      I don't think the volume of the drone matters much, In fact id argue you would want it loud unless you have dogs because the idea is to use it when you aren't home to make sure no one has broken in or something of that nature, so being loud would only ever effect an intruder.

    • @jaytc3218
      @jaytc3218 Рік тому +22

      That is exactly what a certain vacuum cleaner company got caught doing. They were mapping out the square footage of people's homes and aggregating the data to determine all kinds of demographic information about the people in those areas. It's scandalous. GMC was sued because the microphones used by their OnStar system could remain on even though the customer intended them to be off. None of these companies have your best interests at heart. They want your money and they want inside your personal life.

    • @tonoornottono
      @tonoornottono Рік тому +4

      @@rsellers7090 you should be less concerned with the 1984-like implications for the individual, and more concerned with mass data.
      these companies only care about your private data insofar as they can sell it. they aren’t interested in wasting resources persecuting an individual- unless maybe they happen to overhear something you wouldn’t like a company overhearing. imagine they steal blueprints or even spoken ideas and trademark them before the originator is able to.
      but mass data is more terrifying. it allows for crowd control. in china they’ve developed technology which can identify a person not through facial recognition, but by their gait. just from the way you walk, they know who you are. from a mile away. the danger of mass data is that it allows artificial intelligence to compare and contrast the behaviors of huge populations. the very first risk to our freedom is mass data. it is only after this boot has been firmly stamped on an entire population, that they can begin tearing into your personal life.
      there are exceptions, they will pry. but by and large they are trying to make a map of “human behavior” rather than YOUR behavior. much more useful. much more terrifying.

    They need to make it so they can swarm together and use facial tracking. Imagine you have 3 or 4 mini drone positioned on their respective charging docking stations throughout your house which can all detect and launch themselves to a tripped motion/door/window sensor. You could set it so that 2 of the mini drones initially respond to the alarm, capturing the event from multiple angles, and when their batteries start getting low, the other drone(s) can automatically launch to take their place. This is the future of home security.
