  • After a 5 year gap, I returned to Padstow to do the next section of the SWCP.
Day 1 was a steady 12 miler with some impressive views but not too many PUD's.
I'd left home at 5 am and arrived in Newquay to drop my car off and then hopped on the Atlantic Coaster bus, it was packed full of tourists on their way to the many pretty villages.
At 12:40 after picking up a traditional pasty from the Rick Stein deli (it was top notch), I was finally on trail, very mindful of the last time I'd been there and sprained my Achilles.
With a heavy pack and not enough training the walk was steady however I was glad to reach camp that evening.
I slept really well using my new Sea to Summit Ether Light XT insulated pad.
Filmed on a GoPro 9 Black.
    Edited on Wondershare Filmora 13.
    Music from Epidemic Sounds.

I've also worked out how to reduce the impact of the compression that UA-cam does. Thanks for watching
