Once again, forgive me for the deeper voice, going through the ringer a bit 🫠 hope you still enjoyed the video though!
Oh and apologies for the title, but as I've said before, welcome to UA-cam 😂
This is great news! Im Dutch and I really hope we dont compete next year, just as a FU to the EBU
I hope the Netherlands gets out of the world. As a FU from the rest of us.
Same
I hope Joost is going to performe for belgium
I hope we never ever return
@@Klas604 Haha yeah so the Belgians can be proud of a dutch guy. And he will betray his own country. I don't think that is a very good idea for his further carreer in the Netherlands.
Dutch person here and it’s not looking good for us - but it’s not something that we mourn. Eurovision really took a massive reputation hit this year and 2025 sadly won’t be the year for that reputation to be won back. Whoever would represent us would constantly live in the shadow of what preceded them in 2024. A breather for a year is better for everyone involved. Some distance from the hideous events that happened in Malmö will do us good.
We’ll be back but this is not the time.
At least you won in the last ten years
well said
It is looking excellent 👍 fuck ebu
@@annebokma4637 you're free to not watch it.
@@ColoringAHouse yeah, try not hearing/reading about it while living in the Netherlands 😎 besides I am paying for that absolute disaster, and I rather not
I'd hope you'd mention how Nikkie de Jager (from NikkieTutorials) was the first person to say F U to the ebu by deciding that she didn't want to give the points from the netherlands, despite it being a dream for her. I feel like not a whole lot of people know that she was the one who said to avrotross that if the ebu was boycotting them, the points were theirs to give
And ofc huge respect to Käärja who also decided to not give the points because of his great friendship with joost
And to Alessandra from Norway (but that was probably not because of Joost)
@@inot2008Alessandra and Joost are also friends too!
Let’s leave before Martin Osterdahl and his “Moroccan” Oil friends fuck it up even more next year.
Thats so true. Moroccan oil will gift another 300 points to israhell in 2025 too
The EBU just can't stop making enemies.
Honestly I don't blame them
I feel like while it will be Really sad for them to withdrew from the contest, it's also something that'll really
respect, Joost was being from what was seen harrased by the Israeli delegation and the EBU instead of helping him with his situation, they decided to take him out of the place he dreamed of as a kid bcuz of an incident that still hasn't been cleared 2 months after it happened, but even if they still participate with ANOUK it will also a huge controversy due to the comments she made, ofc If they return with another artist rather than ANOUK that'll be great but i don't see it happening. At the very least if they did withdrew we can atleast have some returning and new countries like Monaco,North Macedonia, Montenegro, Liechtenstein and Kosovo but for now the future is not looking great and we're most certainly not going to be United by music next year
I highly doubt Kosovo will ever be invited as there's the obvious issue with Serbia. There are also nations within the EBU that don't fully recognize Kosovo as an independent nation - including Spain, Greece, Cyprus, Ukraine, Moldova, Israel, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan (from those who had participated in 2024). And I doubt the EBU executives will want more trouble than they have right now. Any participation of Kosovo artists could be possible mainly through representing Albania which doesn't seem likeley as Albania has enough pool of artists to choose from and sending a Kosovar artist to represent Albania will again draw the ire of Serbia and its broadcaster RTS (Radio Television Serbia). If Serbia withdraws from the contest, it may pave the way for Kosovo debuting, but again it may not bode well with broadcasters from countries that don't recognise Kosovo as an independent state.
what comments did Anouk make? I'm curious after I saw multiple comments about it.
@@inot2008 She made Transphobic comments, which obviously are against what The EBU and the broadcaster wants to be represented
@@mrculp4534 oh that’s bad
I think in order for AVROTROS to be really considering participation next year is for Martin Österdahl to not be involved in any way, shape or form when it comes to the contest. And the EBU made their stance clear after publishing their plans for the future - Österdahl is not going anywhere. Yes, his powers will be greatly diminished with some being transferred to the new ESC Director position, but he will still remain part of the ESC regardless - albeit he won't be the go-to fall guy the have fingers pointed at anymore. But that's not enough I guess. And if they do confirm participation I highly doubt that Anouk will be on top of their shortlist given that controversial post and the broadcaster doesn't want more trouble on their hands. And I seriously doubt that they will ever turn to Joost Klein either despite defending him to the end (and still do - Joost has testified to a Dutch public prossecutor regarding the incident BTW)
Regarding returning countries - I'm from Bulgaria and the broadcaster (Bulgarian National Television) has stated that there are no concrete plans for a return to the ESC anytime soon (most likely 2022 will be the last time we've sent an entry to Eurovision). There's the now infamous 'BNT Eurovision' Twitter/X account which has been claimed that the broadcaster no longer has access to it and any posts from that account aren't official positions from BNT itself. While IDK what the situation with Romania is, but TVR (Romania's public braodcaster) was not happy with EBU's decision to nullify their jury vote in 2022 and substituting it with an aggregate score (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Montenegro, Poland and San Marino were also part of the so called 'jury collusion') and Mr. Ö announced their 'points' instead of a Romanian spokesperson (same with Azerbaijan and Georgia mind you) due to 'technical reasons'. TVR even went as far as to threaten permanent withdrawal and legal action against the EBU which didn't come to pass as Romania did compete in 2023, but then withdrew from 2024 anyway. I've seen reports that the national broadcasters of Montenegro (RTCG) and North Macedonia (MRT) are considering return. TV Monaco has just recently became EBU member and could kickstart Monaco's return in nearly 2 decades. Radio Liechtenstein is also pushing for the small principality to make debut and even Kosovo (despite it's broacaster - RTK, not having EBU membership) has sent an request to be invited in 2025 since there's huge Kosovar diaspora in Switzerland, but doubt they'll be invited due to the ongoing tensions with Serbia and maybe the EBU doesn't want more trouble than it has at this point.
as a Romanian, it is...complicated
TVR is a laughable stock at this point for reasons which are mostly outside the context of Eurovision, even general money laundering and a bunch of useless channels, as well as having audience numbers as low as like 6k-7k people watching at a time (compared to almost 2M at a time that Pro TV, a private broadcaster of all things, has garnered). might as well disband it or reform it. however, even the Eurovision journey seems to be close to an end, if it hasn't already ended
yes, there was the decision that was done in 2022 which also led to the elimination of juries from the semi-finals altogether, which I believe was bullshit, but whatever, they withdrew this year following a narrow vote from the broadcaster's council of administration against participation, it was 5-4, and the remaining 4 abstained, with the cited reason being that they can no longer afford to get to the performance level that the EBU asks for at this point. focus has been more on the elections and the Olympic Games, where Romania does not seem to fail all that much (even if it hasn't gotten a victory yet)
that being said, the hopes that Romania comes back to the contest after the Olympics (which end in August, while the deadline for participation announcements ends in September or October) are pretty much nil, and I won't be shocked to know that, and you can say it'll be pretty much permanent, because TVR also has a precedent of leaving when it gets very bad results. it happened with JESC after 2009 and Young Musicians one year later. 2023 came with Romania's worst result at the main contest and its first nul points award, and the staging may have been the broadcaster's middle finger towards the EBU that the televote simply wasn't having at all. once the New Year comes and you still don't see a country with a blue, yellow and red tricolor with nothing else on it participating, it won't be just about the broadcaster quitting completely, but it will also be about the people quitting completely. no one is ever gonna bother actually going to San Marino or Moldova to have a chance at qualifying when they'll lose to a citizen anyway. basically, it'll be game over for the country
Don't you know this? The disqualification of Joost Kleine was part of a bigger plan: Nexit2025. We leave Europe starting with Eurovision. We saw what success Britain had and want to improve on that. 🤪
I am dutch and a big eurovision fan. But I don't want us to participate anymore if the contest continues in its current form. Big changes to the rules need to be made, especially to protect the artists, because this year was a complete joke. But the results of the EBU's investigation completely ignored everything around Joost and Israel. I think this says enough. We won't be back next year, and maybe for a longer time.
They are having quite a ding-a-dong.
Joost has to go every year from now on with the same song, only some changes to the lyrics:
"Welkom terug Europa, ik zing dit tot ik dood ga, Eurodrama, Eurodrama"
12 punten voor originaliteit 👍🏼🤣
as a dutch former eurovision fan. I'm happy af were not returning. hope we never return. its completely over and unredeemable for me.
Welp, next year wont be getting any better
The fact that the Dutch will announce their final decision about their participation in Switzerland so close to the October deadline is definitely NOT a good sign. Sad to see the Dutch potentially withdrawing. :(
It is not bad news, it is great. I hope the Netherlands will never compete again and sue ebu for our money back. Including the profits ebu made of mistreating our artists.
I honestly think Eurovision needs a kick up the ass to improve, and it won't come from going back to participate, it may come from not participating and funding for a year, but if not, maybe the answer lies in a competing event
I would say that it looks rather doubtful that they would return, but never say never. They could return when and if they feel that the time is right for them, but again, I'm not too sure. Seeing as they were disqualified for no quantifiable reason last year and that Joost has spoken up against the EBU regarding their hypocrisy (and yes, I can certainly agree with him on that front). I wouldn't necessarily say that Anouk is a good candidate if they were to make a return, as the optics would be horrible. Eurovision is a very LGBTQ friendly competition, some performers and even fans are either in the community or are allies. Why I said that was that she's quite openly espoused transphobic views.
I wouldn't jump at the chance of saying that they *aren't* coming back for next year. Just that it looks that way for now, and maybe they could. Who knows?
I hope they come back too 🤞🇳🇱
As a Dutchie I think it would be good for us to not participate in 2025, but AVRO/TROS should send some people there that EBU would have to allow full access so they can thoroughly check if the EBU made the changes they thought were required
Should this not be the case, I think AVRO/TROS should not just also not return in 2026, but even cancel our membership of the EBU and say goodbye to EBU and thus also to ESC
Should then any Dutch broadcaster decide they wish to take the place of AVRO/TROS and replace them as a member of the EBU, the Dutch government should put a law in place that they are not allowed to use any of the public money they might be receiving to cover the cost associated to being en EBU member and to possibly participate at ESC
But this is just my personal opinio
Good we can leave that shitshow behind.
Who is up for a 'Beste zangers' Europe edition? Then we can actually listen to good music.
If the Netherlands does officially state they’re not participating in Eurovision 2025, they would be the only member of the original seven not to been at all three times Switzerland hosted Eurovision (1956, 1989, 2025).
If they let the Netherlands get away with getting themselves banished from the Eurovision, that will send the message that it's alright to the other countries. Imagine if they all threw tantrums to get banned from the contest so they never had to go again? I mean, if you win, your country has to host it next year. It's why Ireland started sucking, because they couldn't afford to host it all of the time. If they could get out of it forever, I think they would.
We never know joost might be able to represent the Netherlands but the reason why he wants to participate for belgium is because he thinks he mights not be able to get into the nl due the the reason that was mensioned
joost klein for eurovision 2025 🇧🇪
Belgium, please win next year, whether Joost is here or not.
Very interesting move from The Netherlands!
It’s a taxpayers money we are gambling with if any EBU can at there will ban entries just like that , why would a country partizepate ? And the courtcase and reasearche about the Joost incident is taking soooo long …. ??!
I hope we never going that disgusting corrupt festival ever again

so is Britain .
Can confirm as a Dutchy, didn't know that until this moment, but these letters are typed by the undead...
honestly i feel they should skip. As a sign of protest.
I agree with you about Bosnia. Such a great country at Eurovision. They could have been another Ukraine at Eurovision, always pumping out good acts. Hopefully they return soon!
So all rumours and no substance ... yet !! we will wait and see !
Anouk says she's ready to participate every year though. She wouls not be popular if she went
anouk sucks. I bet she wouldn’t even qualify if she’d actually participate.
That doesnt mean the netherlands is NOT going to eurovision becau se its not comfirmed at all yet they are still deciding
i knew this was coming
You need to stop writing titles like that!!!

@@Neon-NoodleI agree. You have your fan base and you don’t need to cater to the algorithm.
It's clear that the entire ESC has become that want it didn't want to be.
The new political arena.
The word "transphobe" is no longer used much to address true transphobia, but rather a term to place politics above common sense, but the same goes for other words denoting a sort of discrimination, like "racist" for example. Which is a problem on its own, as it makes it impossible to take the (serious, actually very severe) issues like those to be taken seriously anymore. The usage of the terms have become a form of discrimination of their own, actually, so seeing this being fought out through the ESC really marks were ESC is going.
Let's face it. ESC has been hijacked by politics. It has become the opposite of why it was started. To bring Europe together after it became a mess in two World Wars (the second most particularly as far as ESC is concerned). But now it is becoming a political warzone.
It was clear the last edition was hijacked by Israel, and it really seems they couldn't make Israel win as that would cause a riot so a quick escape (and diversion) to make Switzerland win and making a big deal out of the singer being non-binary (therefore making his sexuality political, see what they are doing?) and it was a clever move, as although the Swiss song was not THAT special, it was the kind of song that could win... it has all the element a winning song could have, vocally good, nice act, singer playing well with the camera, that sort of thing. The non-binary thing wouldn't be something I'd care about if they didn't make such a big deal out of it.
Russia being kicked out, allowing Ukraine in... Me being able to predict Ukraine's last victory without hearing ANY of the participating song with 100% certainty already shows politics, no matter what your position in that war is.
And well, the list goes on.
Unfortunately ESC is only one of the many many big events in which we see this happening. All big sports and entertainment events are covered with politics. All kinds of political manipulation there, whether about sexual stuff like trans or non-binary or queer, and well, what more there is, or about the war in Ukraine, Israel... and so on. But it's even more than this and this has been going on for... well, decades. The last time the Olympic Games were in South-Korea, North-Korea made a big deal out of it that they could compete in South-Korea even setting up a combined ice hockey team with both Northern and Southern Korean players. But some doping scandals have by now also been proven to be false but merely of political nature... the fact that doping is even such a big issue shows the high interests, either political or commericially. The entire race to get a big soccer cup or the Olympics to a country. The destruction of sports and entertainment has been going on for quite awhile and as a herd of brainless sheep people still keep watching all those games.
Hey you can hate me, ridicule me, burn me, roast me, or whatever you want, but know that you are then simply doing that because I am accepting the facts and those facts are not to my liking either, but hating me, won't change then. Accepting those facts won't change them either, but will be the first step to set things in motion to get them changed, but I cannot do that alone, so the more people accepting this the more can be done.
I've been pleading for alternative sports and entertainment events for decades now. Who needs the EBU and their corrupt political rule when we can have a music contest ourselves without their involvement? Who needs a corrupt FIFA when we can have our own soccer competitions and tournaments? Who needs Hollywood when we can make our own movies? I've seen a few "amateur" movies that actually do show really big promise, you know. Do we really need those corrupt idiots to have a good time?
I hope Australia follows suit
Whole countries should withdraw from this zionist gencide supporter contest
Next one will be called 'Afrovision' song contest .. !!
Think Nikki really took Anouks statement out of context. Some people have their genitals on the outside, others don't. That doesn't make the matter any transfobic. It's a biological fact.
Still, its incredibly intensive and very, VERY transphobic.
Why do you care so much about this?
@@ml4757 it is not VERY transphobic. My trans sister (as in actual sister) and the trans husband of my other sister (yes we are very inclusive) are all sick of the nonsense the woke community is shoving down our throats and they have absolutely ruiened it for actual trans men and women who just want to be left alone. And they both agree with JK Rowling and Anouk and all other people who fight womens rights.
The new trans movement should give themselves a different name, cause saying your trans but not commiting to the transition or even care to look like the gender you are going for is NOT a trans men or women.
reactions like this will be coming more and more as it's ridiculous how women are treated these days
@@OdinBartoli I agree with you. The LGBT+ movement started to look like a bunch of whiners and I am part of that movement myself. I start to think to myself "what the fuck, we can do better". For a movement that is promoting love, it is spreading a lot of hate. But maybe my position comes from a person who actually LIVES in a country with homophobic laws so my priorities are different.
I hope the PVV will just cut it out off the budget of the national broadcaster
