It will be fine if it’s just a range gun. If it’s for self defense, I would clean after every use.

To clean the bore I wrap a cleaning patch AROUND the bore brush, stretching it so the bristles stick through the patch, best of both worlds.

Quick question. What happens if clp enters the areas u mentioned?

The CLP in combination with carbon and fouling could gunk up over time and cause the striker to move slower, resulting in light primer strikes.

How would you recommend cleaning CLP out of the areas that it shouldn't be in?

It would involve removing the striker and cleaning the striker channel. It’s not necessary unless you are having light primer strikes due to a gummed up striker.
