I carried my department issued Glock 17 until I retired. Now I carry the CZ P10-C. The CZ has a better trigger pull with a short reset. Glocks have horrible triggers.

Glock triggers are not horrible for me. However, I do polish the Glock triggers which does make them smoother. The CZ trigger safety is too thin which causes a blister on my finger.

I own the CZ P10C suppressor-ready (17+1) and the P10F (19+1). These two are some of the finest, best handguns for self-defense, carry and home protection, in addition to law enforcement and security.

Great review. I’ve owned mine for 2 years and was my first handgun purchase after watching tons of reviews on UA-cam. I also purchased several of the longer mags and converted mine to optics ready for my green dot. Also added the Dawson Precision front sight.

Good, honest review. Thank you for staying on point by pointing out both the good and the not so good. My Glock 19 is still my nightstand pistol, but after putting just over 300 rounds through the P10c last week, I'm seriously leaning towards the latter for that particular role. What an amazing pistol!!!

Added Talon grips to prevent that very aggressive grip from imprinting my palm. 100% reliable * added a front sight (mine is a 2020 edition) My bedside pal + olight... Valkyrie. Sold my Glock the usual trigger guard problem. Reliable but painful.

Just ran across this channel. Nice review, I agree all around. The texture is nice but I'd like it more grippy. I have several P10 models, the trigger always smooths out as soon as 250 rds. The safety tab likes more finger on it than some other pistols' safety tabs. It can balk if you try to run the tip of your finger just barely across the shoe.
I got a P10 C about 15 mos ago when seeking a compact. Was between PDP and P10 C, chose the CZ, shot it all last season in USPSA and liked it so much I got several other P10 models recently. The P10 F is an even more amazing shooter than the P10 C which is pretty high praise.
Also those NightFision sights really do have a nice glow in dark and twilight settings. I'm not an irons user primarily but I have no trouble with them.

I have had mine about 4 months and could not find any 15 round mags but I found 17 round mags that have a polymer spacer to take up the void of a longer mag. I bought 3 of these and it added about 3/4" to the height of the grip but still maintains an easy recoil management if not improved. This is just an easy and fun firearm to shoot.

I rarely think that polymer striker fired guns are fun to shoot. But oh boy, this thing is fun to shoot. I have owned and traded many handguns. Staccato C2, Walther Q5 match sf pro.....some high end stuff. The P10C may possibly be my favorite handgun ever....I just don't understand it.

I grew up shooting Glocks and the first gun I bought was a p10c in 2017 and I fell in love I've tried countless other handguns and I always just had to come back to my CZ P10 it just fits my hands perfect anybody considering the CZ and a Glock go with the CZ Glocks feel so unnatural in the hand like holding a brick

I know it’s been a year but I concur. This is the best weapon I have ever fired. It feels good in the hand. Lower recoil that most, better trigger than most. You can interchange mags with the P-10F if You want 19+1. Enough company history to know CZ quality. I was convinced to get the weapon when I was in the market for one. Its a great buy. Got it for under $400.00. Fires cheap ammo like a champ. I’m a fan.

Nice review!! I got one of those in the tan a few weeks ago. Also bought 5 extra mags, total of 7. It's a nice shooter too. I currently don't have a Glock 19 (only a G19x), but with this P-10c I don't feel the need for one.

The HK VP9 and VP9SK have much better triggers and I have both. I just purchased mine new and put 50 rounds through it today. The “wall” is a hard pull to create the firing sequence, but once I got the feel of it. I think I can be very accurate with it. I also have the CZ75DPCR compact and the CZSP01 Tactical full size so am a CZ fan!

That is a big statement. I have a PDP and it is amazeballs. It beats the Glock. I checked out a P-10c. It channels utilitarian no-nonsense like a Glock, but it feels better than a Glock. Points better IMO. The break is a very much better stock trigger implementation. The stock sights are waaaay better. The value is better that a Glock 19 for sure. Better than a PDP’s trigger? Not in my opinion. It is better than a VP9’s??? Maybe based on your opinion. I like the VP9’s a little better, but it is close. Love my VP9.! But I think I’d love the P-10c and want one. It is a great choice. It is a Glock killer, but I own three polymer guns that achieve that IMO and I own a G19 and am not selling it. P-10c? 👍
But no it isn’t 5 oz. heavier. The G19 is 24 oz., the P-10c is 26 oz. It is in the neighborhood of the Walther PDP. Want it.

5:07 - the trigger has lots of creep. Not just creep in terms of movement but creep that feels somebody poured some sand into the trigger mechanism. It's creeping through crumbs of sand - that's what it feels like. Once it gets to the wall, it's fine. Not as light as a 1911 but okay for a polymer gun.

I own the PDP, which is in my opinion the best compact polymer handgun I own. It is superlative on many levels. The grip texture is the best compromise between comfort and “grippiness” I’ve seen yet. The trigger has the best stock trigger break on any polymer gun I’ve felt yet. It beats the VP9 by a tad. I feel the P10c’s trigger is closer to the VP9’s which is outstanding, (I have one.) but a hair less crisp than the Walther’s. Where it beats the Walther is in its robustness. The Walther feels very well made. Very rugged, but the P10C feels very very durable. Similar to the XD’s, which very rugged to me.

New Subscriber here. I came across one of these today used for $399 and decided to do some research. I have a dim view of plastic striker fired pistols even though I carry a P365xl during the summer. It still goes doink when I fire it (and I don’t like shooting it), I have a Wilson Combat grip module with tungsten weights and the Romeo zero red dot…etcetera. I’m always on the lookout for a better carry gun. I carry a P229 Legions during the winter, and otherwise shoot metal, hammer-fired guns like Sig Legions and 1911s. So thank you for this review; I’ll go back and take a second look at the P10C, or maybe I should just plow that money into a CZ 75. Best Regards

You could try a P10s for your summer carry, out of the box I can almost guarantee at least a less snappier gun than your P365 w/ all those add-ons for a slightly cost in size.

That one has not the usually promoted low bore axis since the rails are not facing inside like the DA/SA CZs. Looking at bore-axis comparisons, they all aren't that low but it's repeated all the time how low it is as a selling point. The downside on the DA/SA offerings is usually less surface to grip on the slide and that isn't the case here. Good duty pistol. With the trigger it depends on when it came out and the production location. They ironed out some small issues. Hit the CZ forums on that one.

    • @lustejon
      @lustejon Рік тому +1

To be fair, the way the grip contours with the beaver tail on the P10s do make for a slightly lower axis. At least for me, the P10 is noticeably less snappier than my 4” PDP that has a modified recoil assembly and brass backstrap.

4:09 - slide lock doesn't work. It impedes the locking of the slide after last round fired because your hand will ride on that slide without even realizing it. Secondly, to perform a slide drop, you'll need Huddini hands. It's very tough.

Have the P10c and P10f. WWB 115-grain FMJs and Fiocchi JHPs get caught on the lans inside the barrel, causing live rounds to get stuck inside the barrel. I had to whack the slide on a table to remove the stuck rounds. Winchester Silvertip JHPs, however, cycle just fine. The trigger safeties will lock up the trigger with even a wee bit of lateral pressure, also, there is a bit of mush too. This was fixed with two strokes from a file where this safety contacts the frame. I'm keeping both guns, perhaps reaming the barrel a bit will end the stuck cartridge issue. Just be aware that you could get an ammo-sensitive one out of the box.

More than likely will be trading it for another pistol? Even if fixed by CZ won't fully trust it, it's the same for all the lemons I've had over the last 42 years.

5:54 - recoil is not manageable at all. It's a very light gun that's top heavy, thus the reciprocating heavy slide wants to snap the gun out of your hands. It's snappy plastic-fantastic. Compared to 75, it wasn't to fly!
