Amber, as we fellow Floydians have said before, I hope you really get the chance to experience their albums start to finish, it's an experience like no other. The Wall is, of course, one of my faves and the movie is etched in my brain (with the worms) forever
Everything about "The Wall" is enveloping, the story and songs just surround your ears and sink into your mind. And I can't lie Amber, you look really beautiful getting lost in that guitar solo!☺👍 Keep up the great work, guys!
Honestly one of my favorite songs from my absolute favorite album composed by humans…. Other people will tell you to, but listen to this whole album in one sitting one day. The story of the album is so well executed, this is the beginning of the second half where the main character has completed his mental wall to protect himself. He realizes the loneliness crushing in around him since he’s had to isolate himself in order to feel safe and tries to reach out, but as the song says, “..it was only a fantasy… the wall was too high, as you can see…”
This pink Floyd song is one of the greatest. Atmosphere, lyrics, guitar intro/solo, David’s voice, and Roger’s voice at the end is absolutely mind blowing. Just amazing!!!
They will continue to not know, because they don't care. They don't really read comments. "Drop down in the comments and let us know" is a scam. Fake interest. Exploiting the bands and suckering us.
I attended several Pink Floyd concerts. The one thing that always amazed me was being in a stadium full of people who were all mesmerized by the music. Sure there were applause and some cheers but it wasn't like an AC/DC concert or the current pop star concerts. People road the waves of the music and, like Amber, caught that amazing something and lost themselves in the music. I love how the last couple of times I saw them they ended with that amazing Comfortably Numb rendition with Gilmour just going off on the final solo. The crowds were near silent as the white disco ball came out and unfolded. But when it was done the roar of applause was deafening. They performed for the music and with total respect for the audience. It wasn't a show, it was an experience. The best concerts I have ever attended.
Pink Floyd were the masters of production; not only on their lyrics and musicality, but the vocal delivery is exactly what Amber mentioned. You can almost picture a movie in your mind that shows every sound and feeling. Simply brilliant!
This whole album (and the movie) was a staple for me in my teens. This is beautiful and my faves are "Comfortably Numb" and "Run Like Hell". I love seeing you guys get teleported when listening to good music - it's so satisfying, like your channels. The reason why yours are the best is that you take time to analyze and dissect different components - whether music or movies. Bravo - Darlings!
Gilmour played bass on this song and absolutely killed it. Love the sound of a fretless bass. They said Gilmour played bass on about half of all Pink Floyd's catalog. You guys should react to Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd. It is the most unique song ever written. Nothing comes close to it.
I was looking for that information. Because i know it's a fretless bass (even though i'm a drummer not a bass player but i recognize the sound of it) and i wasn't sure that Roger Waters ever played a fretless bass with PF.
Thank you, Jay and Amber. I was having a bad day and trying to shake it off. I got on your channel and started listening to Hey You for about the 100th time. Pink Floyd is my favorite band. This album came out in my senior year of high school. It was just so amazing. The movie is cool too. Of course, Comfortably Numb is my fav from The Wall. This one is a close second. Just love the vibe on it. So thanks for playing this and cheering me up :)
This album is also famous for mixing in audio from TV shows an movies. If you ever listen to the whole album, you will hear audio from Gun Smoke, Gomer Pyle and the Battle of Britain (movie).
Pure Classic Pink Floyd! You Guys both did a Great Job expressing Your thoughts! Great Reaction. Pink Floyd fans here Know they'll be hearing more later! :)
So when i was in high school, this was my go to album, specifically from this song to comfortably numb. The reason was because I had it on vinyl and the first side of the second disc was this tune to comfortably numb at least. It's amazing. Also if you listen to it in one go, all the background radio chatter matters too!!
It took us decades to get the full Floyd Effect, it will be hard to do it fast. When I bought The Wall in 1979 I listened to the whole thing like 15 times in a row. Animals was in the 8track in the car.
I love the fretless bass guitar on this song. It's what adds that erie feeling combined with the synthesizer on the high level, then of course David Gilmore on lead guitar playing those notes you didn't know you needed to hear....
Most Pink Floyd songs are delightfully crafted and this more than most. The drums, the little piano rolls and of course Gilmour's screaming guitar. Love the reaction to the lyrics. It is a song about loneliness. Together we stand and divided to fall. Perfect. Amber don't apologize, any music that provokes some deep thinking and a emotional reactions is a gift.
Listen to all their albums truly. From beginning to end. They’re all concept albums really, each telling a full story. I love every stage in the evolution of the entity, that is Pink Floyd. Through the different band member lineups, changes in sound, various content of depth and intellect over the decades. Pink Floyd- an otherworldly blip in time.
Oh man, The Wall is one of the pinnacles of music in the 20th century, amazing on so many levels. They were so very masterful at telling stories of real lives and real struggles, often times drawn from their original lead singer who went crazy. I'm so glad you seem to appreciate it and connect to these musicians. If you want a deep dive video option, check out Roger Waters's solo version of Pink Floyd's song "Dogs" performed live (its like 20 minutes long). Waters and Gilmore don't like each other much anymore, they split one album after 'The Wall' but they kept on performing Pink Floy tunes even to this day. "Dogs" by Waters is outstanding. Gilmore's solo Pink Floyd work is stunning as well.
I was a 19 year old guitar playin" kid when I first saw Pink Floyd in 1971 in a gymnasium at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland. Pink Floyd in a GYM!!! They were awesome then and became one of the most influential bands in my lifetime. My band in 1977 used to cover Hey You, Comfortably Numb, and Brick in the Wall and the crowd was never disappointed. Amber, watching you react to these tunes warms this old heart on a daily basis. You are an old, wise soul and a very special lady. Jay...I say this with all due respect. I love you both. Never stop and always stay groovy! Peace and love to my family here. God bless.
Love your reactions to Pink Floyd. The appreciation for the music, the lyrics, the clever metaphor's, the choices in tone, mood, sound effects, style of singing - it's all so very clever and every choice has a meaning behind it. Thanks for taking the time to appreciate ☺️

if u wanna watch/hear what many consider the best guitar solo of all time.. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb live at Pulse… amazing, do not pause the last 5 mins of that song.. lights r amazing also.. best concert of all time FOR SURE
Amber calls out that sound of the worms eating into his brain....very impressive! I have not heard any reactor point that out. Of course, to really understand the Wall you really need to hear in one sitting. Great reaction1
There are several songs that always get brought up before this one when talking about their best stuff but this belongs in the conversation. Such great range. It captures a bit of everything they bring to the table.
We saw Roger Waters in Toronto last July (for our 40th wedding anniversary), it was incredible! The music is as relevant today as it was when we first heard it. After a lifetime we still stop to listen to the lyrics and let the music take us on a journey. Have PF music on repeat, it’ll get deeper and more meaningful every time.
I was at that concert last summer too! Great concert, and I was so relieved that Waters didn't have an opening act. And I loved the second half after the show, when he did huge chunks of "The Wall," "Animals," and "Dark Side of the Moon."
You should watch The Wall on your movie channel that way you can experience the whole album visually as well! I've seen Pink Floyd with David Gilmour and then I've seen Roger Waters The Wall concert twice. It's AMAZING live production and he still tours!
As a child of the sixties I grew up with this music and remember alot of it as it first came out. I'm thrilled that you share this great music and the fact that it's being shared with the next generations
Please see the movie when you get a chance. It puts the songs into more context. This song along with "Mother" both mention how high the wall was, loneliness in two different contexts.

Incredible stuff. The Wall album is by far the most conceptually interesting & captivating album i’ve ever listened to. Roger Waters is a genius.
Preach
RUSH's 2112 is a cool album concept as well...
"Quadrophenia" would like a word
Dang, Asia left us during that guitar solo. Where’s you go girl!
Roger Waters turned into another woke lib. He said Pink Floyd would fail once he left the band. Didn't happen!
Amber, as we fellow Floydians have said before, I hope you really get the chance to experience their albums start to finish, it's an experience like no other. The Wall is, of course, one of my faves and the movie is etched in my brain (with the worms) forever
One of my absolute favorites by Pink Floyd! 🤗 Love it! ❤
“Time” is really good too
Hey you, don't tell me there's no hope at all. Together we stand, divided we fall, fall, fall...
We fall is repeated with delay effect.
Everything about "The Wall" is enveloping, the story and songs just surround your ears and sink into your mind. And I can't lie Amber, you look really beautiful getting lost in that guitar solo!☺👍 Keep up the great work, guys!
Cannot agree with you more ! Amber is great the way the music takes her way...
I love how they don't even realize that there are 2 singers in the song
Right on brother!
This is one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs....you should react to "Money". 😉
Honestly one of my favorite songs from my absolute favorite album composed by humans…. Other people will tell you to, but listen to this whole album in one sitting one day. The story of the album is so well executed, this is the beginning of the second half where the main character has completed his mental wall to protect himself. He realizes the loneliness crushing in around him since he’s had to isolate himself in order to feel safe and tries to reach out, but as the song says, “..it was only a fantasy… the wall was too high, as you can see…”
Absolutely love Pink Floyd. This song is so well put together.
This pink Floyd song is one of the greatest. Atmosphere, lyrics, guitar intro/solo, David’s voice, and Roger’s voice at the end is absolutely mind blowing. Just amazing!!!
Gilmour actually sang more lead than Roger
Dave sang verses one and two
They will continue to not know, because they don't care.
I first started watching this channel after watching Amber's reaction to Pink Floyd! I love the way Pink Floyd takes her to another dimension!!!!🙂
You're wasting your efforts commenting to the Robs. They don't read comments. This is a scam.
So much truth to that "Together we stand, divided we fall" That is deep on many levels.
Love, love this song! I used to listen to the whole album in my room when I was a teenager.
Yeah there was Only One PINK FLOYD 🎶 No Doubt! No one else had there unique Blend of Psychedelic venture, & Rock is Unmatched! Great Reaction Guys! 👍
So when i was in high school, this was my go to album, specifically from this song to comfortably numb. The reason was because I had it on vinyl and the first side of the second disc was this tune to comfortably numb at least. It's amazing. Also if you listen to it in one go, all the background radio chatter matters too!!
Love Comfotably Numb. Run Like Hell is bitching too
@@lizoneal2518 Hell YES! Great tune!
It took us decades to get the full Floyd Effect, it will be hard to do it fast. When I bought The Wall in 1979 I listened to the whole thing like 15 times in a row. Animals was in the 8track in the car.
Pink Floyd is top tier music for sure !!! This is David Gilmore singing this song !!!✌️🔥🎸🇺🇲💯 !!!
I love the fretless bass guitar on this song. It's what adds that erie feeling combined with the synthesizer on the high level, then of course David Gilmore on lead guitar playing those notes you didn't know you needed to hear....
Fully agreed Amber. Greatest rock band ever.
God bless.
You won't get a real good grasp of this album without the movie. Every song plays into another part of the movie.
Movie is a must see!!!!!!
@@marymays8846 agreed. I found the album way before the movie. After the movie I had a better understanding.
Irony: Hey You is not in the movie. The movie is a must-see though no matter what. Bob Geldoff is genius in the role of Pink.
@@DavidBMaas it's on the album, right? The movie helps explain the album, not the single, the album. I guess there's some kinda irony there.
@@jaydisqus3353 Of course!
Love your reactions to Pink Floyd. The appreciation for the music, the lyrics, the clever metaphor's, the choices in tone, mood, sound effects, style of singing - it's all so very clever and every choice has a meaning behind it. Thanks for taking the time to appreciate ☺️
Finally Hey You! David Gilmour is the 🐐 love it when Amber is in the Floyd zone 😍
It's fake.
The brilliance of Pink Floyd, my favorite band, never shines brighter than on THE WALL.
Roger’s bassline is soooo good. One of my favorite PF songs.
I grew up with this and IMHO the music that came out of the British Isles during this time will never be surpassed.
Amber is right, greatest band ever
As someone who has listened to Pink Floyd for years it has been an awesome journey watching from your first time listening to PF 2 years ago to you truly appreciating the band for what they are, an experience.
Thank you for allowing us to take this journey with you.
This song is the midway point and letting you know what is coming for Pink .
You guys really need to listen to the whole album. It will bring all those songs together.
Pink Floyd in my top 3 all time takes us on a journey heart body and hearing
I watch tons of music reactions. Rob and Amber are the best I’ve seen. They are so knowledgeable. Rob always seems so happy to listen. Amber is quick to pickup on deep meanings. She really gets into it. Love to watch her as she lets the music take over. Y’all are the best!
if u wanna watch/hear what many consider the best guitar solo of all time.. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb live at Pulse… amazing, do not pause the last 5 mins of that song.. lights r amazing also.. best concert of all time FOR SURE
One of my all time favorite songs from Pink Floyd
Me, too! ❤
@@wendydouglas425 Me three 👍🏽

YES and PINK FLOYD = A transcendental experience. Thanks.
He's playing soon in the state's can remember where but really soon tho
I've seen his show twice and it was amazing! Some of the best concert pics I ever took
@@meganyounger4842 Totally agree, This is Not a Drill is an amazing show. If it came back our way we would definitely go again.
I was at that concert last summer too! Great concert, and I was so relieved that Waters didn't have an opening act. And I loved the second half after the show, when he did huge chunks of "The Wall," "Animals," and "Dark Side of the Moon."
Me too :) Saw first Us+Them tour show and then flew to London for the Hyde Park show. Just fantastic. Roger really puts on a great show!
This song is hypnotic...it even included a brief "we don't need no education" riff during the guitar solo!!!
You should watch The Wall on your movie channel that way you can experience the whole album visually as well!
I've seen Pink Floyd with David Gilmour and then I've seen Roger Waters The Wall concert twice. It's AMAZING live production and he still tours!
You're wasting your efforts commenting to the Robs. They don't read comments. This is a scam.
You're wasting your efforts commenting to the Robs. They don't really read comments. It's an act. Chair wiggling for dollars.

This album was played everywhere in my late teens, early 20s and I will forever associate it with an extremely formative time in my life. Not to mention the absolutlely epic live concert in Berlin in 1990.
Jay & Amber, you'll love their "Young Lust"!!

@@BlackHatCinephile Why are you such a hateful person? Actually, I don't really care. Just go away. Did you READ this comment?
Let Pink Floyd take you on an acoustic journey of sound and emotion. Sit back and slide into a comfortable position.
If Pink Floyd doesn't move you deep down inside...you are probably dead.
I will never forget listening to the entirety of The Wall on a long car drive with my husband and 10yo. When it was done, I hear this awed voice from the back seat, "That... was like a whole story."
I was so proud of my kid at that moment. Pink Floyd is definitely one of my favorite bands.
Really the best group ever. At least for me. This album and Dark Side of the Moon, are for me perfect. I think I have mentioned that before, but it still stands. So glad you both enjoy them, and I really hope you get to every song on both albums. none are bad. I do wish you were listening to them in order, even if spread out, but you are not, so I will just appreciate that you continue to listen to them.
And animals sheep is.a.master piece and dogs
Oh hell yeah! More Pink Floyd, please 💐
I'm surprised you guys haven't done this song yet. It's arguably one of their biggest hits. 😃
