OMG...the first segment is wrong. Dry clothes coming in direct contact with concentrated detergent (sitting at the bottom of the drum) can cause discoloration. It's best to start the washer and add detergent so the water and detergent mix. Then add clothes after a few inches of water has filled the drum.
I disagree because if you start the washer with no clothes, the load sensing will be thrown off and it won't fill with as much water. Clothes in direct contact with detergent should be fine, if you get discoloration you're using a bad detergent or your clothes are not high quality with stable dyes.
I agree that Speed Queen is a quality brand. But, I would like to ask you a question. We have Speed Queen washer model TR3 which we bought in 2019. My wife loves the machine, except for the order that comes from the washer. She always leaves the top load door open when not in use and never leaves wet clothes in the washer. Have you heard customers talk about this? Do you have any thoughts on how we could treat the odor? Would really appreciate any input. If you need more details let me know. If others reading this and have any input, please pass it on. Thanks
Get some washing machine cleaner and run the machine on a large load with hot water on at least the perm press cycle. We have the TR5 and this has kept ours from ever having odor issues. Dollar Tree sells a powdered washing machine cleaner that does an amazing job. You get three washing machine cleaner packets for $1.25. I clean ours once a month. The cause of the odor is probably from sebum/body oil build up in between the wash tub and the tub underneath.
@jeromedavis8575 and look at the fins it olmost has no fina to catch the close if I can return it ima use epoxy to mold them a little biger just to see if it helps out but frome know on ima be buying used ones
@@Pakopako2280 I want "aggressive" agitation. I want my clothes to come clean. I wish Speed Queen Home would upgrade their agitation to a faster agitation at 140+ OPM of agitation with an upgraded transmission, better yet at 160 SPM at a 140 degrees arc. They need to consider a dual action agitator. I don't care about color. I want performance.
Wow, that's a thorough explanation there.
Glad it was helpful!

Speed Queen should consider adding water recirculation that runs during agitation.
@@TechnicalLee So how will the detergent dissolve with the clothes sitting on top?

I heard the Maytag is better at cleaning compared to the Speed Queen perfect wash and classic clean.
Washing your clothes in your bathtub cleans better than the perfect wash.
@@Brownie-tg3nu I'd take the classic clean any day of the week.

What about comparing the wash action to GE and Maytag?
