The story of this film was originally going to be very different. Chicken Little originally going to be a girl who suffered from anxiety and paranoia, which as result, caused several panic attacks in her hometown (like thinking that a piece of the sky hit her head when it was actually just an acorn). To get rid of her anxiety and paranoia and also repair her relationship with her father, Chicken Little goes to a summer camp called "Camp Yes-You-Can", where she would meet her best friends, who would be exactly the same as in the final version (although Abby was originally a boy). During her time at the summer camp, Chicken Little would discover that the summer camp's monitor sheeps were actually wolves in disguise who planned to devour all the campers. This scrapped original storyline would be much better than the final version that we unfortunately know today, as it would be more emotional, heartwarming, touching, sad, serious, and dark, and would remain more faithful to the original folktale from which it was based. But sadly... with the intention to cash-in with the "Fractured Fairy Tale" mania popularized by the Shrek franchise, the Disney president forced the film's screenwritters to change the film's story to the terrible story we know today and resulted in the disaster that was Disney's Chicken Little (2005). The film has many aleatory pop cultural references, pop culture-oriented songs played during the wrong scenes (except "Stir It Up" played during Chicken Little's training for the baseball game), and has a very mean-spirited and unfunny slapstick humor. Chicken Little could have be a great movie if the Disney president didn't not have let his greed get the better of him.
Good video. I agree with you that Chicken Little, despite my many problems with the movie it’s not Disney’s worst movie, my least favorite Disney movie has to be The Wild (2006), that movie has a lot worse reception than Chicken Little.
