You're going to want a mod that grants lvl3 access tuner from the start to open Kuhlman's door, everything else is optional.

I think I understand now: Kuhlman tries to escape to the elevator after activating it from his console and leave Ripley behind to become Alien chow. Unfortunately the Alien happened to be standing in his way forcing him to take the long route, and the Alien caught him before he could catch the elevator. Amazing karmic storytelling from a completely unscripted event!
In deleted contents, Kuhlman have a chestbuster growing inside him.
Wasn't elevator right behind Ripley and he needed to go long way around? How that would ever had worked for him?

That's pretty bullet-prooof stury structure. I'm surprised, the Dr. was able to run during a scripted event and that the Alien kept pursuing him even outside the encounter and all of the triggers. I would have expected it to respawn somewhere or for the level to end
I believe what's happened here is by going through those doors into Khulman's area the trigger which binds the alien to go backstage for the scripted kill even must be being bypassed while conversely still allowing Khulman freedom to run around when he sees the alien.
In the vanilla game there's a trigger point somewhere inside the waiting room where we meet Khulman which when triggered on the return to him binds and forces the alien to retreat and go backstage. This is interesting to observe. If one gets chased to the room the alien wil actually turn and retreat so long as it's not in full attack mode.
An NPC spawner would be awesome for the game. Just imagine the chaos
You could lock him in 3:04 room. The alien can also be locked there, but he teleports away.

Ok so you’re going to need both an openvr_api.dll file (can be found on github) and a mothervr.json file in the same folder directory as the dxgi.dll mothervr file you're supposed to install. The json file is possibly created when you boot up AI.exe with the other 2 vr files already installed for the first time. You may get a notification before being prompted to launch AI.exe. Manually activate MotherVR in the game settings, and choose your runtime platform. After exiting, check to see if json file was created as well as a Mother.PAK file in Isolation’s DATA directory. Set Steam commands to run -steamvr for Isolation, and it should run perfectly when you boot it up via SteamVR. The same steps should work for the Epic Games version of AI.
It's not really difficult to set up with basic computer knowledge, these instructions are just long for clarity. Oculus 2 definitely works.

It’s a mod allowing higher tuner access than is typically available at this point in the game.

It's just blood covering his face, so probably the tongue punch into the skull.
But if you want to think creative, acid spit (not really canon since it's blood, though various source mediums have them spitting acid) might make their face look like a bloody skull (which his face sorta does if you don't zoom in on it).

You get weapons and buildables that let you run the alien off, but you can’t kill it and supplies/ammo are always scarce.

Is it just me or is this alien an idiot? Aliens in my playthroughs would never bail when I shoot them with the shotgun/revolver. Also the amount of times it just runs past you. Is it just mods or something? Or is this how it's just behaving in your playthrough? I know it's different each time

What is this? The whole video looks off. The color and the 3D perspective are all wrong. Is this actual gameplay, or some kind of chinema short?
And why is the Alien running from the revolver?
1. I use shaders to modify the color because I’m not a fan of the game’s washed out look.
2. Improved Graphics mod + VR greatly increase the high limit of FOV to be closer to IRL human FOV
3. A revolver + shotgun mod was applied. Not to be confused with super revolver mod, this one requires at least 3-4 shots on target to repel the Alien.
Some liberties are required when capturing a diversity of engagements. Assume that the Alien adapts to each weapon type after it has experienced them for the first time.
