I can't even imagine this, humans are not meant to be able to fly. But here you are, with the biggest balls of steels and the most courage a person can have.
Their traveling at about 120 mph. Generally they are diving their suits pretty steep at the terrain flying as fast as they can because you need speed. Speed is your friend. Don't want to stall out and then lose your glide. It has to be the most amazing thing a person can experience. Just diving that wingsuit towards the terrain hauling ass. Takes balls of steel too. Every thing in your body is telling you no but once those 2 feet leave that rock, it's on son. What a life
Wing-suit has got to be the most extreme invention in sports ever! I can remember first time I saw it. A Watts-Zap clip on Eurosport maybe 20 yeas ago. I could not believe what I was seing, at first I thought it was a big RC-plane, following the contours of an alpine slope. But when the camera zoomed in, I could see it was a madman "flying" in a suit with flaps sown in between his arms and legs. I was in total shock and awe! What had I just witnessed!?? I tried to explain it to my friends, but they said it had to be CGI, and I could not find the clip anywhere. Before Google and youtube. Now 20 years later ppl are flying like its normal. Crazy!
I remember a while back reading about a fly suit jump that ended in tragedy. You guessed it: he veered right into the stone. While I knew in this video the guy would come out all right, I was of course gritting on how perilously close he seem to each stone wall; how close he was in every moment to orchestrating his own instant death. I would imagine the technology has evolcved in 20 years, and the ability to steer must be part of that. What do you know about that?
@@kamoterorlCGI has technically been around since the 50s, depending on what you mean by “CGI”. In 1958 Alfred Hitchcock released a film called Vertigo where they used an anti-aircraft targeting computer to create visual effects for the opening sequence of the movie.
Yes, progress is a marvellous thing! I was thinking at the end also, the modern steerable parachutes are so good - when you think back to all the poor blighters who had to parachute into enemy territory in wartime with almost no control over their landing, and a good chance of breaking a limb on impact. Now it looks so easy - just pop down in a small field next to power lines and a busy road with complete confidence and land comfortably on your feet.

Breathtaking videos Johannes! I watched all of them :) Im a whitewater kayaker and I plan my route carefully down whitewater sections. Can you please upload videos of your flight preparation as it would be great to see what goes into a flight? Also videos explaining your equipment, chute packing, safety measures and your thoughts during the lead up to a flight. Your deep breathing clearly tells us your focus and adrenalin kick - that really adds to the build up before you jump! But to really take us “with you” please show us the preparation, the planning and build up so, in that moment you jump, we truly understand the magnitude and climax of your sport! Many thanks! :)
I too would find that enormously interesting to watch. I would never attempt it. But it would be really really interesting to understand the planning process.

Worked as an instructor for two years and flew a Navy P-3 Orion 4 engine sub hunter. Flew into a line of thunder storms called a squall line and got stomped so hard my emergency locator beacon got set off. But this wing suit beats everything!!😊🎉Thanks so much😁
Where Eagles Dare ! Amazing.

I lived in Gresham, OR for 12 years. Tdale is a trip, I love the Sandy R and hanging out at Glenn Otto Park right on the river. Great memories!
pull up your own pants when you're done slobbering on it.
1) Crazy just to get up there in one piece, then...
2) Fly pass those super sharp edges, just feet away and ...
3) At the end, I was just concerned about that road and the power line beside it... You're a flying phenomenon, sir.
I just drove through the Alps in Switzerland twice this past week, including a hike up to Oeshinen Lake and I absolutely am amazed by your accomplishment. I appreciate the no music, nothing extra on the video, just pure human achievement. Legend!!! Cheers 🍻

The shadow at 0:55 is pretty sick too
Thank you for allowing us to join you from the comfort of our own place. Very grateful. Beautiful flight and glad you made safely!
Unbelievable! Something I’d never do personally, so thanks for taking us along for the ride!
When you look at your shadow in the rocks you get a real impression of the dimensions and your speed. Incredible.
My hat is off to you sir. The algothrim was correct to show me this. I wish you many more safe flights!
I do too but it's not a career with great longevity...
*This flight was amazing.* It scared me silly several times. (He was below the trees! Why did he feel the need to scare me so bad? I'm not sure my heart can take more videos like this one. Doesn't he care about my health?)

Fantastic! Thank You for bringing this with no music or distracting comments!!!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I can't even imagine this, humans are not meant to be able to fly. But here you are, with the biggest balls of steels and the most courage a person can have.
He wasn't flying. He was falling. CRAZY!
I wonder how fast you’e travelling too it’s gotta be close to 80-100 mph or no ? Insane either way
Bro if he have balls of steel he will fall down Kwik because balls of steel are 10 kg heavy bro. 😂
@@DCA66 He was gliding, so halfway between falling and flying.
Yeah, 20 year old CGI. I don't think so. I was was still using dial up internet 20 years ago. Never the less this wingsuit pastime is crazy.
Watch speed flying with Alexander Mulle. Makes wingsuit flying look like an afternoon at the bowling alley.

Im suprised you can stay aloft so long while carrying such huge balls with you
I was literally going to say the same thing.
Balls of steel
Huge balls in expense of the brain 😅
Scientists still can't explain this phenomenon, how a man with such big balls can walk on the ground. not to mention to fly with them! this is abnormal!
He can use his huge balls as a counterbalance
One of the best base wing suite video I’ve seen yet. Love to see your shadow of speed track. I can only imagine the climb up was just as challenging along with your partner. ….. go Rocky the squirrel!

Safety measures 😂
I too would find that enormously interesting to watch. I would never attempt it. But it would be really really interesting to understand the planning process.
I wonder if other video resources like this already exist. Anybody? And what about videos planning kayak runs?
One of the most stunning wingsuit viideo's I have ever seen! Nerves of steel! You cam so close to the ground and the rock escarpment a few times, I would have chosen a lower point in a few places but you made it!
Uhhhh.....he did not hike down you bozo.
From the description I think they both flew down with their equipment "...flying with all our equipment ... Mario and I landed safely..."
@@hackman88 Okay, you caused me to read the description. While it is amazing!! They still had to hike 9 hours up the Mountain, only to jump off the mountain to go back home. Very impressive but the old man in me says "why?", because it's fun to see if you can do it without dying to get UA-cam views? Comedian's used to make jokes about "just flew in...boy are my arms tired." For him, that could have been no joke. My opinion is he should stop trying to fly before he's forced to a stop by a rock he miscalculated when his arms got tired.
Indeed. 😂
@@rebelrog I doubt they do it for UA-cam views. Also they slept somewhere up there. So they might have hiked for 7h on the previous day and 2 hours on that day.
