- Conner is our resident Kale lover, and we ALL love Kale chips. Hang out with me a little bit today in the garden as I harvest, clean and prepare the Kale to make Kale chips. If you are craving something crispy and salty like a chip, but want to be a little more healthier - this should be your new go-to snack!

Kale salads are really good. I chop up green apple in mine with raisens and sunflower seeds and crisp bacon. I don't use a lot of any salad dressing... but I do use a little apple cider vinegar and mayo and olive oil mixed together. It's so good. Sometimes, I'll put a hard-boiled egg cut in quarters in the salad as well. Give it a try.
Thanks for sharing this. I use chopped kale in my soups but always have leaves that are too tough. This would be a great use for those. Have a great weekend!

If you harvest the larger leaves and leave the smaller leaves to carry on, you will extend the life of each plant. Happy Easter!

I'm jealous can't even plant anything yet here in Colorado still getting snow it was 11 degrees with snow Wednesday morning so no gardening here for me just yet to cold! I really enjoy kale. We grew purple kale last year. My problem is that we always end up with tiny bugs on the underside of the leaves and it's really hard to wash them off.
I would love to make chips with it though. I have very little kitchen space so it might be hard to spread it all out. I hope we can grow some kale again this year.

Hey Steph i am so jealous of your garden. We used to live where i was able to have a garden, but we have down sized. I will now live vicariously through you! LOL! I like it every time you go out you are harvesting now. Your chickens will be ever so happy for all the scraps they can get. If you feed your chickens squash it’s a good de-wormer.
I love kale! Boiled, fried, raw, in smoothies, I just love them! You have such patience though, putting them in the pan one by one! I just dump them and pick them apart as far as I can, and remove the surplus if any. I also boil those delicious stems until soft and eat them as they are, but I don't have chickens so .... Thank you for the recipe! ❤❤❤❤❤

Kale chips are my fav! I planted 5 pods with Kale seeds in my green stalk this year. I hope they do good because a kale salad and kale chips is my favorite way to eat it. I like sautéed kale too.

As a diabetic I am always looking for a tasty treat that I can eat. I just love kale chips but they are very expensive to purchase for just a handful of chips. I’m definitely gonna make these. Kale is on my list at the grocery store . Yummmmmmm thank you

I use the round egg rack from the instant pot to cover the kale in my small air fryer. The rack keeps the kale from getting up in the burner and the chips don't clump up as much either. Works for me.
I would use a salad spinner!! I love kale ships, glad Connor likes them

I’m originally from Fl and I never heard of kale until I moved to Ohio almost 20yrs ago and have never acquired the taste for kale although I love Collards, Mustard, Turnip greens and Cabbage about every veggie I love si I’m gonna try to make a batch if kale chips snd see if I can learn tj love kale!! Hi Steph, thanks for the great info on kale chips. I bet if you made some with Cajun or ranch you could convert Dan and Jake into eating vegetables. They are missing out. I know you can make zucchini chips also. I need to start some kale plants now. My windowsills are jammed packed with all my seedlings to plant outside next month. What’s one more flat of seedlings, right? Just ordered some heirloom Lacinato kale seeds from Amazon. Going to get my grandkids to like kale. I bet Pawpaw would like ‘em too!

I love kale chips, my sis introduced me to them......but when I would try to make them most wouldn't crips up....I thought I was using too much olive oil, but, I wasn't trying them after washing....now I have to try them again!
