Happy 40th birthday. I hope you have a wonderful time in NY. Love all your stitching and treasures. My favorite Christmas cross stitch is it’s a wonderful life by Stacy Nash🧵✂️🪡🧵
Great Floss tube. I am loving my stitching time with Santa’s Village in hopes for a finish this year. New York is worth a trip, loved the ride on the bus tours around the city. Great visit in the M&M candy store - yum. Also we got lucky and went to a performance of Jesus Christ Super Star and sat in the 5th row from the front of the stage. The most touching visit was at the location of where the twin towers have been replaced with the infinity waterfalls 😢. Enjoy your time in New York and Happy Birthday 🎉
Enjoyed catching up with you today and seeing your beautiful 🤩 stitching. Congrats on your ribbons at the state fair. I would love to visit NYC 🗽 during the holidays. I don’t think 🤔 I could pick a favorite chart I have so many I love. Have a great week and happy stitching 😊🪡🧵🤗🤩
I love your floss tube especially when you talk about little Parker going to kindergarten. My Parker is 24 now, but it brings back many memories that are so sweet! Im stitching Let us adore him from Sweet wing studio for Christmas right now and the dark green linen is giving me fits but it is beautiful and so worth it. Looking to do a few nativity related projects to put on my nativity table and it is reminding me of the meaning of the season before the hustle and bustle ❤
My current favorite chart is Hyggge Holiday by Hands on Design. It has been many years since I have been to NYC, but I think just walking around and taking in all of sights and sounds of the city will be exciting. Thanks for sharing all of your floss conversions......always a favorite. Enjoy your day and thanks
As always, enjoyed seeing all of your stitching and hearing your plans. Safe travels to New York! My fave Christmas Chart right now is also my unicorn - And to All a Good Night.
Love your Floss Tube as always. My favorite Christmas designs are always Prairie Schooler, especially the Santa’s. I live within 35 miles if New York City and there is so much to do there. Statue Of Liberty, Saint Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, 911 Memorial, Empire State Building, there is a Christmas Market in Soho area, the Christmas Show, just to name a few. Have a great time! ❤️🤍💚 🎅🏻 🎄
The 911 memorial is quite an experience. It is an amazing tribute to all those that we lost on that day. I saw the Rockettes when I was a kid and still remember to this day what fun that was. I love how you planned your bee hive pillows. That’s brillliant.❤. I currently favorite stitch charts are the 12 days of Christmas tree charts by Liz Mathews. Such a unique finish.🎄
Love your flosstube videos! Enjoy your trip to NYC. It's definitely a bucket list item for me, too. Currently enjoying stitching Seasons Sampler Winter by Blueberry Ridge, monochromatic in Coastline by Colour & Cotton and Primrose Cottage Winter Quaker, monochromatic in Colour & Cotton Battleship.
I have always dreamed of going to New York…we went to DC when our children were younger and I loved it! I want to go again. I am a newbie stitcher. I have 2 charts. #1 is a nutcracker tray from Tiny Modernist and #2 is Cottage Garden Christmas Parade. I really enjoyed your video.
I live in upstate NY and love NYC. A Broadway pay is my favorite. In Times Square there is a big ticket booth that has seats for the day. I believe it is easy to find! My favorite Christmas stitch is the Blackbird with the long tail… I forget the name🤦♀️Loved the video
It sounds like you have an awesome list of places to see in NYC; the FAO Schwarz is an amazing wonderland -- even for grownups! The Hard Rock Cafe has some amazing memorabilia. My current favorite Christmas chart is the new With Thy Needle & Thread Christmas Swan -- I cannot wait to have this FFO-ed and put it out for the winter. I am going to leave off the candy canes and possibly change the color of the ribbon so it can just be a winter decor item instead of Christmas. Thanks for sharing all the inspiration!
WOW Holly! Such great ideas! I now want to make the Christmas Quilt into different seasons! I don't have a favorite Christmas stitch, yet! They are all my favorites! ❤💚🤍💚❤ We have never been to NYC, but if I ever do go it would be the Statue of Liberty, the top of the Chrysler building (♡ Sleepless in Seattle) and the Museum of Art, but those are any day sights. Christmas would be so fun! So, FAO Schwartz, and tea at the Plaza Hotel for me.
Enjoyed watching, loved your stitching. I don't have a favorite Christmas chart but I have The Artsy Housewife Christmas Chicken on my wish list, I enjoy stitching chickens.
This year I'm finally getting a start on one of my favorite Christmas patterns - Bells of Christmas by WTNT. I love Color and Cotton thread and fabrics (hoping for a spot one day in the club!) and always enjoy seeing how you curate your colors for your projects. After visiting the store in St. Louis and meeting Angela in person I am even MORE sold on C&C....what a dear she is!!!!
I don’t think I will ever get tired of stitching Prairie Schooler Christmas. The designs are classic and I don’t think they will ever go out of style. NYC at the holidays is magical. Even if it’s cold the sidewalks are full of people.
Going to NYC for your bday sounds wonderful! I bet it is a magical place during the holidays. My favorite Christmas/winter chart I have stitched is Falling Snow by Shannon Christine. Loved it!
I love the Christmas Carol “The Holly and the Ivy”. The quote I would use from that is “Of all the trees that are in the woods, the holly bears the crown”. Now I need to buy that chart and make it happen!
Loved seeing your finished! I’ve yet to stitch them but a few of my absolute favorites are Christmas Garden, To All a Goodnight & Peace & Plenty all by Blackbird Designs. Hoping to start one of them next year, although I don’t have To All a Goodnight chart. Maybe they will reprint it or I can borrow a copy from someone. Happy Stitching Holly! 🧵🪡
I love Winter Comes by Heartstrings Samplery. It took me a LONG time to find the right fabric to stitch it on with the called for floss but I got it started about a month ago and am loving it! I’m stitching on Color and Cotton Dove that just came out. Love color and cotton too! I haven’t used much of their floss and would love to try more.
Congratulations on your state fair ribbons. That is awesome to see you so excited about your 40th birthday. That is going to be a great trip. Great flosstube. I hope you have a wonderful day.
One of my favorite charts was mentioned on this floss tube and it is Rudolph and Friends. I used red crystal beads for the tree and vintage red tinsel garland by Lady Dot Creates to finish the edges of the pillow.
Hi Holly, Happy 40th. I hope you have a wonderful time celebrating in New York. I don’t stitch much Christmas, such a sort season, but my most favourite Christmas chart would have to be Percy Penguin by Quaint Rose Needlearts.
Sounds like you have amazing things planned for New York. I know you will have a great time. Thanks for following up on the fair. I was wondering how it went. All your projects and finishes are beautiful. I love your color changes. I am currently stitching fall, but my first Christmas chart will be Hashtag Joy by Hands on Designs for the Jingle Ball class.
I also have a Primrose Cottage Bee themed display and love all of them! I would love to go to NYC during the holidays; enjoy your trip. This year I’m hoping to stitch some of the Christmas Jingle Ball patterns I purchased in prior years or those that I get at this year’s event. Color & Cotton flosses are amazing, the shop is about 2 hours from my house.
I’d def see the 9-11 monument. Great job with the fair ribbons👏🏻. I’m still working on My Christmas List so that’s my favorite so far. I’ve never seen or used Color and Cotton flops so I’ll have to check it out at my LNS. 💖
You will love NYC at Christmas time, it is so magical! If you have time the Statue of Liberty is great to see. I love stitching Prairie Schooler yearly Santa's for one of my trees & have stitched a couple of the Christmas patterns. I have PS Nativity kitted & hope to start it before Christmas. There's so many wonderful designers it's hard to only mention 1.
❤. Great video Holly! So far, my favorite winter project is BBD Winter Wonderland. Also, I plan on starting Birds of a Feather Winter Sampler. This was my unicorn chart. I was able to find the OOP chart on Etsy for $35. Then I found out Sheri was re-charting these🤦🏽♀️. At least I didn’t pay $200 plus!! 😂. Take care!!!❤
Oh how fun Holly. Christmas time in New York sound so fun. I’ve been in the summer months but your list of to see sounds perfect. My mom has seen the Christmas tree in Rockefeller center and says it’s amazing. Good for you for doing the fair entries. I’m sure your selections were perfect it sounds like the judges don’t know samplers especially since they thought you missed a letter! I wouldn’t loose any sleep over it. Just stitch what makes you happy. Have a great fall. Happy stitching.
My favorite winter chart that I’m stitching now is Give Greatly by Silver Creek Samplers. I hope you have fun on your trip and thank you for the opportunity to win prizes.
Yay! I’m so excited that you called my name 🤩 I got to visit with April at The Stitching Bee Retreat 2 weekends ago! 💕 I pulled out Merry Notes to start soon. It sure is a small world.
Enjoyed your flosstube today as always. My favorite Christmas charts I am enjoying stitching this year is a four part design by A New Creation Studio called The Nativity Story.
So excited for your trip to New York that is on my bucket list and especially to be able to go during the holidays. I’m hoping one of these years. My daughter and I can make it a girls trip so I can’t wait to hear how yours is. I don’t really have a favorite Christmas. I think I love to stitch all Christmas charts right now. I’m working on the Wee Santa’s. I’m a slow stitcher obviously so it takes me forever to finish anything. Plus, I’m working on the waxing moon design Christmas house Trios. I was hoping to finish those in time for Christmas, but I’m not sure I’ll make it.
Hi! I just subscribed to your channel. I’m so excited for you to be going to New York!!! You must have the New York style pizza for sure!! Also for breakfast one day you have to go to a New York deli and have a bagel with lox! You seem to already know of the places to go see. Serendipity has amazing frozen hot cocoa! They’re famous for it and lastly you need to go and get a piece of “juniors” famous cheesecake. Have you ever been to New York before? Can’t wait to hear all about it!!! I’ve never used That type of floss you love!!! I think I’d us it to stitch the Christmas patterns by Primrose cottage!!! They just came out with four new o es and I can’t wait! ❤😊
AAGGHH!!! I'm so excited you are coming to All Things Autumn!! I'm signed up too! I have followed your channel since your first video and I look forward to meeting you in person! You are a delight to watch and I admire all your beautiful projects. I was supposed to attend the retreat this year in Ashville, which was obviously postponed, so I will enjoy a year of anticipation. Also....my favorite hidden gem in NYC....there is a sea glass carousel in Battery Park (kinda near the ferry if you take it). It is cheap, quick, and so spectacularly beautiful. I recommend going at night for the best impact of the lights, but it would be fun regardless of when. Google it - it's really pretty, and the ride lasts maybe 10 minutes? So easy to squeeze in. Also, pop into Pearl Soho if you need a fabric fix. :-)
I live outside NYC, you will have so much fun! My advice is bring patience, it is so crowded around Christmas. We went last year and there were people on line to skate at Rockefeller for hours! If possible my one not to miss is a Broadway show. We just saw Gatsby and it was amazing. My favorite Christmas chart is Christmas Garden by Blackbird. I am stitching it right now and just love it!
I was stitching Christmas Mini Moon while I was listening to ur you tube would love Color and Cotton floss. While in NYC browse the shops on 5t Ave the Christmas displays are awesome
My favorite Christmas stitching is Quaker Christmas 11 and anything from With Thy Needle and Thread. You must eat some cheesecake at Junior's. It is walking distant from Time's Square and Central Park. Good food for lunch, too. I would love to try Colour and Cotton threads.
I can’t imagine visiting NYC! I hope you get to do all The things and make great memories! It’s hard to pick Christmas favorite. I do enjoy prairie schooler Santas and anything by Brenda Gervais. I’ve never used color and cotton!
Hi, fabulous finishes! Love all your color choices! I too am a dachshund owner! I love that chart and stitched it to look like one my doxies. I’ll send you an email with the photos. IwS so excited that the Colorado cross stitcher had reintroduced the charts. My Christmas Day start this year will be birds of a feather Joyous Christmas. Thank you for sharing! Happy stitching!
I enjoy stitching the Mill Hill Christmas ornament and magnet kits up which I gift to family members each year. In fact it is expected and I do enjoy stitching/finishing them up. For activities in NYC you must go to the Empire State Building and Ellis Island. The Metropolitan Art Museum and St. Patrick's Cathedral are must sees, too, imo. One of my friends (SnitchStitcher) won a giveaway prize from you! Yay!!! I love the items I bought in your destash sale! The floss is beautiful and I look forward to using it soon.
Would love to go to New York and would love to see the Rockettes and see 911museum too.🙏🏻My favorite Christmas stitch is My Christmas List by Silver Creek Sampler, it was fun to do Have a great week. Happy Halloween 🧡🖤
I an currently stitching and love cup of cheer by shannon Christine. Love her cheerful bright colours. Would love to try some colour and cotton floss. Maureen ❤⚘
What a great way to celebrate your big 40. New York has been on my bucket list for a long time. (Yrs). I want to do it all as you mention. I think I would add an off broadway show, the Kelly clarkson show, the serendipity hot chocolate, see manhattan, china town, have fun and stay safe. I will look for you on today show, since I watch every morning. Make a sign to take, where a happy bday headband. I like to stitch anything primitive looking.
I live so close to NYC and yet don’t go there as much as I’d like. Visit Central Park and take in all the park has to offer. It’s a treasure in the heart of a big city! I also love Colour & Cotton floss. Wish my stash was larger, but I enjoy tot ch ing with what I have right now.
I don’t have a favorite designer or chart but right now I’m stitching Christmas tree farm by Primrose cottage and the quilted snowman by Lori Holt. Can’t wait for you to show your recent finishes as frame finishes.
I love any nativity chart, but just ordered and received a unicorn chart from Colorado Cross Stitcher’s remastered Oh Joyous Christmas from Birds of a Feather. I love how you took the one Christmas quilt chart from Primrose and changed it for the season or theme.
Prairie schooler Santa’s classic favorite. NYC yes did all the things first week of December, my girls skated Rockefeller, use the subway to maneuver is my tip.
I’ve just started stitching again in May, so I don’t have a favorite Christmas chart (yet). I’m loving the Glitter House Village…but this seems like a huge investment for a short season. I do think I’ll stitch the Ana Barbara deer because it’s more ‘winter’ than holiday. Fingers crossed that I win some floss - I need to build my stash! 🤣 Girl, how did you not tell that woman off who teased you about missing a letter??? People are so ignorant. If only they’d educate themselves before running their mouths! Have you considered applying to be a judge? You’d be good at it!❤️
I like Noel Sampler by Brenda Gervais. I finished it this year, and it is gorgeous. Have fun in NYC. You will love it at Christmas time! I hope it snows.
I’ve never been to New York and I couldn’t possibly pick my favorite Christmas chart. However, I am going to start a holy night this year. I don’t have any coloring cotton threads so it would be great to receive some
Would love to visit NYC. I have lately been in love with the WTNT charts. I still like Prairie Schooler. I need to be an octopus to stitch all I want. Great idea in stitching Hive Rules into little pillows. I stitched it as one piece and is still waiting to be framed. TFS.
My favorite Christmas chart is Nativita by Crocetta a go go. I would love to try Color and Cotton thread. I have heard so many people talk about how much they love stitching with them and would like to give them and try. You do a great job converting patters to Color and Cotton.
I love Prairie Schooler Santas and Primrose Cottage new Christmas releases. I’ve never been to New York so I’m loving reading everyone’s comments and trying to mentally take notes on all the suggestions
I'm from NY and all I can say is be prepared for the crowds in NYC. Ground Zero is a tourist attraction. If you walk around the names look for my husband's name. Thomas J. Sgroi. It makes me happy when people acknowledge him. Have a great time.
Loved seeing all your beautiful stitches. How disappointing that the judges at the fair might not be educated on the reproduction samplers. And I know that Miras with all their beads is very head turning compared to a more traditional sampler. Have fun in NYC....I have never been there but I have always wanted to see the tree at Rockefeller Center.
Hi, Holly! I have a suggestion for your Holly chart. The last line of the Christmas Carol “The Holly and the Ivy” is “The Holly Wears the Crown”. Choose a favorite Christmas chart. Ooo tough one. My favorite that I have done is Noel from Lavender and Lace (one the medieval ladies in the flowing gown with LOTS of beading!) and my favorite that I ant to do is the Yule Goddess from Tiny Modernist. Have a great week!
See a Broadway show, the Rockettes at Radio City, and FAO Schwartz! I can’t possibly pick a favorite chart! I can tell you my top three designers: BBD, WTN&T, and Plum Street. They are closely followed by Prairie Schooler and Carriage House/Cathy Barrick. It’s too hard cause obviously, I like all that I own!!!!

I love the items I bought in your destash sale! The floss is beautiful and I look forward to using it soon.
Love colour and cotton floss!! My favorite Christmas chart is the new Christmas swan by Brenda Gervais
Maureen ❤⚘
I recently finished Simple Gifts Christmas. Love it! Thanks for a great video!
It's so hard to pick a favorite! I would say my current favorite is Vintage Christmas by Stitching with the Housewives.
Thank you for your videos. My favorite Christmas design is Keep Christ in Christmas by Katidid.
Girl, how did you not tell that woman off who teased you about missing a letter??? People are so ignorant. If only they’d educate themselves before running their mouths! Have you considered applying to be a judge? You’d be good at it!❤️
I love any Christmas chart that has a snowman in it. NYC is a great place to visit. Try to get a Broadway show in, you won't be sorry. Thank you!!
TFS.
I live all things Brenda Gervais especially the Christmas charts. Just received the new one Let It Snow and plan on starting it.
Also the Saks fifth light show is amazing
My favorite Christmas chart is Nativita by Crocetta a go go. I would love to try Color and Cotton thread. I have heard so many people talk about how much they love stitching with them and would like to give them and try. You do a great job converting patters to Color and Cotton.
I think my favorite chart is “Believe” by Erin Elizabeth. Haven’t bought it yet but will be soon, plan to cross stitch it in a dark blue.
The Museum of Natural History and the Planetarium are a must visit while in NYC 🎄have a great time !
My unicorn was the Christmas angel ornaments that I now own and can’t wait to stitch
I like a lot of Stitching with the Housewives pattern. Right now I'm working on Silent Night.
Never been to NYC sounds fun. My favorite Christmas chart is Welcome to the North Pole.
Noel Sampler by With Thy Needle and Thread is still one of my favorites. Thanks for another great video Holly.
Baby it's cold outside by heart string samplery. Go to santa land ride the wooden escalated, need tickrs. He's the most wonderful santa.
My favorite Christmas chart is His Gift by The Proper Stitcher.
My favorite christmas chart that I've actually stitched is jingle bell sleigh co from cherry hill :)
I love The North Pole from Primrose Cottage.
One of my favorites too!
So many Christma favorite to pick from. I'm working on Welcome to the North Pole.
U also need to go to st Patrick’s cathedral. It so pretty. Enjoy.
I love the “the Holly sweats the Crown”. That’s perfect! I’m going to use that! Thank you so so much!
@@mrsjonesstitches so glad! Can't wait to see it!
I live in New York and would. E happy to give you some recommendations
I tried to find bent creek surround by joy. Says could t be found when I typed in the search bar on their blog
I am stitching a farmhouse Christmas by anabela
Look at the lyrics for Holly Jolly Christmas for the verse on your “Holly“ piece. Great lines!
