So, my GM falsified everything on a final written disciplinary letter this past Friday, he told me it was not so much about all that stuff(that was false), but it had more to do with my attitude. I refused to sign it. I also asked to see what documents he had to back up these claims. He said he couldn't. So again, I said I wouldn't sign it and that I would be talking with my lawyer. He just said ok. And nothing more was said. I am not gonna go on about this because there are so many things that are wrong with all of it. I do know he did not follow the company rules on write ups. He does not like me because I call him out on things and I'm not a young dimwitted female! I'm 54 and I know my way around men like him! Thanks for the video it was very informative. For the record, I don't have a lawyer, I have a niece that is one, but I could never afford her. Lol!!
In 2008 I had a dopey middle aged manager who one day out of the blue decided to send me an email saying I had to attend a one on one meeting. I had no knowledge of what the meeting was about nothing was stated in the email. I attended the meeting the manager wanted to write me up everything under the sun even on things I wasn’t involved in or had responsibility over. Even the meeting minutes rep had no idea why I was being held responsible for things I don’t do. When the manager said I did that and this I replied but everyone does that plus I was fairly new to the company so I was only going by what everyone else did. The meeting lasted like 40 mins I said my piece and let my feelings known. The rep told me in private at the end he had no idea what or why I was being written up and apologized but sadly he couldn’t influence the outcome. Looking back now I wish I just quit on the spot and walked out but no I held on for seven years until I decided it was time to go and what a great decision it was.
@timjarvis9078 sorry it happened to you as well. Sadly, nobody stepped up to back me up. It's like they're all under some spell by this guy! But i am happy to say, i did not return, I refused to go back to that toxic environment. They are all a bunch of idiots!
Ed, I've followed your channel for months since my resignation, in my mind "constructive discharge" situation. Every single employee needs to hear your advice as most of the advice is applicable in any state, not just Washington. Bottomline, this video, the one on retaliation, and 4 reasons HR is not your friend should be REQUIRED of anyone working in an "at will" state.
I have multiple employees at Fedex, including myself, that have tried reporting drug trafficking to multiple managers at our station. They simply won't allow it and intimidated me behind closed doors when I stood up to them about it. Who do you suggest that I contact?
Hi hones, My employer took 30k for job 2yrs contract bases and after 2nd day of job asking for more money but when I have denied he had fired me.Can I go for lawsuit against them?
I have a question, and wish there was a place to pay someone for a consultation. I am a union carpenter and I was fired at my job one day, and at this union job we were suppose to get two fifteen min breaks per day, and the company I worked for prided it’s self on now allowing these breaks, and I made the mistake of saying something to someone I know from my neighborhood, and that was the end for me, I was getting ready to go home one day, and they gave me my dirt check ( last payment ) All the while they have illegals working on a union site, and non-union, and I’m a combat marine corps vet, and this supposed brotherhood of a union fired me, and I’m not asking for anything special, I’m still working with 60lbs of tools on my tool belt, and the superintendent who fired me is in the union also, I don’t understand the point of a union when they can fire you at the drop of a hat, I have never been fired outside the union, just in the union.
Love how he's promoting a belligerent attitude towards companies so people can get themselves fired and hire him. I've already had this work in my favor where i got promoted because a guy was listening to videos like this and freaked out during his performance review. Videos that are designed to inject you with paranoia about things that aren't happening in reality
For all employers watching...don't document anything in writing with your employees or u will be be screwed by them later. Do everything verbally preferably in private ...If you have to absolutely put something in writing, make it as vague as possible, and assume it will be used by a scumbag employee (and lawyer) against you. If you follow this rule, you will win your lawsuits against these scumbags.!
Yeah, I just have a hard time believing that every time one of the examples is a woman that she was the victim. Bottom line women take three times as long to do any task no matter what career field it’s in. This is because they consistently have to run everything through the filter of their feelings first before they ever get to any pragmatism based On mathematics like the six sigma process. The bitch gripe and complain about equal pay for equal work, but it’s not exactly equal because it takes them three times as long to get the same work done so they should be reduced by 2/3 pay

Keep in mind though that just because your boss/company lied to you doesn’t make it illegal. It’s what that lie goes to prove on an actionable claim
But this is a great video on what to look for!
This is a great point! I should have put that disclaimer in my video.

And that's why I record EVERYTHING! However, you need to check with your individual state laws.
This is a great video. Very informative and it tells people what to look out for.
Glad it was helpful!
@@edhones I like how you make things so simple. Great job.

Employer or just some guy across the ocean whom I don't have to answer to anyway.
My exploiter lied about everything in the interview about the description

I’m not sure if you do FMLA videos but wish you would!
Former employer is CC’ing my old email address to contacts, insinuating I still work there. Is this illegal?
Do you have any connections in Canada specifically in Ontario? I would like to approach and take advice. Thanks

I am being treated differently because I am white, male, heterosexual and Christian.
