗
This video is classic with all four brothers on stage!
Sweet Andy was my biggest crush! Had his posters all over my bedroom 🥰♥️Gone too soon😔💞
The Bee Gees are universally loved, even by us boys. LOL! 😁
Of course! Great art.
Nobody can switch there Voices like the Bee Gees and Barry's falsetto is not from this Planet ❤❤❤❤
Bee Gees had 7 #1 hits in the second 1/2 of the 70's and this one was the first of the 7.
This song was just before they started kicking ass!

They are a Super talented group. They had several soft folk song hits in the late 1960s...1967 and on before their Disco fame later on.
