    The biggest difference psychologically between Michael Jordan and these latter day athlete's like Kobe Bryant and LeBron James is he knew exactly who he was even before coming into the NBA. They had to develop and figure themselves out. I think that Kobe has finally established his own identity after all of these years and LeBron is just now getting the feel of who he is. MJ was so far ahead of his time in every aspect of the game including his mental status. That's why he was so hard to beat and why many consider him as being the GOAT.

      +Poopyhead LeBron well said brother...well said

    • @lizi9019
      @lizi9019 8 років тому

      +Poopyhei ad LeBron no, MJ didn't know to lead a team to success and champions, he would need to lead by involving other teammates, role players. He wasn't necessarily better in high school than kobe being of roughly the same age in respect of mentality. He went to uni for two years, Kobe didn't. Knowing who he is, takes a man a life time to figure that out. It never stops. There is no need to make MJ bigger than he was. He was already big.

      Poopy: That's really well put bro!! He knew who he was & ive learned the hard way that that really is a BIG part of the battle!! He developed as a player & as a team leader through the years but you can not grow the way one needs to without that sense of self! Really great comment bro!

    They criticized him on the Last Dance, but this is who he has always been. I hope they will watch this vid and see that he was always about the team, his family and worked on being a great basketball player. He earned it through hard work. These young players could learn from that.

    • @thetruth72667

      People in general should listen to him!!! He said I may sound like a dick but that’s because you never won anything. You do what you have to do to be the best. He was fine if people didn’t feel that way & all they had to do was GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! He asked a lot from teammates but also asked the same from himself if not more.
      Let someone call you the best ever @anything & then see how much scrutiny & judgment that brings to you. He had no choice but to be the best every second on the court & if others don’t understand that its their problem! Finally seeing someone talking with some sense so I’m glad I came across this comment.

    When you hear Michael Jordan, express himself inside or outside the court, is as though he is perfect (inside the court aggressive and impulsive, outside intelligent and humble).
    He is the example of a great iconic figure.
    You cannot tell if he is white, black, brown, yellow etc... Jordan is just Jordan

    He makes his teammates better
    That’s what separates him from others
    He’s in the same company of a Magic Johnson & a Larry Bird

      It happened.

    • @baldwinbaseball156
      @baldwinbaseball156 8 років тому +6

      +Sylwester Grega he wasn't cut he didn't make his varsity team and played JV

    • @dkmdkm1300
      @dkmdkm1300 8 років тому +1

      the story is that he was going for varsity but was cut and he was put in JV so he worked hard to show them wrong
      people mistake what he says and think he was completely cut

    • @Thraxxx03
      @Thraxxx03 6 років тому +2

      project10bball it’s true. He was considered “too small” so he trained his ass off and averaged 40 points a game playing JV. The following year varsity picked him up.

    • @kweli05
      @kweli05 3 роки тому

      He didn't make the varsity team at the time he should have been playing JV, so he played JV instead. The story sounds better that he was cut though. Just like it sounds better that Steve Jobs was fired from Apple, even though when he wasn't

    Trying out for a basketball team in high school is a bunch of bs.50 kids tried out for mine..... coach never saw me play once, just chose all the tall black kids. I was kind of pissed. Oh and their record that year was 2-13. I one v one some of the kids on the team and beat them too.
