Dang Man a little over the top!!! I wish my 26 year old had not of seen this and i hope you have not got a patton on it!!! Great Job!!!! A little to great!!
Very good job in my opinion, especially for the application you’re talking about. Would be a bit cramped to live in full time but then again you’re not living in it full-time lol. Again I think you did a very good job
💋..... brilliant, just brilliant. Superb workmanship. Such a skill you have. My wishlist would be to have the camper extend across the full bed and to use a hinged opening to gain access to the toolbox, similar to the way that sailboats give access to the outboard motor through a compartment in the cabin. But absolutely brilliantly executed. Thank you for sharing.
Stewart fox you really should make and sell these, so unique and functional for the size as well. Would be ideal for European market, I would certainly love to have one as it would probably fit a European truck.
@Slippery Storm no, but I would love one. Don't think a European truck would be as good as an American truck as the bed is way smaller compared to yank trucks. We need bigger beds here in UK
I love what you did to this micro home very well made so glad you showed this to us thanks so much your so talented wow this is so great all I can say is wow
I built something very similar last year but found I had to paint the exterior white, otherwise it absorbed too much sun and overheated the interior. Great job!
Your appreciation of ergonomics and practicality is evident throughout your exceptional build! You have inspired many people to consider a similar construction and even to reconsider what they may have felt was necessary before they saw your build and realized that a compact camper can also be a well equipped camper! I am reminded of the compact truck camper that the sign guy built, it was of similar layout internally and external, utilising the maximum from such a small footprint. I have subscribed and look forward to seeing your beautiful compact travel cabin on its adventures.
That is an awesome micro camper. You put a lot of thought into the design and I like that your budget minded and find cheaper alternatives where you can. Not sure if you have a build video for this or not but it's something I would definitely be interested in seeing. Great job and thanks for sharing!
I live in my rv and found it was easier and lighter to put a projector and pull down screen, it projects anything from my phone (youtube, Netflix, Disney➕) and also connects Xbox with an hdmi. Saved a bunch of space, weight, and don't have to worry about a TV bouncing/breaking.
Nicely done Sir! Question, did you use any butyl tape or caulk under the aluminum corner trim? Did you do a build video? Those DIY jacks are friggin awesome! I'm definitely going to try to copy those.
Glad you put the slide show at the end showing how you made it. Helps me understand the design. If I was building it, I would have put a "nose" instead of the wedge you built on the front to give more space inside. But maybe the door of your toolbox would not allow that.
Wow, great idea. I've been thinking about building (or having built) something like this from 1" extruded foamboard and fiberglass for a mid sized pu. Should be very light weight. Still worrying about attachment points and other stressed areas. You've given me some great ideas.
Super impressive outside like it was commercial built well-built. Impressive that it sleeps 3. Myself I would like a little bit more room but definitely this is super cool.
Nice simple design. Don't understand the microwave or the tv in this day and age everyone has a phone or tablet use a portable projector ifin you need to share what you watch. Great video keep it up thx
How long is your bed? I love your quality work. But ,It works fine if you are 5' tall?. By just looking from outside your truck bed has a tool box ,you only have 5.5' left? How you manage to sleep? Adapt to sleep in folding position?
Nice job!!! Very cool design and great use of space. Very well thought out. Impressive that it’ll sleep 3, I was like everyone else...”nice for one person”, but 3, great use of space and imagination. I hope you and your family get many enjoyable years out of your micro camper. Fantastic execution!!!
I would build a larger camper that extend to the front of the cap, you will have more space to install more pelican box to store all your tool, and install solar panel on the lid of the pelican box. Main sleeping area will be above the cap, and you might have room for a indoor wet bath.
Your CO2 detector needs to be in a low spot like maybe on the bench wall. CO2 is heavier than air! Just an FYI. I didn’t read the other comments so not sure if anyone mentioned it! Nice build!
You could probably get a 30 to 50 gal water tank under toolbox, some pray tanks have 12v pump mounted on them, that'll give you enough water for cleaning and shower for several days,
Dude you have some really awesome ideas, Like water heater in a plastic storage Box bolted to the outside of the wall. The 2" receivers On all 4 corners with welded up jacks To put it in-and-out of the truck and also to hold it down to the truck bed when you're driving , Brilliant I think and I hope it's OK but I intend to use Some of these ideas.
Brilliant, so much love for tool box! You manage to put 3 in there! If you try little bit more harder, you'll be able to manage one more under the bed! Or maybe 4 dead people in that 4'10"X6'6" box! If it was me with two other in there, I will weak up dead in the morning with the smell of fart, beo and bad breath, let alone Co2 ! Good job, thumbs-up anyway.
How did you connect the panels without screws I mean from the pictures I see no screws that's exactly what I want to do I have a f150 long bed except it backed the window leaving the bed open in the front so I can still use my truck as a truck a little smaller or me only four and one half maybe You did the kind job !!!
All the framing is pocket holes, wood glue, and screws. The panels are held together with construction glue and ¾" staples from a pneumatic nail gun. Holds together fine.
Oh. My. Goodness. This little big camper is amazing! Built all by yourself too. You;re friggin brilliant. And me thinking 'how in the world does he sleep a full grown man in that?!' Insert sheepish grin. I love it. Congrats! Star Sackaney
VERY good lookin build. Very pro built looking and not so diy. The only thing I would have changed is to design to fit the full length of your truck bed. Don't know how important your tool box is, but you would have a tad bit more space. Wish you could do a build video. Love to see the construction and the materials used.
My toolbox is crammed full of tools and gear, plus it's wired for lights and has a power inverter in it. There is also a 21gal water tank and pump under it. With my old truck camper taking the toolbox out was the biggest pain. Sorry all I have is build pictures at the end.
I'm a fabricator and a trailer enthusiast...I've done several builds myself...your build is truly brilliant. Extremely well done.
Means a lot coming from you. Thanks so much!
One of the smartest “simple” builds I have ever seen, and so great to have your son’s help! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
As as a lot of folks have said, this is definitely the best micro-camper build I've seen.
Brother, I'm very impressed with your micro and working on on myself when I ran across your site.
Great seeing your son was part of the project too, that's bonding and quality time. Well done mate. Regards from Down Under
Awesome little build. The amount of thought that goes into anything 1fhis compact is intense.
You gotta rename this to Gnarnia build bc it is surprisingly (inspiringly) spacious for a micro build. Well done!
Dang Man a little over the top!!! I wish my 26 year old had not of seen this and i hope you have not got a patton on it!!! Great Job!!!! A little to great!!
Nice job, well thought out. I'll look at your other videos for construction details.
Very good job in my opinion, especially for the application you’re talking about. Would be a bit cramped to live in full time but then again you’re not living in it full-time lol. Again I think you did a very good job
Super sweet setup!
Making your camper so you can close your tail gate is awesome.
Especially with a lockable tailgate. Keeps people from getting into your camper. !!!
I’m amazed at your beautiful low cost truck 🛻 micro camper! Awesome job!!
That is a great build!!! My goodness you thought of all the important necessities! Super! 👍
That's incredible! Everyone needs one!!!! Small shout out from a few streets over! It actually is amazing!
The box idea for the AC unit is so dope.
very nice. like the swivel table. and the lift jacks. hope you get many years out of it.
I really liked your jack set up too!
That is really brilliant!
That could be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Wow. Nice work.
Nice build! I think you should've built all the way out over the tailgate!
Very well done. What is the finished interior height of the living space?
💋..... brilliant, just brilliant. Superb workmanship. Such a skill you have. My wishlist would be to have the camper extend across the full bed and to use a hinged opening to gain access to the toolbox, similar to the way that sailboats give access to the outboard motor through a compartment in the cabin. My email is wtaylor19862@gmail.com if you’d be interested in making one.
Please make me one, I will pay
@Slippery Storm no, but I would love one. Don't think a European truck would be as good as an American truck as the bed is way smaller compared to yank trucks. We need bigger beds here in UK
Nice build. I reminds me of the Razor campers, only affordable. I really liked your use of the trailer toungue jacks.
I love what you did to this micro home very well made so glad you showed this to us thanks so much your so talented wow this is so great all I can say is wow
Well done. That's a great little camper. Thanks for sharing.
Really super build! Nice work! Two changes come to mind. A max air fan ans maybe a 270 degree canopy.
I built something very similar last year but found I had to paint the exterior white, otherwise it absorbed too much sun and overheated the interior. Great job!
Wow, best micro camper I've seen by far- you used the space so well.
Really nice job!
I'm impressed with how much you were able to fit in such a tiny box without it looking cluttered.
Dang! I thought that sleeps 1 but 3? Took a lot of engineering. Good job!
You can just about build anything with a kreg jig! Good looking build!
Rhino liner is awesome. I use it for a lot of stuff, even my mobile home metal roof. !!!
Your appreciation of ergonomics and practicality is evident throughout your exceptional build!
You have inspired many people to consider a similar construction and even to reconsider what they may have felt was necessary before they saw your build and realized that a compact camper can also be a well equipped camper!

Awesome, thorough, detailed micro build! Enjoy, safe travels.
Man, this is the best version I have eve seen, impressive and quality is amazing
Finally someone who stained there wood!!!👍🎯🎯🎯
That is an awesome micro camper. You put a lot of thought into the design and I like that your budget minded and find cheaper alternatives where you can. Not sure if you have a build video for this or not but it's something I would definitely be interested in seeing. Great job and thanks for sharing!
I would buy one of those. If you start taking orders let me know
Was thinking same thing
I'll buy one too! ! This is awesome!😊
Good job! Hope you guys have some of the best times ever...kids grow up fast
Nicely done Sir! Question, did you use any butyl tape or caulk under the aluminum corner trim? Did you do a build video? Those DIY jacks are friggin awesome! I'm definitely going to try to copy those.
You are smart the RV industry would love you great build
you did a micro camper this good, I can only think how good a larger one would be.
Thank you, I'll have a video up soon of my latest square drop/toy hauler build.
Very nice and well thought out. Love the jacks. Fold down bed is legit.
Very nice job, excellent use of space, so well thought out, love it :)
I see so many people paint various items and never use primer. You and I must be the ones that don't understand the purpose of primer. Nice build! 👍
Looks awesome! Maybe I-bolt instead of I-screw for the bunk bed 🤔
Glad you put the slide show at the end showing how you made it. Helps me understand the design. If I was building it, I would have put a "nose" instead of the wedge you built on the front to give more space inside. But maybe the door of your toolbox would not allow that.
You might consider a hoola hoop with a shower curtain that hooks to the ceiling
That is one smart truck camper, brilliant use of space . Very well thought out
That's awesome! I'd love to have something like this! Great design and efficient use of space!!
Cool Build.
Please put the CO detector near the floor, CO is much heavier than air.
Yeah, I get that comment a lot... I did. Thanks!
Wow looks good for a DIY truck camper what are the dimensions of your camper? I have a ford f150 5.5 bed
Wow, great idea. I've been thinking about building (or having built) something like this from 1" extruded foamboard and fiberglass for a mid sized pu. Should be very light weight. Still worrying about attachment points and other stressed areas. You've given me some great ideas.
If you do build one, video it. I was thinking "light weight" build too. But with what. Your idea got me going.
Well thought out! Very cool weekender.
Super impressive outside like it was commercial built well-built. Impressive that it sleeps 3. Myself I would like a little bit more room but definitely this is super cool.
It looks small from outside, but inside it due to your smart design, looks big! well done,
That is a smart little camper well done some nice little tips to great job
Great video. Great build. Thank you for sharing. You gave me a ton of ideas.
Wow! VERY nice truck camper to be so small! So small but yet so very efficient! You really did a jam-up job on this project! Kudos!
We sleep "east to west" I'm 6'2" and can stretch out fine. The bottom makes into a full size bed and the fold down bunk sleeps my 10yo
Nice job!!! Very cool design and great use of space. Very well thought out. Impressive that it’ll sleep 3, I was like everyone else...”nice for one person”, but 3, great use of space and imagination. I hope you and your family get many enjoyable years out of your micro camper.
Fantastic execution!!!
Careful somebody doesn't shut the tailgate and trap you inside.
The window on the back door rolls down for that exact reason so I could open the tailgate even if I was inside.
I would build a larger camper that extend to the front of the cap, you will have more space to install more pelican box to store all your tool, and install solar panel on the lid of the pelican box. Main sleeping area will be above the cap, and you might have room for a indoor wet bath.
That is really cool! Great job! 👍
Briliant, thanks for sharing. Im so borrowing a few ideas.
It is awesome. I think could have extended top portion to go over the cab to gain more space. Congratulations.
Man that is so awesome I really have to hand it to you oh my God that is perfect for that size that's awesome
Cool build! Way to utilize the kids fun equipment into your own! 😂
Thanks for ideas
Extremely well thought out and executed.
That is incredible. You should do custom builds on the side.
Awsome job! Excellent use of space.
Absolutely ingenious idea... great build ...
Onward and Upward is the watchword.
Very nicely done!! Thanks for sharing!
Your CO2 detector needs to be in a low spot like maybe on the bench wall. CO2 is heavier than air! Just an FYI. I didn’t read the other comments so not sure if anyone mentioned it! Nice build!
Thanks
Awesome build.
Off the charts mr fox ..fabbo 😁happy trails pilgrim
Amazing super well thought out camper! Enjoy your travels.
Good skill set .I would have mitered a few angles however, smart design congratulations enjoy.
Exellent build my friend.... Very practical and usefull. Thank you for sharing with us, big shout out to you from México.
Well done! Combining some really great ideas!!!!!
Nice use of space !
Pretty cool build
You could probably get a 30 to 50 gal water tank under toolbox, some pray tanks have 12v pump mounted on them, that'll give you enough water for cleaning and shower for several days,
(9x16x34) 21gallon is what I had to use under the toolbox. I got a used pump from a rv salvage yard. It's plenty enough for some hot showers.
Nice build - some great ideas - love the water heater in the external box.
Cheers
Brilliant, so much love for tool box! You manage to put 3 in there! If you try little bit more harder, you'll be able to manage one more under the bed! Or maybe 4 dead people in that 4'10"X6'6" box! If it was me with two other in there, I will weak up dead in the morning with the smell of fart, beo and bad breath, let alone Co2 ! Good job, thumbs-up anyway.
A R
I feel bad for anyone else sleeping in places that small with me....
Other scientists have referred to it as the Dutch Oven Effect!
What do you use for steps to get the Mrs. in the camper ?
I have a step I built that goes into the hitch on the back of the truck.
Looks great, how does the table swivel on the pipe , and where did you find the clamp that holds the pipe?
I got all the stuff for it at home Depot. Here's a link to the type table it is.
ua-cam.com/video/owluWNKs7dU/v-deo.html
@@W0NT0NFU1 : Thanks for the link . Great ideas . Cheers
Nice, maybe some kind of folding step ladder to get in and out easy but I’m sure you’ve already thought of that
I built a step that goes in the hitch. I used a yeti for awhile. Most of the time we have a trailer on the back that we step on.
Nice, I friggin love that truck too!
How did you connect the panels without screws I mean from the pictures I see no screws that's exactly what I want to do I have a f150 long bed except it backed the window leaving the bed open in the front so I can still use my truck as a truck a little smaller or me only four and one half maybe

Fantastic build. Thanks for sharing. Well thought out. Gives me several ideas for my build.
How has the water heater been working out in the storage box? Was thinking about doing that with mine but was worried it would deform the plastic
The box is big enough for a decent gap on top so it hasn't gotten too hot. I have seen some people mount it on the door to avoid that problem.
This is awesome! Just as good as the Rayzr...at a fraction of the price!
Very Very GOOD JOB, Brilliant !
