Congratulations on selling more items in your booth. I had booths for years. It’s a good idea to take a picture every time you check in, but I would suggest you keep inventory in your booth . This helps keep track of your monthly sales and any missing items. Also, you can add a lot more stuff to your booth if you want by hanging more items on the pegboard, add more small furniture like an end table or shelf which you can place more items on, stack items like coolers or tackle boxes on the floor. The more stuff to look at, the more visitors to your booth.
The difference in you selling your items for a profit is “that’s your business” and you pay for your items - Goodwill don’t pay for their items and they are supposed to be not for profit! That’s the difference for the people in the back! 😂

FYI: According to Wikipedia, an egg coddler is used to cook an egg in water, (like a poached egg), but without the egg touching the water. The inside of the egg coddler is first buttered to flavor the egg and allow it to be removed more easily. A raw egg (sometimes with additional flavorings) is broken into the coddler, which is then placed in a pan of near-boiling water for 7 to 8 minutes to achieve a solid white and runny yolk. Love the videos, and honestly cannot wait for the next one! You guys really brighten my day!

Goodwill doesn’t pay anything for their items I believe they should have a set price for things price it cheap to keep inventory moving and not let it sit

Great finds as usual. Personally, I would put at least 30% more items in that booth. Small furniture pieces that you can set stuff on, hang stuff under the other brown shelf, put hooks on the edge of shelves and hang mugs or toys or baskets. Just use that retail space to it's full potential.
I would agree 100% - we sold some stuff and now it pretty empty 😕
I sold a pair of Wedgewood egg coddlers for $75. :) I had them priced at $99 and took the best bid, and I always smile when you get excited about Coleman. The Coleman factory is less than five miles from where we live, and they have a museum showing all they have ever made.
The fact that Kayla found her new Christmas dress at Goodwill made me like even more, she's a good wife. Thanks for showing the large variety of things at the Goodwills. Till the next time.
That glass hat was perfect for your booth! BTW, coddled eggs are out in boiling water, and left in until it cools down, you have a very soft yolk. I'm not sure your little toddler would work, as it would lose the heat too fast, it works in a pan though

Great finds! You've been lucky with your goodwill. Our goodwills have had "special" price racks forever. It's funny because a lot of the stuff on those racks are pilly, not in good shape, just a name brand like Nike, etc., so they price it high. I seldom look at those racks. They've even started separating out regular old t shirts at our GW. If it's anything other than cotton, like the dri-fit, etc., they price it out as a regular shirt. And if it has embroidery or certain screened prints they price it as a regular shirt. They started doing that a few months ago. I had a couple t shirts and they rang them as regular shirts. I told them they were t shirts and they proceeded to argue the fact. lol I asked what made them any different than a regular shirt and the girl says it's the way it feels, and rubs it between her fingers. She said they had just had a meeting that morning to teach them about it. So, I told her to keep her t shirts and I would just spend my money that weekend at some yard sales. I'm in Kentucky and our Goodwills and Salvation Army are doing some crazy pricing lately. I still go but, it's def a hit or miss. It all depends on who is holding the ticket gun that day. lol Some days it's like they forget they can change the price on the gun, and everything you pick up is like 3.99. lol
$3.99? Here in WI shirts start at $5.99!

Our Goodwill has a rack with clothes that has tags or better items for expensive prices. They had a 50% off sale last Friday so those items turned out to be normal prices. (For one day)

I thought I'd throw this "hack" out for cleaning things such as the cooler. I spray them with scrubbing bubbles, let them soak for a bit and scrub it up with a Mr Clean magic eraser. (I get both of the cleaning products from the dollar store)
I've used this technique on all kinds of things but my favorite uses is to clean the inside of the trash cans and the cat litter box.

First item i ever sold on eBay was an egg coddler so they hold a special place in my heart
6:55 In high school, my brother’s most prized possession was a JVC stereo he bought with money he made mowing lawns. They were very expensive for high school kids in the 80’s.
I get my son XLT, his height is in his torso, so regular shirts show the bottom of his stomach.
Under armour and Nike also do tall size! I usually pick up at Kohl's in the Big & Tall section.
I've never seen Carhartt though! I'll be keeping my eye on your store, he would love that one! 😁😁
my son is built the same and XLT are great for him. I buy his shirts from Kohls as well. Tek Gear also makes XLT. I got him several of their hoodies last year and they were a perfect length.
I always look for stuff in their packages/boxes and check them out. Find some good stuff to resell! We make wood furniture and recently did a craft street show and did pretty good with small crafty stuff. Now had a shop ask us to bring in some Christmas trees and small stuff we made and made about $175 the first day! Lol need to find a space to do this for some of my eBay stuff! Lol

I haven’t been in our only Goodwill in at least 3 months. Crappy t shirts were literally 4.99 to 5.99 and up for the “cheap” ones- stains, holes and all. Every piece of clothing is priced individually now, and it’s crazy what they’re pricing stuff at. There was nothing under 1.49 anywhere including tiny dirty plush that you couldn’t give away if you wanted to. One of our local thrift stores posted they weren’t taking any donations for at least 2 weeks. I heard they increased prices dramatically. Uhhh- duh- if you ain’t pricing it right, it ain’t gonna move. 🤔 I’m wondering how much they’ve all increased their prices since I’ve been there.
yea we will visit there less and less - we use to go almost everyday now - we might go twice a month
@darblys, See if you need a permit, then stand outside with a sign saying you are boycotting the store because of terrible goods being sold. Dirty goods are unhealthy! Ask others to join you. Do t mention prices, though getting them lowered is part of your goal. Stick to the stained dirty clothing and whatever else is poor. If they get rid of the bsdvstuff, you might see prices drop on good stuff to fill the void.
But, check with the town first, get a permit and fo!low the rules.

if you get a long shoelace and attach a safety pin on one end....you would be shocked how fast you can re-string a pair of shorts or sweatpants!
If the cord for the shorts is gone, simply attach a large safety pin to the end of a new one, push the pin into the opening and "inch" it through to the opening. Make sure that you leave long enough ends, and tie knots at the ends

Our goodwill here in south FL now sell all the clothes at one price regardless of brands now...like all baby/kids are .99cents, women's tops $5.99, women's bottoms/jeans $9.99 , etc... not sure what the men's prices are because I haven't shopped it lol
I've been finding great vintage items lately...found a beautiful wooden 1960s lamp (perfect condition) for only $10 & online they sell for over $200 & they aren't even in good shape/missing pieces and mine is perfect and even has the original lamp shade...

Good job on the egg coddler you put in pot of boiling water after you crack the egg in it. Wedgewood is fine english bone china. Known for their Jasper Ware blue with white most popular, but also comes in green, black and purple.

It frustrates me too when I find items out of their box. If I pull something out of a box to look at it I always put it back in the box-it’s not that hard. Some people are just lazy. I like how you call a shopping cart a buggy. Hairy Tornado calls it the same thing. 🙂

Great score on wrestling shoes👍 I just spent $300 on wrestling gear for my youngest Son. 12 yrs of age & he wore the same size as his coach so I was fortunate he gave him a pair of shoes. I expect to have to buy a few more pair before he is finished growing.

It really doesn’t matter. There are many goodwills in my area that the special price stub is just crazy. If enough people complain to corporate, they come back down. What most people do not understand. Goodwill is a 100% for profit company. Not a charity. They want you to round up to the dollar, then donate that to charity. The propaganda they put out to not seem like any other for profit company is insane.
Fun time searching. Sad that Goodwill is over-charging for new stuff. What a mess. Booth looks Good..
One other tidbit, grab scales when you see them ( I know next time) have Kayla spray them a pale blue or green and they'll sell bigtime in booth, stack the top with S&Ps!
If you find the drawstring is still inside but not threaded thru, use a crochet hook to fish it back thru.

Our GW’s & SA’s clothes have always been individually priced, anywhere from $3.99 & up. We rarely see big name brands, mostly Walmart. It’s frustrating for sure.

Your Goodwill there are several months behind the ones here in southeast Texas. They’ve been separating out new product for quite some time and up pricing them. I’m like you, I understand why they do it, but I do miss the older style method, It was way more beneficial for us.
And the new barcode pricing system. If you find an item that isn't priced, they can't sell it to you. I missed out on a few nice pieces because either it was missed or someone took the price tag off. But I still love some of my TX Goodwill. Gonna miss them while I am in NC.
Looks like they finally got a comp checker at your goodwill. My local goodwill is really not very good at all and because of prices i dont find as much any more.
Ive thought about putting an ad in paper that said ill haul your donations to your local center for free with some sort of stipulations of course

sell through rate is okay but I just sold a teak lazy susan for $90.00 bought for $12.00 cost $18.00 AZ to Boston to ship but the sell through was dismal but mine sold even though some were cheaper as well as more expensive,,,

The Just Don shorts are 100% fake so I would avoid listing those. It's one of the most faked items out there.
The booth is really starting to take off now and you need to keep moving things around so people think that there are new things being added and to find the right spot for things.. 👍🇦🇺🦘
