Everything you said in this video is completely wrong. A 2 stroke engine needs back pressure thats why the hole in the tip is always smaller than the port. Having a free flowing exhaust like that on a 2 stroke is killing your top end. This would however work on a 4 stroke.

ive try the CDH banana pipe with this exhaust just by stickin it at the end of the banana pipe and The engine was rolling smoother and gotta higher RPM
Actually if u remove the cap it won't necessarily make the bike faster it will make it more powerful and if the barrel with all the guts falls off it won't let fuel flow through the engine unburnt the carburetor will give the engine fuel whenever the piston goes down creates a vacuum and pulls air through the intake
2 strokes like some back pressure...you might gain some low down power doing this but not at WOT. If you want performance gains by messing with the exhaust, you need to buy one with an expansion chamber.
basically he’s making an “expansion” chamber of sorts. definitely not a very efficient chamber, the sudden increase in diameter of what should be the diffuser cone and belly, the sonic waves will be loosing kinetic energy. so less efficient
haha was riding a new build when that very tip fell off without me noticing. all i noticed is the engine ran way better and had more power all of a sudden. the fella is correct. maybe drill a hole or two in the end cap and plug holes with screws if it doesnt help any but it should.
Something I did with my exhaust was take it apart, cut the stem that goes into the baffle guts to about 2", bent the lips of the cap that went inside the muffler tube inward, put a spring around the muffler cap bolt, and put it back on. That way I could keep the cap making it more quiet than just taking it off completely, and I'd be able to adjust the sound/power by undoing or tightening the bolt under the cap. Then my baffle cap fell off riding down the road 😂. I've redone it by drilling like 6 holes around the cap and just bolting it back on like it was when it was stock, it keeps back pressure, gives a crisp POP sound to the bike and it doesn't sound like it has the 'tism. 10/10, a mod I'd reccomend 😂
The studs on my exhaust keep coming loose, I tighten them and a min into the ride they already half way undone and exhaust will be dangling. Any suggestions and tips? You seem to know a hell lot more bout this than I do
I removed my cap and it was way too loud! I noticed a huge increase of acceleration and power, but I don't believe my bike rode faster. It sounded like crap at WOT, I'm pretty sure the the exhaust port was sucking in cooler air which is really bad. After my experiment I have decided to go with an aftermarket high performance exhaust. I really wasn't expecting an increase on the lower end! Wow!
I'm in the same boat. I took my exhaust completely off, and tried it for a short distance and went 35mph. My top with the exhaust was like 15-20mph. I'm currently looking at high performance pipes.
Sorry, but an expansion chamber would be better. A better speed gain would be to use a smaller sprocket on the rear wheel. These are smarter and proven to actually work.
i done this and my bike spits sputters and limiters put it back on and it was fine i run 20:1 gas it’s a skyhawk motor anyone know how i can ride with baffle out and have it not limiter
right and wrong, this mod wont improve your top speed but will increase acceleration and power. but a 2 stroke needs blowback pressure. i recommend drilling a few holes in your exhaust to increase acceleration and power slightly, without compromising the health of your engine.
Dude, with that you basicly remove your expansion chamber, making it impossible 4 your exhaust to create backpressure to keep the fuel mix in. If this goes to a 4 stroke, whan its absoloutly fine but like that... naaah

That’s how the og exhaust are today and it’s the best way to do it on a 2 strome

I use 50:1 opti 2 oil mixed with the gas....I’ve drilled holes in the cap and it should give you more power
I run 40:1 and I have the cap off and it runs perfect
I welded it onto the end of a fat belly expansion pipe as a silencer but now I need to modify it into a silencer but not sure how

Hey if you want the best exhaust just cut a half inch off the top of the pipe inside and drill holes in it
