American Racing are classic old school muscle car, they look great. Not everyone likes or has the budget for billet aluminum wheels. Keep teaching Trevor, you’re a perfect roll model. My dad never showed any interest so learned on my own the hard way and by reading, watching and asking a million questions. Without exaggeration I was doing oil changes and tune ups on his car by the time I was 12. Thank goodness it was on a simple ‘68 Cougar with a 302 that ended being my first car at 15 years old back in 1974.
@@tjs_welding_and_fabrication It’s been one of my favorite ways to knock down welds on sheet metal. You have much more control and visibility on the area being ground. ~ Nick
Check out resto world in Cincinnati Ohio, they have everything you can think of from early 69s to modern classics , novas chevelles and 55s are their main selling points
Looks like a pretty solid 72, you must not be living in the rust belt. Chevelle’s are getting pretty scarce these days. Even around here in Alabama most I see listed are pretty rusted out.
Ours isn’t too bad. It definitely has rust issues from being left abandoned outside for nearly 25 years. But it’s not nearly as bad as the cars from down south or the rust belt!!! ~ Nick
What do you think of the new 16" wheels? They’re definitely an uncommon choice for a Chevelle, but I think they look fantastic!

Nice work, people will be surprised what you can do with just a few hundred bucks and determination.
The car looks great! The wheels are a huge improvement and I like the look of it better without the trim. Nicely done!
@@jamiesonsime9197 Thanks. There wasn’t a whole lot we could do on our budget, but I think we stretched our dollar pretty well!

Good call Trevor! I think your car looks better without that trim. Cool car man! 🤙🏼
Thanks! I agree on the trim! ~Trevor
Chip Foose displayed that same process with the zip wheel held horizontal to the stud being ground to minimize heat.

Also yes get your son behind the helmet and practice. I got my 10 year old Tig welding now too.
