Looks fantastic ... but... I'd find a way to mod in that cylinder you made. The cut up look like the actual game gun is one of my favorite characteristics of the gun.

Thanks! 😁 It would be fun due to its functionality, but we found the hammer shot is too large and complicated for a proper barrel to fit. Also a bit too large for a scale prop. The Doublestrike was the closest. Maybe Nerf will come out with a new one to try though!😃

@@Thatmaskguy666 Some have made it with the Nerf Hammershot, but it doesn't look as close to the replica and it's too big! We are converting a Nerf Doublestrike into one like we did with the Thorn! I know it’s such a small detail to notice, given everything you’re teaching in this vid. But the ‘swoosh’ noise you edit in with every new scene/cut is just….chefs kiss!

Nice man as Thorn is meta right now (when is it not? Lol) i love to see it made as a diy.
One tip for painting is to coat the whole piece in a dull metallic silver and let it dry, then coat it in black. That way when you sand the black of it'll show the silver, portraying that weathered look w/out you having to meticulously apply it.
Thanks! Yeah this was just a fast one for the paint. We often paint in metallic then use toothpaste for chipped areas paint black then just wipe off toothpaste! Here’s a great example: ua-cam.com/video/oPLGaWKI_q8/v-deo.html We also started printing the barrel in translucent green, then tooth pasting the green lights painting black then rubbing off.😃

But all you’ve really done is stuck a 3D print onto the end of the barrel and gave it a paint job
Thanks! Yeah that’s pretty much it although there is a bit of modification that needs to be done to the blaster itself, watch the video. Yes the intention was to make a barrel extension kit for purchase and moderately easy to install. I put quite a bit of work into personally modeling the barrel and pommel in the kit. Not an easy task!
