S2000 F20C engine in a 1969 MK1 Ford Escort from Peru?

When a friend of Tegiwa told us he’d just imported a MK1 Ford Escort from South America, we had to get it on our channel! This iconic motor has tonnes of potential due to it having a relatively clean shell, and being a heavily sought after 3 door model too.

The S2000 engine and gearbox will fit in a Honda S800 (with some modifications) I should know, I've done it. I need to pull my finger out and get it on the (UK) roads soon. It is running on DCOE's and sounds quite sweet. I have gone down the not so obvious route so to the untrained eye it looks like all the other S800's out there. 🤔

These are still fairly "common" cars here in Finland too. Not necessarily everywhere but theyre not hard to find for under 3000 bucks in that condition. Picked up a mk1 fiesta for 20 bucks.

It’s a 2 door. 3 door cars are hatchback cars.
And it might not be rusty but it’ll be full of filler.
Will still make a nice project for someone though if they’re handy.
