- The almost inaugural flight of the Wizzair second A321 NEO. Comfortable flight on this brand-new airplane from Budapest to Madrid on a sunny but stormy afternoon in whole Europe.
Wizzair is the first airline in the world to configure the A321NEO to in a super-high density: 239 seats. Despite what it may look, the plane is not uncomfortable at all. The seats aren't the same as in the A321CEO. They are a little bit less comfortable, but something nice for a 3 hours flight.

An amazing video, one of the best I've seen. Some of the views were fantastic and I enjoyed it very much. The neo engines are so much quieter especially during take off. I just wished the cabin manager could be a bit quieter too, can she talk !🤣🤣. Thank you for this it was very, very good.

Well, actually the cabin crew were "silent" almost all time, but take into account that we are watching a 3 hours flight in something around 15 minutes. The audios are edited and adapted to the video. For sure they were not speaking for all the flight!! haha

Negativo! Depende de lo caluroso que sea el verano, naturalmente, pero sí que llegan a quedarse sin nieve. He volado muchas veces sobre ellos, durante todas las épocas del año, y los he visto completamente cubiertos y sin ninguna nieve también. De hecho, hay variso vídeos en el canal en los que se los ve grises sin nada de nieve.

Buah!! Qué pedazo de video tío. Súper chulos los planos y muy bonitas las vistas.
Vaya pedazos de motores, qué pasada. Muy curioso cuando te fijas en las aspas y el dibujito del centro, el efecto óptico según la velocidad a la que giran, parece que van en otro sentido o más despacio, jeje.
Da gusto ver un avión tan nuevo, todo limpio e impecable. Y muy poquito ruído. Cada vez son más silenciosos, no se oye tanto ese rugido de motor.
Una de las partes que me da un poco de cague es cuando pegan el giro nada más despegar o cuando ya van bajando y empiezan también a girar para un lado u otro... siempre pienso, ay que se vaya a caer, porqué no esperan a girar cuando estén más altos jajajaja.
Mi próximo vuelo con Volotea en el B717, muy curioso también ese avión.
Y ya falta menos para el NY en el A350 :)

Como bien dices, cada vez los motores son más silenciosos, lo cual es genial. Sin embargo, yo soy de los que echa de menos el rugido de éstos, al menos al despegar. Una vez en vuelo sí que se agradece que el ruído sea menor.
Respecto a Volotea, tengo un vídeo en el canal volando en uno de sus Boeing 717. Un avión bastante cómodo para corto radio. Aunque evidentemente, nada que ver con el A350! jaja

Gracias por el link al video, ya lo había visto, de todos modos no es la primera vez, uso mucho Volotea, cuestiones de corazón xD.
Es la única que tiene la ruta SVQ-SDR y también la he usado para SVQ-BIO, aunque esa la comparte con vueling.
Incluso hice la ruta Bilbao-Venecia, que fueron un par de horas creo y la verdad que es un avión muy cómodo. Tienen un rugido de motor muy característico, distinto a otros aviones que he probado. Supongo que será por el tipo de motor o que estén ubicados en la cola.

Hace dos semanas viajé de Vigo a Madrid con el A320 neo de iberia y la verdad que es otra cosa, muy poco ruido y muy cómodo. Buen vídeo, un saludo.

Iberia, en mi opinión, tiene cabinas turista para vuelos Europeos muy incómodas, y el motivo es que da un espacio enorme a las filas delanteras (realmente mayor al necesario), donde se sientan pasajeros de Business Class, y a cambio muy reducido al resto de filas del avión.
En ese sentido, el modelo de Lufthansa, por ejemplo, que da la misma distancia a todas las filas en sus aviones de rutas Europeas, creo que es el modelo a seguir. Y una distnacia amplia, claro.
En cualquier caso, me alegra que hayas tenido una buena experiencia con ellos, eso es lo que importa!
Por cierto, tengo algún vídeo Vigo-Madrid y vuelta en el canal, tanto con Air Europa como con Iberia. Échales un ojo! Quizás te traigan algún buen recuerdo!

Respecto a las miniaturas de los aviones, si quieres puedo cogerte una cuando vuelva a volar con ellos. En cualquier caso, te dejo a continuación un link a la tienda más grande en Europa dedicada al modelismo de aviones. Esta en Amsterdam, pero envían a toda Europa. Tienen muchísima variedad y buenos precios.

Nice video, i see lately all the flight takes off and landing from this runway 31L in Budapest, does the main one is under maintenance upgrade?
Actually, I've made one mistake when editing the video. This takeoff was from runway 13L.
Anyway, at Budapest airport, there are 2 physical runways, that in turn means that there are 4 runways because you can use both directions on both runways.
Budapest runways are parallel, so 1 is used for takeoffs and the other for landings.

Excelente avión el NEO!!!!! esta vez volaste en uno propulsado con los novedosos motores Pratt & Whitney PW1100G que es la otra opción que Airbus da para las aerolíneas, me atrevo a decir que es hasta un poquito más ruidoso que el CFM 1A LEAP de la primera vez en que volaste en un NEO...... saludos
Hasta donde yo se, todos los A321NEO de Wizzair (por ahora sólo tiene 3) están propulsados por PW. Creo que te debes estar equivocando de persona en ese sentido, pues este es mi segundo vídeo en A321NEO y el primero también fue con Wizzair! jajaj
En cualquier caso, gran avión, sin duda. A ver cuando volvemos a tener el MAX en el cielo de nuevo. Tengo ganas de probarlo!

@@OnBoardHD En efecto, ya me dí cuenta de mi pequeño error jejejejeje, pero si se que Lufthansa tiene aviones A320 NEO con motores CFM 1A-LEAP el cual me parece que se oye aún mas silencioso que el P&W, si tienes oportunidad de volar en ese avión de la aerolínea que te acabo de mencionar, podrás notar la diferencia entre los mismos mientras se trabaja en que den autorización a los 737-MAX de volver a volar.
@@drifteradol86z Lo cierto es que he volado ya en el A320NEO de Lufthansa y será uno de los próximos vídeos que tengamos en el canal. Dentro de unas 2 semanas o así.
El próximo sábado toca Ryanair, que ya hace más de mes del último vídeo con ellos y los fans de RYR que ven el canal ya me preguntan que cuando es el siguiente! jaja

The pitch was the same in all rows, except emergency exit rows and the first row. Actually, it's not so bad the legroom, but I found the seats less comfortable than the ones they were using on the other A321. I understand that they need to put as many passengers as possible i the plane to make low fares profitable, but the seat comfort is something important as well. Especially when they will start to make longer flights with this NEOs.
@@OnBoardHD Hi...if you haven't flown so far,try Easyjet new A321NEO..excellent experience,legroom,leathery feel of seats..I think you will like it alot more than Wizz..I did a 3h 20' and it was great..My seat was 12A

Totalmente de acuerdo! La bandeja es muy muy muy pequeña. La verdad es que no se el motivo por el cual no la hacen un poco más grande, especialmente sabiendo que Wizzair hace vuelos muy largos en algunas de sus rutas (Budapest-Islas Canarias, por ejemplo) en las que tener un mesita de un tamaño normal puede marcar la diferencia.

That terminal 2A in Budapest need an upgrade. Absolutely agree.
It's a huge contrast when you compare it with the main building. I think the main terminal building is one of the most beautiful airport in Europe, but that boarding zone for low-cost airlines is really ugly haha

The Wizzair A321ceo has 39 rows, and 2 of them have 4 seats instead of 6 (because they are emergency exit rows). The Wizzair A321neo has 40 rows and all of them have 6 seats except one that has 5.

Does Wizz Air use A321s and A321NXs interchangeably throughout their network? I am looking at their TLV-BUD route and once in a while the Neo shows up.
Actually I dont know the policy... but since the NEO has 19 additional seats, I guess they use them according to the demand of each flight. 😐
Qué chulada de turbinas (motores) Estéticamente son una belleza,tecnológicamente son una maravilla,hay una reducción considerable de sonido.
La verdad es que le quedan genial al A320. Esta es la tendencia, que el fan sea cada vez mayor (hasta llegar a cierto límite), más silenciosos y que consuman menos.
El MAX va por el mismo camino en cuanto a motores, al igual que el A220 (ex-CS series de Bombardier).

Cuando compras el vuelo, a la hora de elegir asientos, en Wizz Air hay alguna manera de saber en el avión en el que voy a viajar? Para así poder elegir el asiento a la perfección
Precisamente ahí es donde lo ves: el número de asientos, filas, salidas de emergencia... te dice claramente qué avión es. No dice expresamente el modelo en ningún lado.

¡Otro video genial Lucas!. Eso si, la terminal 2A del Aeropuerto de Budapest sólo con verla da "repelús" del aspecto tan racano y rudimentario que tiene.
Respecto al vuelo que tuve este miércoles (ALC-CGN con Ryanair) , simplemente fue genial, ni una sola turbulencia, una tripulación super simpática y vistas muy buenas (Islas Baleares, Alpes e inmediaciones de la zona de Colonia en descenso). El avión en el que viajé era el EI-DHS, y durante el rodaje a pista en ALC (despegue por pista 10) vi el EI-GDZ de Ryanair (del que hiciste video con el vuelo LPA-SCQ). Ahora a ver como se tercia el vuelo del martes (DUS-ALC) con Laudamotion.

La verdad es que la terminal 2A de Budapest deja bastante que desear, al menos, visulamente hablando. He volado en invierno desde ella y la verdad es que dentro del edificio, frío NO se pasa, esa es la verdad.
Me alegra que haya ido bien ese vuelo! Ahora a disfrutar de la estancia y luego a pensar en volver a volar de nuevo! Que tengas buen vuelo con LAUDA! :)
@@OnBoardHD ¡Gracias Lucas!. Respecto a la terminal 2A del Aeropuerto de Budapest, mientras que no se pase frío en invierno, la estética da un poco igual (aunque igualmente podría tener un aspecto más currado). Ya iré contando respecto al vuelo de este martes.

Recently had first trip on Wizz air From Liverpool John Lennon in England to lasi Romania Flight date 12th April 2019 W6 3698.For a budget airline I was happy with the flight arrived in Romania 30 minutes ahead of time.The aircraft was a 320 Airbus did not look anywhere near as clean as your 321 in the inside obviously a lot older aircraft.Seats were comfy which is a bonus for me as I have a spinal problem,we sat 1A & 1B outbound & inbound.If I was to complain about anything it would be two things 1,Could not understand a word the cabin crew were saying and they could not understand me or my daughter,2,They only had 3 spirit drinks for sale whisky,Gin and vodka which I thought was a pretty poor choice and they asked my daughter (Jodie)if she would like a straw with her drink (Vodka & lemonade)which I thought was really odd.A little refurbish in the cabin and I say all would be good.Defiantly fly with them again.Forgot to say inbound flight left 30 minutes late due to delay on inbound aircraft but we still landed 5 minutes before arrival time into John Lennon Liverpool England.Thumbs up for this video and a thumbs up for Wizz air from me.👍

So, taking everything together, we can say you have a quite good experience with Wizzair. For sure there are some points on where they can improve (as all airlines I would say) but I think they deserve the good results that they are getting.
Together with Ryanair, are almost the only airlines that are offering super-low-fares. Then comes Easyjet, that offers what I would call low-fares (but never as low as Wizzair and Ryanair) and then the others.

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience I always enjoy your reports,worked at Manchester airport for many years so seen quite a bit.I live 5 minutes from Manchester airport so still see loads.And yes great experience with Wizz air just s shame they don’t operate out of Manchester.If we had flown from Manchester to Romania it would have took all day with stop overs.45 minute drive to Liverpool John Lennon airport then 3 hour flight so much better this way.Keep them reports coming.👍

Definitely, in your case, going to Liverpool was the best option.
By the way, Manchester is one of the airports that are my "objectives" for this year. Maybe I'll try to fly some airline that I didn't try yet, like Thomas Cook or Jet2. Let's see... :)

At least the other ULCCs around the world have a full tray table. Frontier, Allegiant, and Spirit are the only 3 ULCCs in the world (all 3 in the US) that use a useless tiny metal tray table. If there are others please comment.
I still don't understand why the airlines (the seat designers, actually) are reducing the size of the tray table. Is something that I can't guess why is happening.

Considering that how s.hit airline this is, the meal you bought on board is almost like street prices in Oslo. The video is 5* by the way! :) But the wizz and budapest airport together are hopeless, unfortunately!

I really like Budapest airport (the main building, of course). I think terminal 2A, where low-cost airlines are operating, should be upgraded.
A couple of years ago, when I flew from it for the first time, I thought it was something temporal, while they would be building another terminal. Now I can see that is almost finished another building, so maybe they will move there?
I can't say anything bad about Wizzair. I flew with them 6 or 7 times already and I always had good experiences with them. Actually, I'm always flying with them if a Wizzair flight is available in the route that I'm looking for.
About food prices yes, they are really expensive in planes, but it's the way that all airlines have to get extra money.

why have so many seats when it can't be filled?
Oh! For sure they can be filled! The fact that on a Wednesday flight the plane wasn't full on this particular route, doesn't mean that anything. Wizzair is known for having the policy that they want their planes full (sometimes by lowering a lot the prices).

It would be an interesting one, that's for sure.
Let's see what I can do. Right now I'm extremely busy, so I'm not flying, nor recording, nor editing anything (until late-July). I'd planned this some months ago, so I have enough videos already edited, uploaded and scheduled for the next 12 weeks, so there's no problem at all for the channel.
From August, I will go back to the 2 videos-per-week schedule, and that train videos could be one of them.

This is absolutely miserable, seems like only the budapest airport is like this for low cost in Europe! :( In a recent Hungarian article, Varadi wizz chef criticised the state of that building in the middle of the apron, but the strange thing is, that after Malev had gone bankrupt and bud airport had built that very thing, not a single low cost “screamed”, that “No, we don’t want it, we want comfortable circumstances for our pax, we want the jetbridge!” A.ssholes!! But like I said, your video is great!! 👍

Take into account that this video shows in 15 minutes a 3 hours flight. The audio messages that might seem a lot in the video, were not that way in a 3 hours flight!! haha

Well, is not a weird language, it's Hungarian, the airline original language. Additionally, we were flying from Budapest, so it's normal that they were using Hungarian and English for the PA messages.
