Robots back then could not walk before the 2000s let alone ones that entertain kids. All of this to say is that if that's were technically is at in 1985 -83 then what would it look like in 2035? The series isn't gonna be in 1980s forever, time moves on and that is grounded in reality. Do I like fazgoo or any of the weird stuff in the books? No not really but only certain things in the books cross over into the game.
