it's not a crime. It's a civil dispute. He could totally sue in civil court for slander. It's only a crime if she filed a false police report (which she obviously didn't as cps or police didn't show up to talk to anyone)

A mistake is forgetting your EpiPen when you eat something you're allergic to. This is not a mistake. A false accusation that can tarnish someone or put them in jail is not a mistake
I could tell he was innocent right away.
This woman tried to put her father in an entirely different light all because he did what he was supposed to do as a parent. She committed a crime and he made sure that she was going to suffer the consequences. She learned from that day forward that crime doesn't pay, but she never thought that that lesson would come from her father. As far as her husband is concerned, it's obvious this man doesn't have a mind of his own. If this woman is able to try to do this to her father, what's to stop her from doing that to her husband?
The way it was going & the more it went on, I could tell what the results were gonna be. Their issues go back a lot further and are a lot deeper than this. The resentment, strong grudge she has…it’s obvious she did this out of spite and for revenge. But to stoop so low as to do this is sickening. The situation was chaotic in itself, but the whole family seems dysfunctional in their own way (past or present). I’m glad he passed don’t get me wrong, but damn!! And for her husband to defend her the way he did, knowing she lied about something so serious.. As foolish as I think he is, it’s a f’d up situation either way. Because while I think he needs to leave her and take their daughter… if he goes against her (which he seems afraid to do).. she could easily do the same thing to him. She has some deep rooted issues within herself & needs help. With all that being said & as hurt as he is, I feel like the father isn’t going to press charges this time. He seems like he just wants to put it behind him & to move on with his life.

Because of people like her, there will be REAL victims of the same type of crime, who will be too scared to come forward with their story, fearing they will not be believed.
Because of people like her, fathers (and other male relatives/friends of the family) will be SO fearful of being accused of similar acts that they’ll become afraid to touch their own daughters (female relatives/friends and so on).
This can even lead to the SADAND HORRIBLE reality, that they don’t even hug their loved ones anymore, or hold them when they’re crying… or even to give them a simple kiss….!!
And let’s not forget the most OBVIOUS risk…
Because of people like her, INNOCENT PEOPLE WILL BE PUNISHED AND PUT IN JAIL!!

I disagree with Steve saying he wouldn't send his daughter to jail. Sometimes the only way to get someone to change their ways is to hold them accountable even if it's family and even if it means prison. The fact that she's this nasty prove the jail time was necessary. Covering for her would have been the wrong thing.
