This was a really nice Battle.. all the way through to the 5th. Don't get me wrong. Txsu was nice. really nice. But my initial reaction was a slight disappointment in Txsu. But as i reviewed the battle for a 2nd and 3rd time. I saw it's not that Txsu wasn't coming hard. They were. It just hearing them compared to Southern that made them seem to be the more inferior band. Southern just wasn't letting up on them. This is the Southern we've all been looking for to return. They had a clean, powerful, Balanced and DISCIPLINED sound; which made them look and sound Very intimidating like Classic Southern. And as good a Txsu was and is. It just wasn't enough for what Southern came with.
Southern needs to Find Balance & Tone. They sound like Shit! I can Never Understand what they playing. Being Loud doesn't make You Better! Dr Isaac Greg's would Never Have This Bullshit!! Fall 1996
