David James I wouldn’t suggest paper towel. I personally use cleaning cloths as your not drowning the gun in oil. Also I like tooth brush instead of wire brush.

Get yourself a bore snake, CLP and some oil. That’s a good start, you can always get more cleaning tools as you go along.
