Although it is a common circular cutting tool, a scale tape is added so that the radius of the circle can be known.

Great design! I love how simple this is! There's so much crap out there, and all we need is this!! Bravo, and thank you for sharing your design and process. I'll be making one of these for my router very soon. I have an idea that could improve it...two measuring tapes (one each side of slot - one offset for a 1/4" bit and the other for 1/2" bit...because less math is always better! :) ) , and some score marks on the aluminum bar each side of the pivot pin that reach the edge of the tape. Love it!
The quality of this video's production is superlative! The framing, composition, lighting, and editing are extremely well done. You never blocked the view with a hand, arm, or tool as other video often do. The tool's sound was not to loud to distract. Educationally a superlative job. A voice over would be nice doing play by play so viewers could understand the reasoning for each step. Two suggestions: add a registration mark at pivot center so reading the measuring would be easier; add a know or handle to the far end of the jig to provide better control as the router moves. Super job!

I have looked online for a good jig to use for my bosch colt and most of them are too small. I need to make a 48in round circle. Using this method, I should be able to make my own and save myself a lot of time and money! Great video!

私も使い難くてマキタに替えました（苦笑
直ちに使い難く感じたのは高さ調整のボルトと相手側の堀が噛み合わず
微調整出来ない事から断念しました。

I made mine with a sliding dovetail for the pin carrier. I have added a block, fixed to the pin carrier . Which is drilled out for a threaded bar. This is joined to a wider block, which locks to the base at each side . I added two 8mm slots at ech side of the jig which allows the second block to be locked down to the body of the jig with two locking knobs. The two blocks are then joined together with a metric or imperial threaded bar. The front block has a locking nut and a self lubricating washer, allowing it to turn . The second block is joined to the threaded bar, passing the bar through. This is 85mm long, with a nob added to the end. Locking the wide block down with two knobs to the main body, but leaving the pin carrier free to move. Turning the knob of the threaded bar moves the front block, and pin, in precise adjustments. You can measure the width of cut you need, by measuring the gap between the blocks with calipers. Example: if the gap between the blocks is 50mm and you need another . 7mm (in or out) open or close the gap, with your calipers. Another way is to have two blocks, one fixed to the pin runner, the second running on the main body this way you join the bloccks with two bars, like a router fence. Make the first cut, then take a piece of inlay, for example, place between the blocks so it widens thethe gap between the pin and the cutter. You lock the back fence, place the work piece against it, which will push the pin nearer to the cutter, which draws the cutter closer. Opening the cut. Then your inlay will fit perfectly. Hope this makes sense. Take a look at the router fence one part is locked allowing the front part of the fence to move in or out. But instead of a fence you have a pin screwed to the front whrre the fence was.. in this case the mdf is the bars, the pin is the front part, and the second block is the back portion of the fence, which is locked down. Look at the Micro fence and see how that works. You will catch the drift!

ただ、mm単位で欲しい径にセットするのは
かなり難しいですね。
目安ですから、私は試し切りして少し小さくしたいとか、大きくしたいとか、微調整に利用しています。
感覚ですが、0.4mm程度の精度で狙った径にすることができます。
スケールだけではmm単位は厳しいですよね。

You can get maximum radius about 30cm if you turn that sliding center-pin part around in such cases that need > 25cm radius
I made my own, similar, using 8mm Polycarb for the base, nice and strong, so the 32mm diameter hole for the cutter has the slot feeding straight out of it, so my 'pin' can get within about 5mm of the cutter, but it really only needs to be that small if you want an oddball size of hole that you can't get a spade or Forstner bit for.
But as you suggested, I can turn the pin slider around and get a circle of 600mm or so, so there is likely no reason you couldn't make a longer arm to cut your 48" circle. Fading memory reminds me that I made a crude form of this to cut segments (For a model RR spiral) that were 72" diameter, I don't see why you couldn't go out to something like TWELVE FEET, diameter OR radius.
Always use the same size cutter, 1/4" or 6mm, so your inside and outside diameters remain consistent, depends if your scale tape is inch or mm scale, use a matching bit, outside diameter is 2x cutter size

Great solution also for smaller circles. I was looking for something for building speaker baffles. But there is still one question. What about the last bit of cut, when the inner circle has no connection anymore to the rest of the wood? I experienced that the router bit went into the remaining material if you are not careful enough. Better to stop shortly before and do rest manually? Any tips?

One question what you use as adhesive for the metal parts, and adhesive for wood with metal?. They seem to be very strong adhesive, and i can´t find good adhesive for metal with metal and metal with wood.

What board did you use, and how thick is it, please? I guess that's a 9mm thick MDF board, but have to make sure that.
If you make your pivot post pointed, you won't have to drill a hole in the piece you are working on.
