- Wizzair Trip Report from Tenerife to Vienna onboard a Wizzair Airbus A320. A long route of more than 3.600 km across the Atlantic, Africa, the Mediterranean and Europe.
This was a comfortable Wizzair flight from Tenerife, in the Canary Islands, to Vienna in Austria. For the first time, I've been more than 5 hours on an A320.
On this Wizzair flight we've seen: Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Morocco, an amazing sunset over the Mediterranean and part of Europe in the night. An amazing flight for a very low price with Wizzair.

Wizz air is an amazing airline.The experience has been amazing.Even for holiday flights
Well, amazing... I wouldn't call them amazing... What they are is a good option for flying cheap in Europe. :)
I have recently flown with WizzAir from Athens to Budapest and it is awesome! Very kind cabin crew, very comfortable plane, very clean (Airbus A321 neo) but, there was a drawback: a 2h delay!
I agreee! I always had great experience flying with them!
ACtually, I will be flying very soon again with them. Exactly on the 24th December! :D
Lo que más me encanta de los vuelos en el alba o al atardecer, son los cambios de colores que se da en el cielo a gran altura, Todo el tiempo me deja deslumbrado ver esos cambios que no puedes ver estando en tierra, muy buen vuelo.
Si, sí! Totalmente! A mi es algo que me encanta ver una y otra vez. Siempre tiene algo distinto, nunca es exactamente igual :)
Si puedo elegir, prefiero amaneceres porque la gran mayoría de la gente va durmiendo y ni hay ningún ruido en el avión jaja

Thanks for the trip report OnBoardHD! Now I know what it’s like to fly WizzAir for nearly 6 hrs. Fun fact, HA-LYF no longer has the Wizz Air old livery. It was repainted back in 2021

Gran video Lucas!! El aeropuerto Reina Sofia lo tengo a 15 minutos de mi casa y normalmente es el que utilizo para salir de la isla. Espero que habran la nueva terminal que lleva construida hace un montón de tiempo pero no la utilizan y estamos pendiente de que aprueben hacer la segunda pista porque ya no da a basto con una sola pista.

OnBoardHD - Flight Experience yes it was very good. I flew Norwegian 737-800 From Tenerife south to London Gatwick and we aborted the landing and everyone on the plane was terrified. But we did land eventually.

From the video, I'd say that the flight met expectations (including crying child). Seat pitch was no worse than other bargain airlines, the for-purchase refreshments were pretty standard, and there were no complaints about service or cleanliness. No one expects IFE or wifi on these flights, though an outlet for your own device would have been a plus. If you're on a tight budget, Wizzair would be a logical choice.
Low-cost airlines, in European flights, offers almost the same as legacy airlines but for a lower price. The only difference comes when travelling long-haul.

Haha The nose of the plane was just that the original got some damage and they took the first one that they had available to continue flying. On the next maintenance, they will change it.

My longest A320 Family flight was onboard an Avianca A319 from Montevideo to Bogotá, with a flight time of 6 hours and 30 minutes. :)

My longest flight on a single-aisle plane was with Ryanair from Tenerife South to Warsaw. Around 5:30h :)

Pues sí. La verdad es que es de los más largos. Ya había hecho esta misma ruta pero a la inversa, con Laudamotion.
La ruta más larga que hay en el canales desde Tenerife Sur a Varsovia con Ryanair. Un poco más larga que esta.

It's normal for airlines to operate the A320/21 on such routes. 1,988 miles is Medium Haul and operated by short haul aircraft and crew. The 737 Variants are also commonly used on such sectors. It is a 5 hour 20 minutes flight. There is a one hour time difference. It really is normal for such airlines to operate these aircraft on such routes. It is at the longer end of a Medium Haul flight. I think the Wizz air crew will operate this outbound and inbound, unlike long haul airlines where they will operate one sector.

I've seen that Wizzair is growing in many places right now. They are pushing hard in places where other airlines are dissapearing. London is a good example, but also Milano.
I'll try to fly to Faro, however, I'm not sure when that will be possible...
si afinas el oido un poco en final se esucha el sonido del piloto automatico. Buen vuelo, espero ansioso los de largo alcance jejeje.
En los Airbus es relativamente fácil escuchar el sonido el A/P cuando se desconecta sí. Parece que las cabinas de los Boeing están un poco más insonorizadas porque es complicado escucharlo cuando vas de pasajero y no va exactamente en la primera fila.

Thanks so much!! SAS is one of the airlines that I will fail to try this year. AirBaltic and LOT, that were both objectives for this 2019, were flown yesterday already and the videos are coming soon! Now, SAS, Icelandair, TAROM, Aegean and Finnair are my main priority for 2020 in Europe :)

Beautiful video with incredible views. Do you remember how much did the Ticket cost? I prefer Ryanair/Laudamotion instead of Wizzair as RYR/LDM were always cheaper when I had to fly somewhere.

Between Ryanaur and Lauda I really prefer Ryanair. Lauda is just a cheap copy, in my experience.

10:40 : Experience: I was flying on the HA-LWE, and we asked for the special WIZZ100 aircraft design. They said they need to check it, but there is a very low chance to have it onboard for buying. Unfortunatly, the special WIZZ100 was emptied out, but the normal was available. We decided to not buy anthing, hoping on the return leg will maybe available. Heh. Of course. The return leg was with the same aircraft. (HA-LWE (DEB-LTN; LTN-DEB)) So the special WIZZ100 design also was unavailable. So we couldn't buy special WIZZ100, but we bought the normal A321. And on the first flight, they said that they haven't seen special WIZZ100 aircraft over a month, and this flight was 2 month ago.

This flight was made approximately 1 month ago. The flight wasn't full. I don't know, maybe around 60-65%.

wizzair is decent i traveled from Sweden to Poland i just hate priority thingy

@@OnBoardHD Me too. I really liked that my flight from Luton was in a very busy time. The aircraft which tooked up from Debrecen, actually, tooked up about 1 hour BEFORE schedule due to heavy traffic in Luton and prevent delays for the return flight to Debrecen. And it was necessary, because the return leg tooked up about 6 minutes AFTER schedule.

Odio las turbulencias !!
Son algo totalmente normal. Puedes verlas como las olas en el mar. Al fin y al cabo tanto el agua como el aire son fluidos. Las turbulencias y las olas podrían considerarse algo "equivalente". Los aviones están más que preparados para aguantar turbulencias muchísimo más fuertes que las de este vídeo.

Pues la verdad es que depende mucho de la cantidad de billetes que se hayan vendido con anterioridad al que compres. En concreto a mi me costo 39 euros creo recordar. Un precio buenísimo para un vuelo de más de 3.600 km! :)

@@joe755 Ah! Sí, ahora si que te entiendo.
Pues depende del peso máximo al despegue del cada avión, pues la estela turbulenta que deja puede durar más o menos y ser más o menos fuerte.
Se deja entre 2 y 3 minutos entre despegues por la misma pista.
