I watched this movie more than any other movie growing up. I thought this was the greatest thing in the world as a kid. As an adult, it’s not great but it’s hard not to enjoy. Also congrats on watching your first baseball game…sorta.
My family went to see this movie in theatre when I was little, and the aliens (in their robot suits) actually gave me a terrible nightmare. Once I was a little older and got over that trauma, I thought it was a funny movie, especially with all the references.
I can understand everyone’s disdain with this movie and why the majority don’t enjoy it as much as the other films from Walt Disney Animation Studios such as the humor and Pop-Culture references being similar to Shrek, the Townsefolk being mean to Chicken Little and Buck Cluck being an unsupportive father and embarrassing Chicken Little. But beyond those problems the film had, I consider this a "Guilty Pleasure" of mine and I did chuckle and laugh at some jokes and scenes in the film, along with the vocal performances of the cast (especially Joan Cusack and Zach Braff) plus Mark Dindal directed _The Emperor’s New Groove_ and _Cat’s Don’t Dance_ and set to direct the upcoming _Garfield_ movie Lastly, let’s be real, the later CG Disney animated films released after _Chicken Little_ and _Meet the Robinsons_ have come a long way to how their CG films look in terms of animation, background, character designs, frames per second, and even story (sans Ralph Breaks the Internet, Raya, and Strange World). Even Zootopia which was another Disney animated Anthropomorphic Animal film blow this film out of the water. Hope you get to react to _Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, Wreck-It Ralph, Zootopia, Treasure Planet, Atlantis, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch_ and _Strange World._
Mark Dindal also directed Cats Don't Dance. A movie that has anthropomorphic animals like Chicken Little, but does everything way better than that one. Plus, I feel like Zootopia ripped off the story.
@@osmanyousif7849Edited in _Cat’s Don’t Dance_ in my comment already. Secondly, I disagree with your comment on _Zootopia_ "ripping off" _Cat’s Don’t Dance_ when they completely different movies. Yes, both films deal with discrimination but _Zootopia_ dealt with the Predator vs Prey issue along with Judy who’s a small animal wanting to be a cop but is discriminated and _Cat’s Don’t Dance_ dealt with discrimination of Animal movie stars being relegated to supporting roles than leading roles which is reserved for Humans. So this isn’t anything new, just because some tropes are repeated doesn’t mean it’s ripoff unless it’s literally shown.
@@EChacon I will admit I had nostalgia towards the movie itself, but its also important to look at the flaws! One thing to note, Meet the Robinsons almost ended up as bad, until one guy looked at the script and was like "What is this garbage? I'm rewriting this asap"

This movie feels like it was made for both kids and adults and to me, that is the best type of movie. Can't wait for your next Reaction!
This is one of the underrated Disney movies in my opinion. I personally prefer Chicken Little over most of the classics that people hype about all the time.
I enjoyed the hell outta Chicken Little as a kid and I still remember seeing it in theaters. Though looking back on it as an adult, I do see it’s flaws. But I still throughly enjoy it, though
I never watched Chicken Little and truth be told, I just paused this video and jumped straight to the comments - Just in case I ever decide to watch it. Anyway, based on your reactions in several of your other videos (very entertaining by the way), I love that you're super focused on not just the storytelling but also the cinematography and the arts - ie. Scott Pilgrim vs the World (in my top 10 of favorites). Anyway, I think you'd enjoy (if you haven't already) "Snatch", my all time favorite film by Guy Ritchie, starring Brad Pitt and Jason Stratham. The film was released at the start of this millennium. If you ever decide to watch it, I'd love to see your reaction to it. I've only recently stumbled onto your videos but I'm already a fan. One of the trailers resembled one made for The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (2005) movie (Disney produced both films and released the same year, just seven months apart). The movie posters and the box art for the DVD borrow from the then-current Men in Black II.
Not enough people like this movie as much as I do. I'm glad to see that you are one of them. I love the dinosaur that can't reach with his big head and little arms.
I loved this movie as a kid, and I love it now. It’s not a cinematic masterpiece, that’s for sure, but it’s ok to like things that aren’t amazing. You’re not supposed to take this movie seriously at all. I think of it as Disney’s Bee Movie. I actually think it’s funny how mean everyone is bc this is not real. It’s like letting that mean little gremlin inside all of us run rampant for a little while.
This movie CRACKED ME UP when I first watched it in theaters as a kid! JUST FROM THE OPENING! and the main kids were hilarious! (Don’t get me wrong, it’s not perfect. And Buck does not start out as anything close to a decent dad. But by the end, I felt the arc with him and Chicken Little was wrapped up pretty good! Both of them admitted their feelings about each other, and when Little got his emotions out, his dad 100% validated them by admitting he struggled with relating to him, and as Abby said, they got, in my opinion, some pretty good closure! It’s not a perfectly flawless film, and even the closure can be a bit iffy, but I love this movie SO MUCH! Even as a kid, I never really took it too seriously! The main problem with this film is that it tried too hard to be like Shrek and failed miserably. By the way, this film simply shouldn't have tried to copy Shrek and shouldn't have added such a mean-spirited and harsh tone. It should have been more emotional, heartwarming, touching, sad, and dramatic, without pop culture references (at least no aleatory and forced pop culture references) and with original songs for the film instead of putting pop culture-oriented songs like R.E.M.'s "It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" during the alien invasion scene and C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" during the dodgeball scene. This is just my opinion.
This movie does a lot wrong, Everyone's such a massive jerk to Chicken Little, his own terrible father completely emotionally distances himself from him, siding with said jerks, it's humor is either really mean, or just not funny, and it's attempts at being like _Shrek,_ (parodying fairytales and using pop songs and pop culture references,) completely fall flat. But, Kirby is cute, I really feel Chicken Little's struggle, and I still have the tiniest ping of nostalgia for it. Overall, I agree with your 6/10 score. R.I.P.
