Nice recovery, I did that after I woke up! Yes I fell asleep on my bike going through Oklahoma at midnight. You shouldn't put your bag on the tank and lean over on it. I got too comfy. Fell asleep, when I woke up ,I was on the center line. I tensed up and bike started shaking. I sold it.

@@BRUDDERWOLD I fell asleep driving a car and I had 3 passengers. Luckily, I woke right up when it started going out of the road on a long straight away and didn't hit anything or wreck. I swore to NEVER drive anything when there is a chance I could fall asleep like driving late at night.
@@keithstone6411 not on hi ways, I raced snowmobiles, dropped 100 ft cliffs, but counting on other drivers not to mess up around me was what made me sell. It was a blast ,not quite as fun as my kx 250
Almost all cases of accidents here are the result of fast driving, no experience and prediction of a situation. In many, not all, situations bikers are not enough visible to car drivers, so, predict the situation, no "pedal to the metal".
Ive seen a whole bunch of really nice, new motorcycles crashed on these channels. An some classics to. It breaks the heart....

Gotta admit riding with sandals is one of the most stupid of behaviors illustrated here. There are many.
Two rules I've developed during my 40+ years and 300K+ miles on motorcycles: 1) They never see you; 2) If they see you, they aim for you.
Yeah, when no gear can't get any more stupid, the next level is barefoot and a pair of light shorts...

Where I used to live the summer sport bike attire was shorts and a t shirt, with low sneakers and sometimes sandals.

A lot of these were unavoidable but there's always room for learning. As always, slow down and keep your distance from traffic as much as possible. Speed and not being seen are a common issue I'm seeing. I personally prefer minimizing my time around traffic. That usually involves letting cars pass or minimizing my time in their blind spot after a cautious approach. Assume that someone could have a medical issue or vehicle malfunction at any moment. I prefer riding in open air.
Ride the Bean, Glad he cared more about his passenger than the bike, or being pissed at the driver of the car. 1st time I seen someone like that on your channel.

Truck driver guilty of felony stupidity at a bare minimum. That and feeling his manhood has somehow been diminished by all those motorcycles passing by while he's stuck in his dinosaur-mobile.
If the biker had been obeying the traffic laws, exactly nothing would have happened because he would not have been there. There's a good chance his insurance (which he likely doesn't HAVE) will be responsible for repairs.

The driver in the "middle lane" did not make the mistake. The rider looks like he was riding illegally in the bus and taxi lane. Look at the road markings. Also there is a wide yellow line to the left of the bike which indicates to me that he should be to the left of that yellow line.
It's legal for a motorcycle to drive in the bus lane in some countries. It's legal in my country at least. The rider in the video is from the same country as me so I can understand why he's in the bus lane. Don't know if it's legal in Italy though which is where this accident took place.
@Johnyboyrofl Legal and a wise thing to do especially with a rider are two different things. I could spend an hour listing the things I'm allowed to do on a motorcycle that I just don't do for safety sake

1:23 : "The driver made a huge mistake by turning right from the middle lane." actually he/she does have the right. The line the biker was in is reserved for taxis and buses. The biker had absolutely no rights to drive in that lane. The driver made a mistake for not checking the mirrors in case a taxi or a bus was about to pass from her right. The biker made a huge mistake for not taking into consideration that any vehicles can turn right from the middle lane. His bike is not allowed to drive on the right lane, UNLESS, the biker want to turn right. But otherwise the biker had to stay on the left lane. This is how it works in most of Europe roads.

i dunno bout that title, on the way to work this morning, taxi just handbrakes in front of me, I was about 10m behind but sadly my brakes locked, and boom went down in the middle of 5 lanes of traffic, the taxi drove of and i had to just get up and carry on to work 🤣 my first fall off a motorbike, not as bad as i thought, but i was going slow way below the limit so being safe saved me really

The only mistake the car did was not check mirrors before turning. He had to turn from the left lane cause the right lane is taxi/bus, the biker shouldn't even had to be there.
It doesn't matter how wrong a car driver might be, you are still proportionately in the wrong for putting yourself in that situation.

Some of these riders have ridiculously slow reaction times. It's as if when something unexpected happens in front of them, they don't know how to process it and just continue on to impact. I guess they feel they have the right away, then they feel the asphalt.:) You cannot ever change how people drive. What you can do it model in your head how people drive and ride accordingly. You should not be surprised that sometimes people will pull out or change lanes in front of you. You should expect it and be prepared.
after 40 plus years of riding. yes I lane split when I need to. But I always felt like there is a differance between lane filtering ,,as oppose to going between cars just to get to the front of the line at a stoplight. ( Lane cutting). Call me wrong,, but lane filtering laws were NOT meant For lane cutting.
In Navid Poran's case it kinda looks like the truck purposely hit him.... That truck had nowhere else to go and the only reason for that move imo is to take out the biker probably cuz the truck driver doesn't think lane filtering is legal!!

Some of these bikers had rather bad cornering lines or go at faster speeds than they should. People should probably take it easy before going at speeds that they cant handle.
Especially true for riders that are unsure about if they can go deeper into the corner or not. Hesitating in corners is the one thing that gets any biker into dangerous situations, so go at a comfortable speed and get to know your bike and the road youre on before you're going fast.
I have a question about the RIDE THE BEAN clip the lane markings say bus taxi are motorcycle's allowed in the lane also ?
I made a comment about that on another video. In some European countries it allowed.

My Brother rode motorcycles for decades, until health reasons forced him to stop. I have younger relatives that ride motorcycles, I have friends and co-workers that ride motorcycles. I do not have any hate for any of them, nor for any responsible rider. None the less, I do enjoy seeing an imbecile that is not bothering to ride safe destroy his motorcycle.

Perhaps, but is being stupid a crime? I see drivers make this move once or twice a week. They get stupid about where they are and suddenly their life depends on them being in another lane. They drive into the car beside them expecting the car, or the car behind the car next to them, to yield to their specialness. Judging from their driving just before the move, it looks like they are looking ahead, foolishly decided to make a lane change and had no clue the motorcycle was there.
Would have to prove the truck did it intentionally and wasn't just making a bad turn.
