So sweet seeing Alora and Mom working together. That triggered precious memories of 'helping' my dear departed Mother cook and I thank you for that. I adore the sweet family dynamics. The obvious love and respect for one another is genuine. Important, strong family values are vital. Those rolling pins are gorgeous. I would have to display them, they are so artistic. Now I am craving sugar cookies!
These look good. Here is a recipe for honey icing. Maybe you could make it a little runny so it is more like a glaze or use a paint brush and fill in some of the honeycomb sections or dip half the cookie.
Combine 3/4 cup powdered sugar (sifted) with 3 tsp. milk and 3 tsp. honey. Stir with a fork until drizzly. If you’d like it thicker, add more sugar - more runny, add more milk.
Spread the icing onto your cookies and let them dry before storing.

Alora is such a sweet helper. She's always so helpful and she goes out of her way to help the younger children, She's not bossy with them but ever so nicely guiding them to where they can reach their goals, I'm so impressed with her. She shows maturity beyond her years, patience is a virtue and she has it in abundance. I know you have every reason to be proud of her, she is a lovely young lady and she's going to be a beautiful woman.

I've always admired those rolling pins and wondered how to use them properly. I like the simplicity of the round cookie cutouts. I'd like to see just a light clear glaze over them for a more dramatic look! 👍
You could make them into sandwich cookies to maintain the look of the embossing. So pretty!

Always a delight seeing Mom and Elora in the kitchen together! May I suggest using almond extract in a batch of your sugar cookies? We also make a very thin orange glaze which we brush, or in Elora’s case paint, on with a basting brush. ❤️🙏

Years ago I got the best sugar cookie recipe no eggs but a block of cream cheese. They are soft and super good. After 25 years kids still look forward to getting them.

I grandma taught me to use half the butter and add sour cream in the cookie recipes I've only tried it with the oatmeal cookies but it makes the cookies fluffy and so moist ❤

I really enjoyed this video. Reminiscing back when my Mother & I would cook or bake together. She’s been gone 10 years almost. I had a Cookie Cutter never used it but passed it on to my SIL. I’m curious what all you could do with one of them? I’m thinking it takes the Rolls of Cookie Dough but I’m sure they are a Press for Homemade Dough. Those were very beautiful. ❤️🙏🏼

Steph if you really like orange dreamsicle you need to make witches brew. 1 2 litre orange soda and 1 can of sweetened condensed milk. So good. My daughter was born on Halloween and requested this every year for her birthday party.
