Reason no. 4 - not playing through the ball with the club head, moving the club head around with you body and not letting your hand play through the ball #blade the flob shots cuz of this, move your hands through the ball with the club head, not around you body, turning your body is a must, but make sure your hands move through the ball towards the target
Thank you Mike, great video.I have a question. How much is hip motion in backswing and downswing for chipping relevant? I am asking because sometimes I read lower body needs to be quiet in chipping. Thank you.
Mike, I enjoy your videos very informative, thank you. I have a question which may seem ridiculous to most but is a true problem to me. Can you explain why, when I open the face of my wedges I seem to run into all kinds of problems. Either, skulling, fat shot, way off line, and absolutely no idea what I am doing.....please help
@waynelattamore3000. I am no expert (which is why I'm watching this video) but opening the club exposes the leading edge; the more bounce on the wedge, the more the leading edge is exposed as you open it. In addition to the usual things (weight forward, ball in center of stance, etc), you'll also need to (1) stand closer to the ball (2) grip the club a little higher in your palm as opposed to at the base of your fingers , and (3) make sure you are approaching the ball from the inside. I find all these things help me in my chipping.
Urgently needed. Great checkpoint on #1... I never realized this crept into my stance. Life saver!!
Very nice presentation….Weight distribution is my biggest chipping fault!! TY
A great explanation of the dreaded bladed chip. Thanks!
Love the drone footage!!
Cheers mate!
Absolute gem. The spine angle tip literally fixed me.
Great tip.thanks.
Fantastic video. Thank you for making it!

Great video
I would love for u do do a vid on why I chunk chips and pitches. I tend to do this a lot when I play and practice
I'll have it up for you soon! 👍
Great video. If I don’t hit the green in regulation I’m guaranteed a double bogey due to my chipping. I’m guilty of all these faults.
Great video Mike! Keep it up.
