I can remember trying to farm these things on the DS version. What a massive pain in the ass! Drop rates were terrible. The Treasure Hunter Augment did nothing. Oh it boosts the drop rate from 0.8 to 0.4? Big fucking load of help that is!!! I had to get an Action Replay and hack forced item drops to get anything in that game.
Not just that the blimming summons to get, Mind Flare Goblin Cocatrice and Bomb. All of them are torcher enough to get. Then we got these pink little bastard's to deal with after. 😮💨
You didn't even need it, though. Why cheat just for completionism if it's not actually complete? To each their own, I guess, but if I were you, I'd have just let it go and kept playing the game.

i wanted to ask, your cecil has the ragnarok sword equipped. is that the best sword in game? I remember going to fight the final boss on the moon and got to the stairs that lead strsight up to encounter i hit right halfway up and got a secret room which gave me i think crystal sword. seen not many mentions of this.. clarification? is there a secret room on the final level leading to the boss?
@@robertknudsvig8832 The final swords are very interesting. There are at least 2 in the final dungeon in hidden rooms, but they aren't necessarily better than their previous versions. Be sure to check the stats and choose the sword you think is best.
Just got through the pixel remaster last week, and it didn't take long for me to realize that "siren" wasn't a new summon for Rydia to learn, but instead would always make me fight the most powerful enemies in a dungeon. They definitely upped the rate I feel. I managed to get all 5 adamant armors in roughly 60 sirens. Even had 2 drop at the same time in 2 different battles. Compared to the DS release where i spent double the sirens and haven't gotten one
You don’t need armor that good if you are max level. The hardcore method is to quick save and reset whenever the tail doesn’t drop. Then you can equip it while still under leveled
Spoon fed in pixel remaster. You have to grind sirens in any other version. If you want to do this on other version you can get sirens as drops from Aracnids in the Summoners cave. Also in original Snes version Admament armor is bugged and if you unequip it you have 0 magic defense permanently...
This isn't the only armor like this, is it? I see there's a Zeus Gauntlet which has the defenses of the Crystal Gauntlet but boosts strength and vitality by 10. That may be amazing for Edge especially, but also Kain. Then there's the Glass Mask, which I thought was amazing, but looking at it, it only boosts your defense and it lowers your evasion to do so.

Not exactly the Lazy shell mostly has you take zero or 1 damage against nearly everything even with 5x Adamant armors Big Bang can still do like 1500 damage to the entire party that I'll still have Rosa use Cure 4 EVERY turn on the entire party if I actually had 5 pink tails dropped in the first place.
Did pixel remaster remove the damage penalty for having bow and arrow in the wrong hands? In older versions the bow is supposed to go in the weak hand and the arrows in dominant. Rosa being right-handed means she had to set arrows right and bow left.
So strange. I think this was removed. I tried the bow in both hands and had the same overall attack. So strange. All bow users are super ambidextrous! LOL
This guys party is Jacked. I just did the Pink Flan farming about 1 month before this post playing the Pixel Remaster. Each battle with the Pink Flan took at least 5 min... or longer. And I lost many battles. I could have turned up the XP to 4x, but that's not me. Trust me people. If you can blow through the Pink Flan like this guy, your already overpowered and don't need the armor.

I didn't know that you could turn in multiple tails, I thought you'd just have them in your key items screen. This could have made the Zeromus fight a lot less painful.
There are a few ribbons in chests in the game, but to get them to drop, you have to fight the dark sage in the cave of Bahamut. You can also do the Bog Witch in the Sylvan Cave. Very low drop rate though!
Steal them from Security Eye's on B7 of the tower of babel or the searchers in the giant of babel. You can also find these enemies in the Lunar Ruins after finishing the game and steal them there.
Annoyed that you double down on pronouncing it "ad-mant" even though the spelling is right there in front of you. Then go on to name the video wrong. SMH.
There's a few mispronunciations. I could forgive bustier as BUST-ee-err if you don't know a lot of people who wear them, but Bahamut being pronounced Bah-HAYM-it almost feels sacrilegious.

Halfway through the video I was like... wait that's now how it's spelled. You had me going x)
LOL The SNES Adamant Armor makes it so that ANY damage you take is just 1HP. And that game doesn't have any convenient things like Siren so you are stuck to RNG & the lowest drop rate for an item in the entire game.

I had to fight about fifty or so PinkPuff groups to get it, no alarms. It took about 200 hours to get one

In my opinion, it is. I prioritize attack over effects and other stats though.

The Adamant Armor is the Lazy Shell of this game, once you get it the game becomes so easy.

Farming onion gear in 3 or adamant in 4, I just decided that the levels gained trying to get it, cancel out actually needing it.
Absolutely! Funny how that happens. It is really tricky for games to have equipment balance with levels late game.

Yeah they removed that, presumably because of how unintuitive it is. Now you can equip the bow in either hand

My son was able to do Zeromus pretty well with this build and grinding! I was so proud of how well he did!

The SNES version doesn't have sirens for purchase. That makes this SUPER SUPER hard to do.

fixed, but I don't think it suffers for it. It is a more story based game, rather than a sandbox.
Even when hitting lv 99 FROM LV 50 (and via 4x exp) I could still possiblyh NOT get a SINGLE ONE.
