For the Yang fight, perhaps there is a script that just tallies the total damage done to all enemies and kills an enemy when certain thresholds are reached. In the first two fights, the second kick reached damage totals of 191 and 200. In the third fight, the second kick only reached 189 damage. Maybe the third enemy dies when 190 total damage is reached?
This is also my guess, I expect none of the enemies’s HP are actually tracked throughout this scripted fight and it just kills them off based on total damage thresholds
That sounds plausible the back enemy to 70 something when it was killed in the last fight. I didn't pay attention to all the values on each fight, but I know that one took way more damage than the others
I've always felt like FF6's banquet rewards are inconsistent and could never understand why. Never thought my controlling character could affect rewards, but i feel the banquet rewards being weird has been in all versions of the game. I recall being frustrated in the SNES version about it.

Wasn't this something to do with the walking speed being slightly faster than the frame rate? I think there are mods to reduce/increase to multiples of 60 pixels/second.

I ran into the antlion healing bug in a Four Job Fiesta run. It appears to be a little random, I had to retry the fight a few times and I eventually got it after it healed like 4 times in a row (and then didn’t), sometimes it just doesn’t. The Antlion’s meant to flee from the fight and sleeping it causes that part of the script to not execute at the designated HP threshold. My guess is that this version’s battle script doesn’t properly handle an end scenario other than the antlion fleeing, and it somehow resets the whole state of the enemy (including reseting HP, removing status effects, restarting battle script…). It could be some remnant of anti-cheesing attempts that weren’t fully implemented. Your guess is as good as mine there.
I think the automatic fights in FFIV are scripted. The numbers don't matter. The deaths happen in a specific order. That's probably how they did it in the original version, too.

I'm sorry, I don't know about you but I get tired of every rising creator choosing 1 of 6 different voices and 1 of 4 different speaking styles. When I throw YT on late at night I don't want every video to be fast paced or high energy. I want something just engaging enough to continue watching if my insomnia kicks in, but laid back enough that if my eyes get heavy I'll crash. I think it's easy to let our brains gaslight ourselves into believing that a person is just a natural presenter, when quite often there's some extra magic being applied under the surface... Which I can definitely appreciate as its own set of skills, especially in long form content. Take the Spiffing Brit for example. Excellent at polishing his work into something enjoyable, but honestly awkward AF and even a little draining in a live stream setting. But then you've got someone like Josh Strife who is able to exude confidence and showmanship in both mediums and at all speeds and conversational levels
While the PIXEL FF6 made a BLACK Portal Doomgaze battle that portal still appears IN a RANDOM map spot in the World of Ruin also normally the PHOENIX Cave only has a automatic warp point if you go back their AFTER Locke rejoins the party but on the Pixel remaster FF6 actually put a warp out of the Phoenix Cave warp point half way through the area on a FIRST visit. Also for some reason on ALL BUT the PIXEL FF6 the Katana/Samurai soul monster trapped chest it tends to always use its instant kill move on ITSELF if you confuse/Noise Blaster Tool it to death on its first turn on the Pixel FF6 the same enemy NEVER uses the kill itself move AT ALL so you pretty much need 4x Thunder Shield + Imp armors (Reed) cloaks to make it harmless since it mostly uses Wind Slash and Thrown WATER scrolls only until it dies.
The Pixel Remaster made the worst FF game (FFII) more tolerable to play! With speed up auto battle and cursor memory small fix like that. My gripe is the lack of inclusion of the Dawn Of Souls post game.
Number 1 will always be that the originals and the PSP ones are not in the collection, would of been perfect that way. But for some reason SE are embarrassed that them version exist.
The Remasters are a mediocre way to play these games. Random design changes, stuttery frames, music that changes the vibe, silly UI and battle screen layout, bad font and inconsistent use of pixel art. Really shoddy slapped together 'remasters' that are not an improvement over the originals.
@80sForever29 you'd rather do the peninsula of power over Boost? And ff2 trap door encounters with hit yourself buff spell tactics, with no double shield attack to improve ultima when leveling shield and unarmed fists 4 times as fast? The font was improved and original music allowed on console. Mobile didn't have those options and took forever to get Boost, but at least they let you get a discounted bundle (iOS) if you already bought 1 of the games. Steam did have mods. I heard the switch version was what had framerate problems, which is weird. I didn't notice anything on my ps5 (ff6)/iPad (no idea how years later having only ff3 and ff5, I got the rest for $13 in a discounted bundle). With ff6, setzer's fixed dice and experience egg to octuple experience for more damage was wild, though Gau easily breaks world of balance (and world of ruin if you wanna look up more rages you can't rearrange unfortunately). Ff4 lost the most, and ff3 may let you have some job flexibility though Boost isn't as needed as ff1, especially vs warmech (who should've had an enemy Sprite like ff5 stingray rather than 1-2% chance random encounters).
Actually I'd want both the PoP enemies average around 3000 BASE exp that's like 12,000 exp WITH a 4x Boost most enemies outside of that area under 1x exp give out LES EXP PER fight Save for like the FINAL dungeon enemies PER battle that is.
@veghesther3204 guess you like overkill. Money isn't an object in ff1 so its much easier let alone turn off marsh cave poison encounters, which were a pain. Also makes non optimal builds much better, like using a red mage and monk (that needs a white mage to heal for low magic resistance, and weak starter stats before unequipping at high levels skyrockets)/black mage. Just wish warmech didn't take forever by chance encounter as a superboss (ff5 stingray was just obscure mighty guard, which Boost makes unnecessary with faster dualcasts and mastery bonuses). Ff2 peninsula of power was just needed to grind teleport (farming captains), which they nerfed, but it's easier to turn off those gatekeeping encounters (I always asked for Cid to let you travel by a walkie talkie for rides and this is better) and go to mysidia early to buy holy and advanced equipment. It is a pain to level esuna, but at least much faster, like with ultima.

You should be speaking into the front (the blue logo should be facing you) and not the top of the Yeti. It will sound much better that way
really enjoyed this video as as huge fan of the older days of FF the most, and this was an interesting set of things i wasn't aware of yet. If I may as respectfully as possible, suggest/ask that you speak faster? it just felt sooooo slow that I played you at 1.25x speed it felt so much more smooth. Subscribed!
That's your prerogative. Dude doesn't need to change his speaking habits when he's already got a great speaking voice. Go decompress if you feel like others need to change so that YOU can be comfortable
@@travisleabeck2572 he does have a great speaking voice, i didn't attack his voice at all. It was all of the pausing/pacing. I also tried to write it as respectful as possible as I was not at all trying to be rude or attacking. Just genuinely trying to suggest it. It was intended to be a positive constructive "criticism", though not meant to be ugly in anyway. I loved his video, and subscribed and still stand by my words, though with the repeated notice that I am not coming from any purposeful place of disrespect. Sorry my words offended YOU so much though. Have a good day.
@@Qabick it was a poor choice of quickly typed words on my part. I apologize. What I failed to express is that I have a distaste for this idea that everything YT(and much else on the Internet/life in general), a medium for shared experiences, needs to have this fabricated immediacy to it. Asking a small creator you like to change their talking speed might make them self conscious to the point where they feel like they have to start emulating other creators.
@@travisleabeck2572 I respect that, and I also worded my initial comment poorly I am sure as well, as it was likewise quickly typed. lol. So all love to him and you, no hate here. I agree I don't like the OVER amped top speed super fast speakers neither, so I wasn't implying to jump to those types you and I are both referencing, but I just felt it crawling a bit personally. Purely my own experience though and maybe I am alone in it. Also I am but one perspective on it, and so maybe some would rather him even slow down lol idk. I only gave my personal take, as I dont normally speed people up, and maybe there is something to be said I am possibly ear trained a faster youtube pace, then hit his and it felt slow in contrast lol. Anywho, you are right about how my comment could make them to feel self conscious of which I wasn't trying to do neither but it was only coming from a place of interest and excited to watch more of his content, and will be interested to watch him over time and see where he goes.
@@Qabick oh no ur fine. I'm definitely the one who came off a bit antagonistic at first. I blame YT for deleting any comments where I'm being genuinely kind of promoting love and rational debate, while boosting actual hate speech from others. Wish I could say I'm fully joking there, but it's barely even a half joke lol. This platform shouldn't make me feel like I have to tow the line of being intentionally provocative and a jerk, just for my thoughts to remain in the physical, but it does.
I feel that he speaks at a nice medium slow pace, but if it was a longer video and I was having one of those days where I wanted to absorb as much info as possible on different subjects, then I might speed him up too. 2 things...perhaps it was just the mood you were in that day or, just as likely, a lot of the content you had been watching were cutting a lot of dead air out of there sentences.
Lol, YT recommended this and I added it to my watch later without even realizing the video was by someone I have played vs in FFTCG before
LOL. No way. Thats amazing
You’re so freaking handsome!!!
It’s called a bug. 🙄
100%. I'll swear by that these are the best ways for people to enjoy the first 6 final fantasy games. Especially 1-3
Not really IMHO the Pixel FF2 IMHO is still pure crap.
I enjoy the ps1 version and only the ps1 of ff2
@@veghesther3204 Wrong
Number 1 will always be that the originals and the PSP ones are not in the collection, would of been perfect that way. But for some reason SE are embarrassed that them version exist.
The Remasters are a mediocre way to play these games. Random design changes, stuttery frames, music that changes the vibe, silly UI and battle screen layout, bad font and inconsistent use of pixel art. Really shoddy slapped together 'remasters' that are not an improvement over the originals.
That’s the hottest take of all time bro, lmao
Not to mention the additional content from the GBA versions that were not included.
Top 5 Unexplainable...
...reasons as to why you're so handsome and need to be stopped! :D
I don't like the pixel remasters
I bought the physical copy only for FF6 but it's iffy, the screen tearing only is a big turn off.
How hard was it to call her Terra and not TEENUH? lol
I'm fairly positive this is a joke, considering Zic3 hearted it, but as I'm sure you already know, Terra is Her english name, and Tina is Her japanese name, however both are canonically correct. so I'm not sure I understand the question?
@@whitemageserenia I think I'mma start calling her Tirra, just so I can piss off both ends of the spectrum.
@@whitemageserenia you don’t understand the question because it is a joke between zic and I and both of our streams. I clearly know both versions of her name.
The 3 goblins share one health bar?
For FF4 they do.
