- So I tried surfing... In Shenzhen... and I learned 2 things: 1) Shenzhen beaches are really quite beautiful 2) it is hard to surf when the waves don't reach your ankles

It's so great to watch your videos and see you having so many adventures and enjoying your China experience so much. I went to China at age 62, and lived there for 6 years until last year. Had an amazing time, but I wished so much I were younger and could do so many of the kinds of things like you have been doing. But when I was your age, China was still going through the Cultural Revolution and was definitely not a place to go to as a foreigner! So I have really enjoyed watching your videos and through them living vicariously the kind of life I wished I could have had in China.

One of my clients invited me to join his Kong Fu class around the corner, when I realized the class was being taught by a white Aussie guy who learnt Kong Fu in China for several years, it’s kind of funny a Chinese dude traveled 1000s of miles to learn Kong Fu from an Australian who learnt Kong Fu in China.

Hi guys. I actually do know how to surf. Rule of thumb is you need an ocean for waves otherwise you will be disappointed 364 days of the year. So the south Chinese sea ain’t gonna cut it. Well as long as you had fun! Take care

Amy, Amy, Amy - release a 4 second "surfboard dancing" clip, longer if you have more footage - it will surely go viral. You should also release another one, about a minute long, of your best Shenzhen 'Gidget' surfer girl moments starting with the surfboard dance - sure to go viral too.

@@BlondieinChina But you did dance on the board during your land lesson - surely one of the funniest moments in surf history and worthy of its own 4 second video. Dance moves are obviously highly compatible with 'air' and 360 turns in the surf. You have some way to go before joining the pro circuit, but you are a quick learner and that should be the focus of a short Gidget on the surfboard in China video - which should open with that short surfboard dance on land.
it seems that wind was not strong enough. So you didn't have enough wave speed to control surf board. I guess you will do better with stronger wind.
