- Over the last week or so talk of Lancia returning to the World Rally Championship has increased, something that's been fuelled by the company's CEO.
But could Lancia competing in the WRC become a reality once again? That's what we explore in this video.

i JUST made a comment on someones short about how lancia need to crawl out from under their rock and get back to rallying. the FIA need to sit down with all the manufacturers and see how we can get them back
They should do what WEC do

But either with BoP or not idk what's better
Pretty sure Subaru, Citroen, Peugeot,Skoda,MINI,lancia all factory who leave Will return except Volkswagen
Plus new factory Will join
Let's say Audi, Renault, Mitsubishi,Seat,Kia,volvo and all factory from rallycross all egible
Who knows bmw 1 series or Mercedes A class or any hatchback or hot hatchback
If this happens im buying merch, Lancia dying a slow death being forgotten and only making cheesy kitsch fiat facelifts is a stain on my soul.
One mistake or correction though. The new Lancia Ypsilon will be available with petrol engines! Most likely scenario now is that Lancia comes into Rally2 and if FIA carries on with their ideas to slow down Rally1, this would lead to a Rally2+

@@Minoiaofficial I hope so too! It seems the current manufacturers are against slowing down Rally1. But I honestly do not see Lancia or any other manufacturer come with a Rally1. Being able to compete at the top with a Rally2+ I think is essential for a Lancia comeback.

Yep, Lancia just announced their return to the world of rallying with Lancia Ypsilon Rally 4 HF ;)

that new ypsilon looks really trash
in 30 years they couldn't make a car that people liked
and they are still determined chasing design trends nobody asked for
like the beaver grille they refused to drop despite being universally disliked for more than 20 years
That'd be cool but impossible, well if they did, what platform are they gonna use anyway??? They'll end up "just okay" in the nowadays WRC sadly. Really hating on the fact but i think that's the sad truth.. 😢
Lancia was disappointing in group B
the 037 was a bad bet and only won in 83' because of wacky tactics and Audi's lack of reliability, don't forget the champion of that season came from Audi
In 84' Audi swept back and then Lancia made the Delta S4 which is thought to be the ultimate rally machine aaannd it wasn't enough lol
compared to the stratos and delta hf years, Lancia was almost mediocre during group B
Peugeot dominated group B .
