@@thethriftysnowmobiler9801 Did you try a new CDI box or what did you do to get it running if you even did?? that was my prob, it wasn't giving spark to the plug, put on a spare i had and it started right up

It wound up being a corroded wire in the plug. I pulled on all my wires and a wire pulled out of the back of the plug. I replaced the plug

I got a 02 grizzley 660. Long story short. The starter relay stuck I think and it melted and almost caught fire. Ever since it won’t start. Replaced carb, coil, starter relay, checked timing. Timing looks good. It tries to backfire but won’t even start and run for a second even using starting fluid. Untapped harness and inspected. I’m thinking cdi box next??

In my opinion CDI should be last thing to try. Check for spark. If you have Spark or inconsistent spark then I would pull the flywheel and look at the woodruff key. Sometimes when having issues like that the woodruff key gets broken, misaligning the flywheel and causing an ignition issue

Could be a coil or the wire to the coil, the pick up coil that is in the side cover on the left side if you are sitting on the 4 wheeler also I would check where the wire goes into the plug. For me it was the white and green wire that goes into the pick up coil was corroded at the plug at the CDI box. it pulled right out at the plug.

Sorry I don't. There is a copy of the service manual floating around on the Internet for free. It has every spec in it you would ever want to know about a 660

@@thethriftysnowmobiler9801 oh damn hope the healing from that is going well. I'm subbed so I'll definitely be watching the videos when you start back. I'm trying to make mine street legal in Atlanta, just need it to run 🤣

The ole collar bone never healed together so the only option is surgery. It never hurt even when it happened. I guess I am a rare case because usually a collar bone break hurts like hell I hear. It gets sore if I over do things. I have had that motor down to basically just the case so many times I got tired of tearing it apart. I have so much money in now I cant just sell it. I think a cylinder I got is faulty or the head I got might be warped. Maybe soon I will have the will to throw some more money and time at it.
