I don’t think I will ever get tired of stitching Prairie Schooler Christmas. The designs are classic and I don’t think they will ever go out of style. NYC at the holidays is magical. Even if it’s cold the sidewalks are full of people.
Great Floss tube. I am loving my stitching time with Santa’s Village in hopes for a finish this year. New York is worth a trip, loved the ride on the bus tours around the city. Great visit in the M&M candy store - yum. Also we got lucky and went to a performance of Jesus Christ Super Star and sat in the 5th row from the front of the stage. The most touching visit was at the location of where the twin towers have been replaced with the infinity waterfalls 😢. Enjoy your time in New York and Happy Birthday 🎉
Enjoyed catching up with you today and seeing your beautiful 🤩 stitching. Congrats on your ribbons at the state fair. I would love to visit NYC 🗽 during the holidays. I don’t think 🤔 I could pick a favorite chart I have so many I love. Have a great week and happy stitching 😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
The 911 memorial is quite an experience. It is an amazing tribute to all those that we lost on that day. I saw the Rockettes when I was a kid and still remember to this day what fun that was. I love how you planned your bee hive pillows. That’s brillliant.❤. I currently favorite stitch charts are the 12 days of Christmas tree charts by Liz Mathews. Such a unique finish.🎄
Hi, fabulous finishes! Love all your color choices! I too am a dachshund owner! I love that chart and stitched it to look like one my doxies. I’ll send you an email with the photos. IwS so excited that the Colorado cross stitcher had reintroduced the charts. My Christmas Day start this year will be birds of a feather Joyous Christmas. Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
I enjoy stitching the Mill Hill Christmas ornament and magnet kits up which I gift to family members each year. In fact it is expected and I do enjoy stitching/finishing them up. For activities in NYC you must go to the Empire State Building and Ellis Island. The Metropolitan Art Museum and St. Patrick's Cathedral are must sees, too, imo. One of my friends (SnitchStitcher) won a giveaway prize from you! Yay!!! I love the items I bought in your destash sale! The floss is beautiful and I look forward to using it soon.
Oh how fun Holly. Christmas time in New York sound so fun. I’ve been in the summer months but your list of to see sounds perfect. My mom has seen the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center and says it’s amazing. Good for you for doing the fair entries. I’m sure your selections were perfect it sounds like the judges don’t know samplers especially since they thought you missed a letter! I wouldn’t loose any sleep over it. Just stitch what makes you happy. Have a great fall. Happy stitching.
Enjoyed watching, loved your stitching. I don't have a favorite Christmas chart but I have The Artsy Housewife Christmas Chicken on my wish list, I enjoy stitching chickens.
Sounds like you have amazing things planned for New York. I know you will have a great time. Thanks for following up on the fair. I was wondering how it went. All your projects and finishes are beautiful. I love your color changes. I am currently stitching fall, but my first Christmas chart will be Hashtag Joy by Hands on Designs for the Jingle Ball class.
Would love to visit NYC. I have lately been in love with the WTNT charts. I still like Prairie Schooler. I need to be an octopus to stitch all I want. Great idea in stitching Hive Rules into little pillows. I stitched it as one piece and is still waiting to be framed. TFS.
I live in upstate NY and love NYC. A Broadway pay is my favorite. In Times Square there is a big ticket booth that has seats for the day. I believe it is easy to find! My favorite Christmas stitch is the Blackbird with the long tail… I forget the name🤦♀️Loved the video
This year I'm finally getting a start on one of my favorite Christmas patterns - Bells of Christmas by WTNT. I love Color and Cotton thread and fabrics (hoping for a spot one day in the club!) and always enjoy seeing how you curate your colors for your projects. After visiting the store in St. Louis and meeting Angela in person I am even MORE sold on C&C....what a dear she is!!!!
WOW Holly! Such great ideas! I now want to make the Christmas Quilt into different seasons! I don't have a favorite Christmas stitch, yet! They are all my favorites! ❤💚🤍💚❤ We have never been to NYC, but if I ever do go it would be the Statue of Liberty, the top of the Chrysler building (♡ Sleepless in Seattle) and the Museum of Art, but those are any day sights. Christmas would be so fun! So, FAO Schwartz, and tea at the Plaza Hotel for me.
You will love NYC at Christmas time, it is so magical! If you have time the Statue of Liberty is great to see. I love stitching Prairie Schooler yearly Santa's for one of my trees & have stitched a couple of the Christmas patterns. I have PS Nativity kitted & hope to start it before Christmas. There's so many wonderful designers it's hard to only mention 1.
One of my favorite charts was mentioned on this floss tube and it is Rudolph and Friends. I used red crystal beads for the tree and vintage red tinsel garland by Lady Dot Creates to finish the edges of the pillow.
I don’t have a favorite designer or chart but right now I’m stitching Christmas tree farm by Primrose cottage and the quilted snowman by Lori Holt. Can’t wait for you to show your recent finishes as frame finishes.
Loved seeing your finished! I’ve yet to stitch them but a few of my absolute favorites are Christmas Garden, To All a Goodnight & Peace & Plenty all by Blackbird Designs. Hoping to start one of them next year, although I don’t have To All a Goodnight chart. Maybe they will reprint it or I can borrow a copy from someone. Happy Stitching Holly! 🧵🪡
My favorite Christmas stitching is Quaker Christmas 11 and anything from With Thy Needle and Thread. You must eat some cheesecake at Junior's. It is walking distant from Time's Square and Central Park. Good food for lunch, too. I would love to try Colour and Cotton threads.
I was stitching Christmas Mini Moon while I was listening to ur you tube would love Color and Cotton floss. While in NYC browse the shops on 5t Ave the Christmas displays are awesome
AAGGHH!!! I'm so excited you are coming to All Things Autumn!! I'm signed up too! I have followed your channel since your first video and I look forward to meeting you in person! You are a delight to watch and I admire all your beautiful projects. I was supposed to attend the retreat this year in Ashville, which was obviously postponed, so I will enjoy a year of anticipation. Also....my favorite hidden gem in NYC....there is a sea glass carousel in Battery Park (kinda near the ferry if you take it). It is cheap, quick, and so spectacularly beautiful. I recommend going at night for the best impact of the lights, but it would be fun regardless of when. Google it - it's really pretty, and the ride lasts maybe 10 minutes? So easy to squeeze in. Also, pop into Pearl Soho if you need a fabric fix. :-)
I live so close to NYC and yet don’t go there as much as I’d like. Visit Central Park and take in all the park has to offer. It’s a treasure in the heart of a big city! I also love Colour & Cotton floss. Wish my stash was larger, but I enjoy tot ch ing with what I have right now.
What a great way to celebrate your big 40. New York has been on my bucket list for a long time. (Yrs). I want to do it all as you mention. I think I would add an off broadway show, the Kelly clarkson show, the serendipity hot chocolate, see manhattan, china town, have fun and stay safe. I will look for you on today show, since I watch every morning. Make a sign to take, where a happy bday headband. I like to stitch anything primitive looking.
I love any nativity chart, but just ordered and received a unicorn chart from Colorado Cross Stitcher’s remastered Oh Joyous Christmas from Birds of a Feather. I love how you took the one Christmas quilt chart from Primrose and changed it for the season or theme.
I’ve just started stitching again in May, so I don’t have a favorite Christmas chart (yet). I’m loving the Glitter House Village…but this seems like a huge investment for a short season. I do think I’ll stitch the Ana Barbara deer because it’s more ‘winter’ than holiday. Fingers crossed that I win some floss - I need to build my stash! 🤣 Girl, how did you not tell that woman off who teased you about missing a letter??? People are so ignorant. If only they’d educate themselves before running their mouths! Have you considered applying to be a judge? You’d be good at it!❤️
I an currently stitching and love cup of cheer by shannon Christine. Love her cheerful bright colours. Would love to try some colour and cotton floss. Maureen ❤⚘
I like Noel Sampler by Brenda Gervais. I finished it this year, and it is gorgeous. Have fun in NYC. You will love it at Christmas time! I hope it snows.
I love Prairie Schooler Santas and Primrose Cottage new Christmas releases. I’ve never been to New York so I’m loving reading everyone’s comments and trying to mentally take notes on all the suggestions
Loved seeing all your beautiful stitches. How disappointing that the judges at the fair might not be educated on the reproduction samplers. And I know that Miras with all their beads is very head turning compared to a more traditional sampler. Have fun in NYC....I have never been there but I have always wanted to see the tree at Rockefeller Center.
See a Broadway show, the Rockettes at Radio City, and FAO Schwartz! I can’t possibly pick a favorite chart! I can tell you my top three designers: BBD, WTN&T, and Plum Street. They are closely followed by Prairie Schooler and Carriage House/Cathy Barrick. It’s too hard cause obviously, I like all that I own!!!!
Have a great time in NYC. I live in Jersey so I guess since the city is in my backyard I don't really think it's special anymore, but the radio city spectacular is definitely a must! My favorite Christmas stitches are the Little House Needleworks monthly ornament series... I just love them. And then Plum Pudding by With Thy Needle and Thread is also one of my favorite..... Her mice are just too cute. 🐭🐭

I love what you did with the Primrose patterns! You have such a good taste for colours!
My unicorn was the Christmas angel ornaments that I now own and can’t wait to stitch

She is precious! I just love her so much!
I’m excited to stitch the new primrose cottage Christmas charts. Love your videos
I am in love with the wee Santa’s by heart in hand (I think. . .). I would love some colour and cotton thread.
WOW Holly! Such great ideas! I now want to make the Christmas Quilt into different seasons! I don't have a favorite Christmas stitch, yet! They are all my favorites!

Thank you so much!

It's so hard to pick a favorite! I would say my current favorite is Vintage Christmas by Stitching with the Housewives.

I love any Christmas chart that has a snowman in it. NYC is a great place to visit. Try to get a Broadway show in, you won't be sorry. Thank you!!

I live all things Brenda Gervais especially the Christmas charts. Just received the new one Let It Snow and plan on starting it.

One of my favorites too!
Look at the lyrics for Holly Jolly Christmas for the verse on your “Holly“ piece. Great lines!
Love that!
I am stitching a farmhouse Christmas by anabela
Have a great time in NYC. I live in Jersey so I guess since the city is in my backyard I don't really think it's special anymore, but the radio city spectacular is definitely a must! Can you show what you have on the cabinet behind you
Yes! I’ll share it on my Instagram or in the next Flosstube!
Be careful in NYC. Don’t carry a purse out in the open.
Great advice! Thank you!
