I mean they made it hard to change the battery so I didn't have much faith in the alternator😂. Took me 35 minutes to do the battery last night. Then to change the cabin air filter took me another 15 minutes.
DIY here your video is great but I googled this anti rotation bolt and can't find a single thing. Only thing I know that restricts the engine and tyranny is the torque mount. I don't believe your talking about that. Any more idea where o can find this? Thank you
My ford started malfunctioning and I thought it was the current battery sensor because when I first tested the alternator it was okay. Now that I changed the sensor and tested it again, it definitely is the alternator. I’m so sad that I have to take it apart.
@@shanecoon6895 runs for a few mins, then the car feels like it's going into neutral and I can rev the engine in drive. Have a 2016 escape also. Ford dealer said the alternator was overcharging and is bad, and that can cause the car to go into "limp" mode
@@shanecoon6895 I also thought it was trans but the guy said the alternator over charging could get the system haywire supposedly that’s why it could drive a bit then stop working, Fords are just trouble, why is an alternator so come plicares to get too
@@DougOrDouglas that could be a possibility. Honestly the alternator job was not that bad. Take your time. Dont cut any steps and allow at least 5-6 hours.
I don't know what ford was thinking with this design honestly. The alternator is the one component that is likely to go out and they should've made it more accessible!!! I have the 2.0 and I am hesitant to even touch it

did the car have any symtoms? for bad alternator? like car stop driving
It will just die and not start back up without a jump start. What is yours doing

Exactly!! Dude it was a job for sure. Thankfully I have a lift in my garage.
