Kel-n-Rich, I personally have known the lead singer of Manowar for several decades. I saw him for the first time when he was in his late teens and early twenties. His stage name is, Eric Adams. He has two sons named Eric and Adam. They hail from Auburn, NY. A year ago I asked Eric when he was going to retire and he said they had one more tour coming up which was last spring and the band was done playing after the tour was over. Most of the members of the band have been playing for over forty-five years. They are in their late sixties now and they’re all ready to retire and enjoy their personal lives.
I was a dedicate manowar fan in my youth, saw em in ..92( I think it was) in Copenhagen, denmark. I had tickets for their last concert in Århus, but sadly I missed it...
Oh man that was the Song our drill sergeant used to wake us up during my time in the Bundeswehr ( German army) and i loved it... so much energy and a great message behind it ! Good times ... united against evil !

Manowar added a footnote in the album dedicating this song to the victims of 9/11. This song also hits you right in the feels. I noticed that Kel mentioned that she enjoys Power Metal, especially when it is melodic. You definitely need to check Beast in Black, then. Along with Iron Maiden - Killers, this song was one of the theme songs for my Platoon in basic training. Drill Sergeant was a huge Metal Fan and nothing gets you pumped for combat like this!

The throngs and multitudes in non-English speaking Eastern European countries singing all the words. Their fans are rabid, and the anthems are legendary.
