Hi there, I've been maintaining my own vehicles for over 30 yrs. I have experienced a few rounded off bolts/nuts, in hard-to-reach places. The set in this video, is not a true bolt extractor. The difference is a true bolt extractor, have spiral Reverse flutes on the inside. These Reverse spiral flutes get narrow as they travel to the bottom of the socket. This helps the bolt extractor to bit into the metal, as torque is applied to it. Sometimes, you have to tap the bolt extractor onto the bolt/nut, so it can bite into the metal to be removed.
The tool in this video has vertical flutes only, which means they will not bite into the metal as torque is applied. This tool will not work on high torqued or rusted automotive bolts/nuts.

I wouldn’t use them for anything else you need these to be sharp inside to grapill be getting a set soon just finished removing one striped out seat bolt the old fashioned way drilling the center out and tapping in the extraction pins got lucky 1 1/2 hr later it came out

Bought the first 8 piece set by mistake from Acme in July & decided to keep & try them. To my amazement, they work well, & glad for my happy accident purchase. Picked up another 8 piece set from Acme for $42.49 for my brothers-in-law (he just got his first impact 6 days ago💪🏼, he’s a DeWalt fan; but hey...we all can’t be perfect now can we😉🤣🤣).
I call them “Back Biter” instead of Bolt Biter for some weird reason 🤪; & now I’ve got the whole family calling them Back Biter sockets 🤣.
Great Video, see ya on the next one👊🏼

I am going to have to get those. I've been looking at them. I am an Apex/gear wrench fan. They really think their products through. I just didn't think they would work. This is mind blowing. Looking at the design it's more obvious now how it works with the leverage of anything at all left on the bolt head. Such a simple, yet effective design.
