Hey, Alex. That is a great question! Our Siren does sound the same with our new Ring Alarm Pro Base Station. Let us know if you have any other questions.

I’m I going to be grandfathered on my ring protect plus plan and keep my cellular backup?
Hello Elliot. It's important for Ring to work the way you want, to help you keep an eye on your home and provide you with alerts for activity. Cellular backup is a feature for Ring Alarm, not a feature of Ring Protect Plus. The changes to our subscription plans will not immediately cause your service to change, or your price to increase. You will be moved to a plan called “Ring Protect Plus (1st Gen),” which is available to our existing neighbors. Your plan will not change until the first subscription renewal date on or after January 1st, 2025. Please reach out to us via Facebook or Twitter for any further questions. We're here to help.
Nope. Just until your next renewal date.
Does the Ring system, including cameras, work in a home without Internet connectivity?
Great question, neighbor. While Ring doorbells and cameras need a wireless internet connection to operate, if no internet service is available, the Alarm Pro switches to 24/7 Backup Internet* and starts using cellular data to keep the alarm system, eero wifi network, and everything using wifi including Ring cameras connected to the internet to protect your home. We're here to help with any other questions.
So this hub and 2/3 cameras rounds up to $1,000 plus $200 a year ? 😬
Nope, $200 a year
@@zondervon thanks for correction meant to put 200 what a rip off.
@@MrZACATECANO100 200 is expensive? Netflix costs more
Your ring door camera is too wide, you have to build one as small as a ring bell. Waiting for a smaller one before buying one.
Haha, what a cool looking alarm. I bet it is 100% secure and would never leak my info or livestream house. Never EVER.
So I have a 1Gb internet connection. The fastest speed I've gotten on a wireless connection (that I've done a speed test for) was around 620Mb up/670Mb down.
Will the Ring Alarm Pro slow that down? (asking because on the eero website, it says the eero 6 only goes up to 500Mb for a wireless connection)
Hi Herbie. We're happy to answer any questions you may have. The Ring Alarm Pro is capable of supporting speeds up to 900Mpbs. You can find more information here: ring.com/products/security-system-alarm-pro-8. We're here to help if you have other questions.
To only way to get a 1gb is buy a really good high end single router. You won't get that speed on any mesh setup. You can get a stable 500-700mb regardless of location with a very good mess setup. Mesh networks are designed for stability, range and very good speeds. Regardless they should have included the eero6 pro instead of the substandard eero6. Not that impressive.
Internet?
What’s the difference between the one that comes with the ring 5 piece
Great question, Alex. The Ring Alarm Pro gives you the trusted security and customizable features of Ring Alarm plus an eero Wi-Fi 6 router built in for network security and fast, reliable internet, whereas the Ring Alarm 5-Piece Security Kit does not have these new features. How much is the subscription?
Hi neighbor, great question. Still waiting on the retrofit alarm to be released in Ireland 👎
Same here in the UK / Europe they need to have parity with all the US alarm products.
@@MrGrizfromDidsbury I get excited about their new products but get unexcited when they don't get released here. What speeds does this router support??
Hi Cody, great question. The Eero wifi 6 router built into the Ring Alarm Pro can support network speeds up to 900mbps. You can find more information on the Ring Alarm Pro and its features here: support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4404638571796. Please feel free to let us know if you have any further questions. We're here to help.
@@ring Excellent. Thank you for the response. Can I use an Eero 6 router as an extender or does it have to be a satellite? I know that the documentation states to use an Eero extender but what if I want to wire devices directly into the aforementioned device?
Thanks for following up with us. While it's possible to link the Ring Alarm Pro with an Eero router, we recommend pairing it with Eero wifi extenders in order to expand the wifi range emitted from the Ring Alarm Pro Base Station. Additionally, the Ring Alarm Pro features 2 ethernet ports to provide a hard line connection. Please let us know if you have any further questions regarding this.
@@ring But the extenders only support 500mbps correct?
That is correct. The Eero 6 Extender is capable of supporting network speeds up to 500mbps. Additionally, as each home environment is different, you may need to experiment with the placement of your wifi extenders for the strongest connection. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Question can the burglar disarm the ring alarm with Alexa
If they try to disarm Ring Alarm by saying 'Disarm Ring', then they won’t be able to do so because it requires the access code in order for the alarm to be disabled.
