People have been asking for livestreams on these for over a year now. Just a continues livestream of an interceptor would be great, also add the option for people to donate over super chat.
I feel like they can't do that. In order to stream, they would need a constant strong internet connection, which a lot of these countries don't have available
@@JAce94007 A lot of these locations are in Capital cities. Even developing countries have decent internet connection in urban areas. And they only need 1 live stream. Not every single one
Totally agree. It's great to see new videos, but honestly, 71 seconds of "razzle dazzle" is not really worth it. Please, LIVE STREAM all the Interceptors.
Its really satisfying to watch how much of trash that is collected well before reaching that into ocean. I really wish we get such systems all over the world for our river streams. Our paradise would be such a clean place again.
It's certainly a good thing. Though we need to also be doing work upstream to put systems in place that allow the locals or where ever the trash is coming from to dispose of it correctly.
You turn it into art! You're amazing. I'm so grateful. You are my source of hope. And of course, my hero. And I've purchased my last plastic bottle of laundry soap! Tru earth laundry strips come in the mail once every 3 months!
Our videos of river trash Kabooms are long enough to maybe bore you. We show from construction to install to extraction of plastics and trash then to where it all ends up. I think everyone wants to see The Ocean Cleanup videos to be longer....me too, I am their biggest fan.
I didn’t realise that this was here in Malaysia! I used to walk beside this river frequently and it’s always so disappointing to see how dirty it is. Hope this makes a difference
@@twotone3070 Many have stopped that here on Camiguin Island Philippines. Our river trash Kabooms have brought awareness, plus building and installing single stream recycling cage gives residents another option. Two trained cage attendants hand out flyers and help educate residents as to proper segregation. Took a few months but starting to pay off, am seeing less big sacks of trash in our Kaboomed canals.
Those containers are going to get very full very quickly. Let´s just hope the guys who are collecting it all are efficient and incorruptible. There´s a huge danger that they will just be chucking it all over a hedge.
Go to Indonesia and you got a lot of garbage in the Ocean. And I feel that enough to make a lot of sunglasses. Thanks to clean up the Ocean. God bless u all.
The Philippines does, on Camiguin Island. We can't afford an interceptor, but are still stopping thousands of kilos of plastics and trash with our nearly free to make river trash Kabooms. I love the Philippines, retired here in 2006 and am doing all I can to keep it clean.
We need a live feed on one of the interceptors please, it can not be that hard to set up ? it would pull even more people into the movement and grow your youtube channel more.
I both love it and hate it! Love what you are doing but just a short teaser drives me crazy. I think I can speak for the majority here,,,we are begging to see more. Keep up the great work and get those barriers installed in as many rivers as possible...fast, we are losing this battle.
Great job! Thank you for your work, I want to see a live stream of political leaders watching this video while discussing solutions to not produce this trash in the first place. I do thank you for the work during the transition:).
Well said. This will be, although vital, an endless task if someone doesn't stop this at source. This is buying them time to get their own act together, that's all.
Even with additional interceptors, we cannot control the plastic pollution in Malaysia because the attitude of the majority Malaysians citizen is sick and uncivilized. The government have to implement strict rules and regulations to curb this attitude problem.
Excellent work. I hope all the waste is going straight to the nearest WASTE-TO-ENERGY plant to generate electricity for the nearest ELECTRICITY-GRID - for now anyway. Picking stuff out of the waste stream for recycling can wait for later.
Yeah, except that would make no sense. They need to be installed in the rivers that are the actual sources of ocean plastic. That is why these guys are doing so well, they are taking the scientific approach, not the politically correct approach
While the waste handling is the responsibility of the operators, anything deemed necessary for the health of the river ecosystem is returned to the river.
Do you mean something like a sea bin? It’s not a chemical tester I don’t think, but they do remove oils, detergents, and micro plastics up to a certain size off the water. They’re not very big tho and from my understanding they’re commonly used at docks.
@@averyjohnson8605 no I was thinking something the detects it and can record the data and since chemicals are different for different things. They can find out if its factory or farm or plastic going bye.
No, it's not useless. The plastic has been stopped from entering the ocean, and at the same time the source has been internationally exposed. People will start asking questions, and real change will follow
