I love Linkara's reaction to the "Highest animal spirit level" I think it sums up how goofy and dumb it is also heres a fun fact you know Master Guin the penguin lady she's played by the same actress as Kat from SPD Michelle Langstone
Casey is probably the ranger with the most growth potential. He went from being a low rung cub to a battle ready ranger pretty quickly. He was a quick study who was able to adapt on the fly when facing challenges. He literally was able to change his fighting style mid fight during his masters trial. His only real weakness was his inferiority complex. He didn't think he was ready to not only be a part of the team but also placed as it's leader. It was only after he confronted Jared and gained his stripes did his complex end.
Jungle fury is my favorite power ranger season. I love the rangers, the zords, the theme song is awesome, heck I even like the morphers! I'm glad Linkara enjoyed jungle fury, and he's right it is seriously underated.
I simpithize with Jared being bullied I was bullied as a kid Casey and the team were cool RJ was my favorite mentor so wise yet so chill Overall I give this season a 10/10
sydney esmeal I saw Jarrod as similar to Eric from PRTF.Both were from humble beginnings, both were treated as outsiders.Only Eric had Wes trying to get thru to him(even Jen and Trip at some points)yet apparently no one but Master Mao stood up for Jarrod. Some elite academy.Does pai zhua translate into jerks?
I agree Jungle Fury is underrated. I actually like watching it any chance I can. Though I'm not sure if I prefer Wild Force, over Jungle Fury, or the other way around.
17:47 lmao "Ummm.......nooooo.....just......noooo." XD I remember my whole family watching the whole scene and having a cringe at the last part. They really DID ruin it when they turned into furries XDDD
Ono Ramírez Yeah, it is ultimately an underrated season. I mean, sure the writing's not much, but at least it did try its' best to please some of the fans. Of course, to be fair, it's not nearly as good as its' Sentai counterpart, Juuken Sentai Gekiranger, but, it's kinda worth watching for a while. If you're like really into like martial arts and old-school Kung Fu movies like Enter the Dragon or Kung Fu Hustle.
I have to disagree with Linkara on the Jarrod and Dai Shi thing. This series always stood out to me because I thought the main villain was the most interesting out of all of Power Rangers. In fact, I liked the Jarrod, Dai Shi, and Camele thing better than any of the Ranger stuff. I always thought that it was Jarrod's influence that made him grow more protective of Camele, and I thought that was brilliantly done. Given the emphasis on "Dai Shi can't overcome Jarrod and the lion spirit," I thought it was a great way to prove that. It showed that while Dai Shi could dominate them in the short term, their spirit was too strong to succumb. It showed that, rather than Jarrod growing weaker as Dai Shi gradual dominated him, it was the other way around. Dai Shi's hold grew weaker because even as he gained power, Jarrod's spirit was ultimately unconquerable. To me, it was always one of the more subtle and well done villain stories. And I am a sucker for a redemption story. But even that aside, I regularly found myself rooting for Jarrod even over the Rangers. The quintessential example of this was the Rhino Nexus. Think about it; the Rangers forced Dai Shi to resort to calling forth other villains. Despite rigorous training, they ultimately betrayed Dai Shi, forcing him to have to flee for his life. He sought a means to regain control of the situation, hiking through a freaking jungle, climbing a damn mountain, only to find that he could not enter. He returns home, only to be captured and imprisoned. At his lowest point, Camele arrives with a godsend; the dagger. He hikes through the freaking jungle again, climbs the damn mountain again, and gets there first. Then the Rangers just fly in without any effort at all. They fight, and Dai Shi, despite taking the time to save Camele, still gets to the dagger slot first. Just when it seems that all of his effort and suffering is about to pay off, he is not "chosen." The Rangers get the rhino zord despite being the last ones there and barely exerting any effort, while Dai Shi struggled mightily and, dare I say it, heroically. It was "labor of Heracles" stuff, difficult journeys, fierce monsters, and everything, and only blind luck kept him from going home completely empty-handed. So I think the relationship with Dai Shi and Jarrod was actually the high point of the entire series.
Yep. Ironically, that's also the same reaction I had when I saw the metal hero, Jiraiya crossing over with the Ninningers in episode 34 of that sentai series.
The masters transforming into the "monster costume form" was a Gekiranger thing, that's how the master always looked there. I agree though, it was unnecessary. I love Jungle Fury, probably my 5th favorite season ( behind Zeo, In Space, RPM & Lost Galaxy ). Too bad it was also the ONLY season to get a true tribute episode of Super MegaForce, but at least it was one of the very few decent episodes.
"Spirit of the Tiger" (tribute to Jungle Fury) wasn't the only one with a true tribute. There were two more that had some badass tributes: #2: Earth Strikes Back (tribute to Power Rangers SPD) #14 In the Driver's Seat (tribute to Power Rangers RPM)
tresrules16543 My favorite was Super Megaforce", "Earth Fights Back" (Dairanger debuts in PR), "Spirit of the Tiger", "All Hail Prince Vekar" and the "Vrak is Back" 2-parter. Super Megaforce overall was terrible.
I like Whiger, since one of the few villains the dead before and help a ranger out. Also on of the sad death too, since at the end fight I really with Whiger to return to help in the finally battle as a good guy.
As much as I love HOPR....Linkara really overdid it on those Attack on Titan Abridged jokes. It was kinda funny the first couple times just because of the randomness of the lines but having it show up EVERYTIME Master Mao showed up on screen was really too much. Not being a fan of Attack on Titan and never having seen the abridged version I don't even know who the character is and why it's supposed to be as hilarious as Linkara supposedly thought it was.
Spidey View To devote as much time to a running joke like that in one review it has to be funny everytime it plays or else it just gets grating for the audience, especially those who don't know WHY it's supposed to be funny in the first place (such as not being a fan of Attack on Titan).
Between the weapons being used, the pizza parlor, and Master Mao's furry animal form, I'm impressed that Lewis didn't make a single Ninja Turtles reference.
Red Lantern Reviews Well, the first three ranger costumes are different felines species, so it's kind of already part of the gimmick for the show. At least that was essentially the idea for GekiRanger seeing as how that Cat we see Mao turn into is his Sentai counterpart, Master Shafu. And as silly as it might sound, Shafu is a talking cat who mentors the three GekiRangers. That goes for all the other animals we see in that JF scene. They're all talking animal mentors that show up later on in GekiRanger who are important characters in the show, as they are ones who teach the rangers how to use their new weapons and abilities.
honestly watching jungle fury for the very first time in 2011 i didnt like but last year i went back and watched it again and Ive grown to really like it. Casey character arc was a true underdog coming out on top story
+BlackWingedSeraph Yeah, that might be a good idea for Fran's character. But, oh well, it would've been better if she was the secondary yellow ranger of this season.
I'm so pumped for the RPM review in March. He is pretty much right in saying that its a divisive series, as there are an equal amount of haters and fans of said season. So it'll be interesting to see his stance and his take on RPM and its various intricacies.
Funny enough he said on his twitter he has written a two page script on just the all the behind the scenes production stuff that was happening during RPM and in which he said be prepare to be like "Just talk about the show already"
superanimeniac Same. RPM is widely considered to be an excellent series (if not the best) among all Power Rangers seasons. Never heard of a single person who says it's bad.
superanimeniac Likewise. I mean a lot of people say that RPM was by far one of the absolute best seasons of the Disney-era Power Rangers series. Mainly because it was the final season of that era.
Heck some go farther and say that it's the best Power Rangers season PERIOD. Personally RPM and In Space tie as the best seasons for me. At any rate, we'll be seeing the RPM vid soon enough. Just one week to go.
To anyone wondering the exact date for History of Power Rangers RPM is March 19th (March 18th if you donated to Linkara on Pateron). He also stated that for Samurai and Megaforce (which is going to include the "Super" seasons into each one respectively) if the movie progress goes well it should be up by August (Samurai) and December (Megaforce).
As you might have noticed , some parts were removed due to copyright strikes , WELL , technically they're still up but just not visible without direct links and they are blocked in some countries (Which , i have no clue , so uhhh , best of luck to ya ) ua-cam.com/video/_cEAI77pqDs/v-deo.html Jungle Fury {1}
RJ is better than the Mentor in Samurai lol. I can't wait to hear what you have to say about Mentor Gi, Linkara. As for this season, I wish Fran had become a Ranger.
Well in one of interviews Linkara said he likes Samurai except... Mentor Ji who is EVIL. He's asshole, he plays with Antonios life and he stole his morpher. But he said that before watching Megaforce so it can be possible that Gosei can be worst mentor ever.
I admit, I've never given Jungle Fury much love over the years, because I was less than impressed with the suits, Zords, the Red & Blue Rangers and the theme song. But after this HOPR entry, and compared to the recent painful Super Mega Farce, I'm starting to think PRJF was actually pretty awesome. Btw did they really play the Kungfu Fighting song during the fight scene?
Bob Shatner Yeah, that would be funny. But on a side note, yeah, you should definitely check out Jungle Fury and give it a shot. It may not be the best season of Power Rangers that you've ever seen because of the wrtiting, but it's still does have some good action sequences and for the first time, we've actually seen more original ideas for the shows, namely the morphers, and the Spirit Rangers being the secondary North American-exclusive Power Rangers since the Titanium from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.
When rj gave Daishi that confusing metaphor also got me confused as well until I finally figured out what you meant it's kind of like with Sensei Wu in Ninjago in my personal opinion l so I can't wait to hear about what he thinks about rpm because honestly I cannot make heads or tails about season Power Rangers rpm was kind of a mix of Power Rangers turbo and the terminator in my opinion
the rushed ending was probably cause of disney.. disney really seemed to hate the power rangers franchise with all it's attempts to sabotage it... making one wonder why they acquired the rights to begin with.
Yay! I love Rpm and I'm sure Link will say good things. Looking forward to his review of it. Buuuut, I won't lie. I was able to point out the flaws it had. Venjix and his villain faction, though promising on paper, felt like it was handled poorly. While the main cast had a lot of character to them, the monster-of-the-day monsters did not, and the generals were rather forgettable (except for Tenaya 7, who still took awhile for me to like). I Never did memorized the names of the two main robot minions..
I kind of agree on this one except I belive (SPOILERS if you are Linkara stop reading this post) Venjix is one of the smartest villain in this show. He always has plan B (at some point even plan C and D), he always tries to improve himself and some his quotes remind me AM from "I have no mouth and I must scream". You know: I AM Venjix, I AM immortal. He developed consciousness but it is big shame we don't have episodes dedicated to villains like we had with Rangers. I always belived his bodies represents his state. At first spirit than Angel, Abomination and finally a Dark God.
I'm just thinking he's going to review seasons of power rangers forever. Unless Dino charge is the last season I would think so since that crossover is with the first team of rangers.
I want to ask if Linkara said that it is true in that he only gonna review Power Rangers RPM, and not gonna do History of Power Rangers anymore after that? It would be a shame if that is true, as I do like hearing about his opinions about the different series as well as hearing some tidbits that I didn't know or realized that happen behind the scenes.
Nakarotto1 No, he said as early as the wild force review that he would continue the series through samurai at least, with some kind of long term plan for Megaforce as well.
I use to not like Jungly Fruy that much but after going back and re watching it was a lot better than I thought I think like Ohranger in sentei this is a series that you need to watch a few years later to get better likeing for it If I rank the Disney season it be SPD Dino Thunder RPM Jungle Fury Ninja Storm Operation Overdrive Mystic Force
spirit rangers of the ancestors Generations every time they fight their enemies remember Zordon says let the power protect you all of the legendary Rangers we need to see more Casey likes it face-to-face with Jared on the zone but he left early not to work at the pizza parlor is his destiny arrow only hope the spirit of the tire and spare ribs a Montagne lion
Any one else that over then his time force review when ever he talks about the rangers the red ranger is usally the first or last to be talked about. I somehow get the feeling that woundn't be the case for RPM
SigmaXVirus Yep, especially with those three "dopplegangers" of Shane, Tori, and Dustin who conveniently just showed up in the two-part finale. It's almost as if the producers of Ninja Storm just felt like "F@#$ it!!! Let's just press rewind and go back to the first episodes and call them the final episodes." Or something like that. Of course, my only complaint with the final battle of Jungle Fury are the inclusion of the seven Kenseis from Jyuken Sentai Gekiranger as the Pi-Zua masters' "final modes". *shivers!!!!* But, still....it was actually pretty good. That and for some reason, when I re-watched Jungle Fury some time ago....I almost felt like it was also giving out this huge Dragon Ball-ish vibe. But....done right, if you'd ask me. Unlike that god-awful abomination they called "Dragonball Evolution".
SigmaXVirus I guess. But for me?!?! It just felt a little weird, I mean...not that I'm saying that I'm against people who are into "Furries" for some reason. But, I'm just sayin' that it probably would've been better they had actual had ranger forms in the final battle or if they were turn into actual spirits in the form of their respective animals, but in the form of the make-up designs for Doggie Cruger from SPD. I'm just sayin'!!!!
I love Linkara's reaction to the "Highest animal spirit level" I think it sums up how goofy and dumb it is also heres a fun fact you know Master Guin the penguin lady she's played by the same actress as Kat from SPD Michelle Langstone
Rodimusrocks I knew she looked familiar

I agree Jungle Fury is underrated. I actually like watching it any chance I can. Though I'm not sure if I prefer Wild Force, over Jungle Fury, or the other way around.
in my opinion jungle fury is my favorite ( Dino Thunder being runner) having my favorite character and theme song Dino Thunder being 2nd for both.
17:47 lmao "Ummm.......nooooo.....just......noooo." XD
I remember my whole family watching the whole scene and having a cringe at the last part. They really DID ruin it when they turned into furries XDDD
You mean when they reached the level of the Seven Fist Sages?! What canyou do they needed smth impressive and they run out money.
BlackWingedSeraph it was the preview of the American Zyuohger
You know, that weird furry upgrade is how they always look in the Sentai.
I swear that dude looks like Anakin Skywalker
Glad Linkara liked this season, so underrarted like he said!!

I'm going to call it King Gihdora. LOL...!

The hing I loved about RJ was his complete lack of fucks. That last clip he basically admitted to always wanting the last laugh xD
Phara0hXIII
Difently better then Gosei,Mentor(Samauri) and shayla
#RJWolfRanger
Daryl Tan but not ZORDON

SilverAsh Lol. It does sound a lot like Patrick Warburton doesn't it?
Everybody's a critic

FelixRodriguez Linkara's known to do that, you really need to watch TFS' Attack on Titan Abridged to get it. Sad, but true.
Of course Casey beat Dai Shi. He's a guardian of the earth
United He Roars.
This ain't no wild force
Between the weapons being used, the pizza parlor, and Master Mao's furry animal form, I'm impressed that Lewis didn't make a single Ninja Turtles reference.
imdb88 Master Mao turned into a cat not a rodent.
Vinny792 That thing was a cat? The hell were they thinking?
Red Lantern Reviews Well, the first three ranger costumes are different felines species, so it's kind of already part of the gimmick for the show. Vinny792 0.0 I can see why they replaced those for human mentors like RJ and Swoop
Vinny792 Actually, Mao turned into a Fox. Don't believe me?
17:41 Notice the muzzle and the pointed ears. IT'S A FOX!
Jarod and Daishi talking to each other Green Goblin style.
RJ- And tomorrow, today will be yesterday.
Is it weird that I actually understood that?
If so try to understand this.
Tomorrow doesn't exist until today is fulfilled, but by that time it's already today!
I sorta get it.....you're saying that tomorrow doesn't exist until the current day is complete......but by the time it is, it's already....tomorrow??
Ira Sutton Or actually I think it makes more sense that if the current day is complete, then it's already the current day... again.
The only thing I don't get is how that is confusing. I mean, today will become yesterday the next day, pretty simple
Probably because of how random and outta the blue it was. I know I'd have to pause for a sec if I heard it.
So the big plot twist during the end battle is ....all the ninja masters are furries...truely terifying
honestly watching jungle fury for the very first time in 2011 i didnt like but last year i went back and watched it again and Ive grown to really like it. Casey character arc was a true underdog coming out on top story
The Fatboy Slim remix to that Kung Fu Fighting song was a little more upbeat, but nice choice xD
RJ was my favorite character in Jungle, Dai Shi in 2nd
I wish Fran had become one of the rangers. I could see her taking the Cyan Spirit Ranger
+BlackWingedSeraph Yeah, that might be a good idea for Fran's character. But, oh well, it would've been better if she was the secondary yellow ranger of this season.

Well Linkara is working on a AT4W movie sometime this Spring-Summer.
I was just wondering when this would come out, and lo and behold!

this season also had the coolest episode titles

True about that!
#JungleFury
In Gekiranger, the masters animal forms were permanent becauase they used a forbidden stance.
Of course Mao is a bad ass I'm pretty sure he's Mifune from the Matrix
I like to imagine that, like Rio and Mele, Jared and Camille fell in love and that they got together after the season
it is a excellent show it should come once again in tv
Epic 16:44-17:25 was awesome
12:17 that part gives me chills every time

Next up is RPM :)
Nice job
In the wild force review he said History Of Power Rangers has no set schedule but by say the RPM review is coming In March he has given it One.
Because of Parteon he must finish his job before time is up.
the one thing i wish they did, was having liger give casey a white tiger zord
And a speaking sword
And a speaking sword
Linkara did you see that short power rangers film on UA-cam
it is awesome
Everybody was Kung fu fighting
that music made verytthing gereat
super
Wasnt Camille played by the same girl that played LeeLee in Mystic Force?
Yup. Camille and LeeLee are both played by Holly Shanahan. I honestly didn't notice at first ^^;
RJ my favorite character
How come Jarod never helpped in the Legendary War?
I really enjoyed jungle fury. Operation Overdrive isnew spungbawb in comparison
cant wait for rpm this month
the rushed ending was probably cause of disney.. disney really seemed to hate the power rangers franchise with all it's attempts to sabotage it... making one wonder why they acquired the rights to begin with.
I say Saban was bankrupt at that time, that's why. Saban Entertainment fell shortly after Time Force ended.
also why did Casey failed in the test?
He wasn’t really sure about their final test
Yay! I love Rpm and I'm sure Link will say good things. Looking forward to his review of it.

At first spirit than Angel, Abomination and finally a Dark God.
is it just me or dose RJ look like pewdiepie
March is really soon...
Is linkara going to do Dino charge when that's out?
Probably.
I don't know why they didn't just make the spirit rangers the masters in ranger form instead of separate entities.
I use to not like Jungly Fruy that much but after going back and re watching it was a lot better than I thought I think like Ohranger in sentei this is a series that you need to watch a few years later to get better likeing for it If I rank the Disney season it be
SPD
Dino Thunder
RPM
Jungle Fury
Ninja Storm
Operation Overdrive
Mystic Force
i would've rathered the Celo feat Jack Black version of Kung Fu Fighting, from Kung Fu Panda
spirit rangers of the ancestors Generations every time they fight their enemies remember Zordon says let the power protect you all of the legendary Rangers we need to see more Casey likes it face-to-face with Jared on the zone but he left early not to work at the pizza parlor is his destiny arrow only hope the spirit of the tire and spare ribs a Montagne lion
gekiranger final fight was better both on the main villain and the psuedo villain. should have used the footage lol
what show/movie is he quoteing with kronks voice
Tim Donovan Attack on Titan Abridged.
Thay should have the four another master have they own rangers spirit form
Any one else that over then his time force review when ever he talks about the rangers the red ranger is usally the first or last to be talked about.
I somehow get the feeling that woundn't be the case for RPM
Probably, mostly because Red Ranger is secondary character when Dillon and K moved story forward.
I'm sorry, but I say that gekiranger was a lot better.
Definitely better , not by a whole lot tho ... but yea , better none the less .
SilverAsh Thanks for agreeing with but what did you mean by "not by a whole lot"?
To me Gekiranger is better , without a doubt buuut not really by a whole lot .It has it's problems too .
Alejandro Ramirez Why trying to be butt hurt all of a sudden?
idk
what backpacking through Europe frAn died that's causing Dominic to join the Russian mob and then come back to America and try to kill Daredevil
Mystic Force Had 8 rangers!
+Richard Smith
but one was hardly around, the other late. So take it or leave it.
I think that RJ was a Stoner
Yeah, the show was good but the megazords SUCKED.
thats right
Goliay Golhen they were an improvement over wild force zords
I never realised there are no black or clearly Latin or Native people
17:49
16:45
Well jerrid died good for him
You sound like a majestic fucking eagle lol!
i hated theo, he just seemed like a cocky dush throughout the whole series
18:29
I actaully liked most the chars in this, just not theo
Caius Ballad Agreed. He's an arrogant twit and nowhere near as smart or skilled as he thinks he is.
bull705
He reminds me of this Canadian asian kid i use to know, acted exactly like theo.. i just told myself i have a bigger dick then him xD

So I guess this is like Ninja Storm done right? Now I feel like checking it out.
And yes, the AOT joke was overdone and unfunny.
SigmaXVirus Oh believe me.....It actually does feel more like Ninja Storm, but actually done right in the finale.
Yeah, my main complaint about NS is that you're nearing the finale but it still feels like the first episodes.
I laughed the hell out at the furry masters.
