As someone that grew up in the DR, thank you for this. Thank you for making a change. This is awesome. This has always been an issue there. I’m glad more people care. Thank you thank you.
It makes me so incredibly happy that youtubers, people who impact people to such a huge degree, do these things!
Government: Doesn't care
UA-camrs: Fine we'll do it ourselves
Makes me happy they called him Gringo
@@einmalig7770 It’s so funny they were calling him “white boy”

SO TRUE
Thank you Mark for using your intelligence and efforts on improving lives and the environment
This is so incredible. It baffles me how unbelievably unaware our governments are. Well done everyone who donates, volunteers, and interacts with the videos. Amazing stuff.
They're aware, there is just a lack of financial incentive and unfortunately that's typically the only thing that drives governments to do anything.
@@TheKOzality Even if aware and have incentive, it's still a massive logistical issue. You saw in the video how local leaders are working with the UN to find long term solutions. They all want to do something but it's not easy nor quick. What makes it harder is when governments keep changing officials every election cycle meaning they now have to deal with new leaders, informing them, building relations, funding constraints, governmental power struggles etc.
yeah
What gives you that idea that the governments are unaware?? How could they even be it, they know veeeryyy well.
They definitely aware of the issues
You know if Mark is behind something then it’s a truly legitimate cause and will get the goal done.

Based on Apple’s earning reports, they make 41 million dollars an hour. I think it’s time we call on the corporations and companies who “care so much about the environment” to lose an hour of revenue and help us reach our goal!

Don’t get me wrong, seeing Mr Beast and his crew doing this is absolutely incredible, but the rivers and sources of these problems often get overshadowed even though they’re just as important. It means a lot to see you doing this, Mark!
It reminds me of the tree planting thing. In an odd way, donating $1 to plant a tree makes people too satisfied in feeling like they made a big difference. (Not hating on tree planting or beach cleanup volunteers, they’re super awesome). But these problems run much deeper.
Yeah, I am glad that they help spreading the message of the plastic pollution. Having seen the cleanup robot a while ago was inspiring, but now more people actually see them at work.
Yeah, I do appreciate that they went to investigate the root causes and how that can be addressed rather than just focusing on the cleanup itself
