@robertbeckhamalways_explor2909 I'm actually not sure. I used to have decked boats but there's about a hundred little reasons why I prefer the self bailers. I'm a full self bailing zealot now!!
How are you guys getting these already when in North America, alpacka won't even breathe a word about them?? You said it's basically a wolverine....but it looks IDENTICAL to a gnarwhal....
Essentially the release date (this coming January) would have been halfway through our season so Alpacka very graciously allowed us to start stocking and using the mage a little earlier. it's not "basically a wolverine" It's way more capable than a wolverine. Super easy to edge, more rocker, faster etc. It's a different boat completely, but it's essentially replacing the wolverine.
@packraftingqueenstown very cool!! would LOVE to try one. But will probably never have the opportunity. I really struggled with the gnarwhal I bought. At 65kg, the 200kg buoyancy CONSTANTLY wanted to flip me, even in nothing class 2 rapids. Sold it yesterday and I can't justify EVER buying an alpacka again after that experience.
@@packraftingqueenstown oh packrafting is for me alright. I feel like a Rockstar in my robfin! I bought the gnarwal as a second packraft because robfin isn't usable in shallow rivers...
👏awesome first impressions and cool to hear what you think about the new mage. I'm so stoked to get mine in a few days. Cheers. Tom
you're gunna love it
Cant wait mine to arrive! I cant wait huw ! Haha
I see you got a self bailor? Do we know if this is gonna come with any white water decking? Thanks
