If the ground is flat you could use an robotic lawn mower. It can be programmed to cut the grass in a specific area every single day. When getting older its good to have a helper.

The rain comes then the sun the grass and weeds will grow. Ryobi has a nice 40V heavy duty trimmer that can make easy work of them weeds . use same battery as your mower. todays solar panels work so much better then 20 year old ones. almost lost a panel to the weeds.

You can still use the controller without wifi but may need to buy the screen to do setups and make changes.
