I've seen the arm of a guy who went for a long slide in full leathers, I nearly puked, the cops thought he might not make it. When I saw him it was a long time after the crash and he still 'leaked' occasionally. Seeing semi naked girls riding a bike gives me a sick feeling, they could lose so much skin. I dont care how good a rider they are it just takes one d...head and they are going to be looking at a world of hurt.

I've spoken to the creator of the that video (Djim R1) as we shared a pitbox at a Nürburgring trackday a week ago, and that dude is in fact not okay at all. Still in the hospital 1 year after the crash, and will never walk again.
I felt for the guy in the last clip. He sounded so disappointed in himself. We've all been there. Hope he doesn't get discouraged and keeps at it, because the fact he was practicing at all rather than just jumping on a busy road shows he's got the right mindset to be a good rider
Totally agree... I dropped my R3 on a practice U turn and too much front and down she went. I tried to stop it, but it was like the worlds slowest drop from a stop.. lol We live and learn.
Did that my first day practicing uturns on my street, hit my curb.
But seeing him practising on a road rather than in an empty lot was surprising. It looked like an area where people would be driving recklessly as they don't anticipate to meet someone going slow.
Just wondering: are people in other countries not taking riding lessons before being allowed to go on the streets? I wouldnt have gotten my license without being able to control a bike safely.
I really love riders like those. They are prospective and are a great example to the riding community
Biker for 40 years here, makes me really sad, apart from the minority of others at fault, most of these on here are all totally self inflicted, ignorance/arrogance with no idea of road craft or self preservation. Just hope they live long enough to learn or give up

That's why I said "for awhile". Some "awhiles" are much shorter than others.
We've all seen the videos of someone getting on a bike for the first time and going whiskey throttle thru the hedge. But to win their Darwin award, most have to get good enough to make it to a hiway, or at least somewhere they can get up to hiway speeds.
Some guys will ride at over 100mph on the freeway, treating cars as stationary pylons, but can't turn their bike around in less than 25ft without making a 3 point turn. And if they don't have that skill, what are the chances they've ever practiced emergency braking or swerving?
Squids to be sure.
On the road you just have to leave a healthy margin for safety for the person who doesn’t see you, or the patch of gravel, or other obstacle. On the track you can take more for granted but even then oil spills are a worry. No imagination or the belief that they are immortal. 😢
That's the purpose of these videos. People (myself included of course) wouldn't watch these if they were about responsible riders. That would be too boring.

@@VroomNDoom2602 honda has new thing called e-clutch, it allows to shift without clutch and even get into 1st and move without it. So it might be smth similar

The guy doing a front-flip with the Yamaha is one of the fears I got when I buy a newer bike. Honda has a similar system called "E clutch" it basically pulls the clutch for you and you can stay in first gear without doing anything when stopping. It also basically lets ride ride again after stopping without pulling in the clutch, it's pretty much a semi automatic.
that sounds awful. one of the best parts of biking is shifting.
@@JohnSmith-fo5cx You still shift. It is just an automatic clutch. As every reasonable newer bike has a quickshifter/blipper anyway, you only use the clutch for getting rolling, which really isn't that much of a sensation in daily start/stop traffic for example. Also you can seamlessly at any time just use the normal clutch lever. It's absolutely awesome.
Anyway that wasn't the problem here. Yamaha doesn't have an E-Clutch.

His r7 doesn’t have one it’s Completely stock Ik him personally

In some states, like Virginia, motorcyclists can legally "run" a red light if it is not changing for the rider. But even so, that intersection looked very busy to try that. Good on the cop for once.

I'm pretty sure the first guy can sue the council and get a compensation. In UK if your car/motorcycle gets damaged by a pothole the council has to pay because it's their duty to keep the roads maintained/safe.
He can sue, but that's by no means a guarantee he'll get compensation. If the pothole hasn't been reported before (that's why you should always report potholes) and the council can somehow show they take reasonable steps to keep the roads safe there's a good chance you get nothing
He was pretty close to offroading.
You've got to be able to prove it though and they won't accept any proof despite the majority of roads covered in bumps and holes.

01:09 How did the bike flip? I own a R1 and if in gear the clutch needs to be pulled, and the guy isnt holding the clutch, therefor it should not be running.

One way to make traffic light sensors detect you is to put strong magnets on the bottom of your bike. I like to use the magnets out of old computer hard drives.

Most states have a law on the books that say motorcycles can treat a red light as a stop sign when certain conditions are met. Length of time at the light or a specified amount of rotations. IE in arkansas and a few other states you can treat a stop light as a stop sign if it has been 2 minutes or gone through 2 rotations.

6:37 Emk breaking most of the rules. Overtaking on a crossing. Proceeds through an amber flashing when there are pedestrians crossing. Does not give way to pedestrians already established in the road. Has the audacity to tell pedestrians to get out of the road while he is driving on the wrong side of the road.
You can legally run a red light if it is "malfunctioning" which happens alot with bikes. But double check your state code for the specific statue in case you get a dumbass cop who doesnt know.
I have a question, when a motorcyclist is lane splitting legally (California and one other state) and a car changes lanes who's fault is it if there is a collision?

I dont understand how 1:14 happened? the guy turned the bike on but no ones hand was on the clutch therefore it had to be in neutral yet the throttle made it flip? can someone explain?
My guess 5:18 was because of entering too fast and probably tapping the front brake to scrub speed. Would love to see another angle. They always blame oil.

The first speed wobble appears to have happened because the guy only had ONE HAND on the bars at the moment he hit the bumps. As soon as the wobble starts, it is almost impossible to catch the bar with that free hand. Believe me .. Been there, Done that !
The problem with MOST bike riders is that few of them have any real training and once given a bike, they think they are Cafe Racers. SPEED KILLS.
Unfortunately, it's the few that cause so many accidents and incidents that bike insurance is so high.

Been riding since the '60s. Even if you are skilled and careful, odds are you will eventually be hurt but someone else's actions on the road so don't lower your odds by driving like an idiot. Also, it is not your duty to educate the entire population on how to drive and it is not helpful to retaliate for perceived errors. Just worry about yourself, stay away from trouble and ride on.

Why do people ride bikes and not wear any sort of protection? I mean even just some gloves. I've seen many a time were looking cool was their biggest mistake. Age old saying " dress for the slide, not the ride " Skin disappears instantly when thrust against the road. Be safe out there...

If you hit the tram rails, it could very easily end up in very bad crash, and you could be professional driver or amateur, rails are just the most scary obstacles on a road. You can imagine it as driving on icy ground and suddenly hitting 2-3 inches deep (5-7 cm) hole in it, does mostly the same thing with controls of a bike.
Unfortunately, the shown city, Brno (located in Czech republic) has a LOT of these, cus infrastructure of the city is, let's say it, truly bad.
