Dave knows how motherfucking good his life is, and enjoys every minute.
Hugh Rogers that’s what I always thought!! He is a very lucky human being!
^above yes..plus much much more #genius
But he watched Kurt shove a needle in his arm till it killed him.
Not laying blame, just wish we had 25 years of Nirvana.
@@scout805 🤔🤷♂️🤦♀️
@@scout805 Have you read Grohl's book? Cobain would have died one way or another and no one in the world could have stopped him. It's not like his friends did nothing.
Dave isnt playing for himself, hes playing for every kid that grew up listening to Zeppelin wishing they could get to do what he got to do.
Poor Taylor... his drum kit just had a big orgasm as Dave played on it... Taylor goes back to his kit and the Snare is having a smoke all glassy eyed...
Bless him
YESSSS 🙌🏽
You’re right!!
IT CANNOT BE CLEARER.
DAVE DOESN'T PLAY FOR HIM, DAVE PLAY FOR OTHERS. EASY AND SIMPLE.
I’m a casual FF fan, and a huge LZ fan; I had no idea that Dave and Taylor had done a couple songs live with JP and JPJ.
TAYLOR FUCKING KILLED IT!!
This is definitely one of the best LZ covers I’ve ever heard.
Rest In Peace, Taylor.
They all did...
I'm just now leaning this myself. fuckin crazy
The smile on Dave's face at the start of the song shows how he fully appreciates the moment he was in. Growing up listening to Zep and being influenced by John Bonham to be on stage 30 years later playing Rock-n-Roll with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones at Wembley Stadium did not go unappreciated.
Man!! You could just feel Dave's happiness!! Gave me goosebumps!
So bittersweet now...RIP Taylor
With his best friend singing
Yes its true 💪🤘🔥
This is really amazing !! I love it, we can really feel how this moment is special ! Thank you all si much !!
Dave looks like a kid at the candy store during his drum intro. What an epic performance!
You can tell it's fulfilling a dream right there
Thought the same thing Carlo, the look on his faced is priceless!
I was gona say the Exact Same Thing. He Does look like a kid in a candy store. With Great Reason!
So cool. Dave has played in two incredible bands and has played in front of millions, but he knows he's performing with rock royalty. Rock and Roll respect. Unlike some rappers who think they are the next Beatles, Hendrix, or James Brown.
Dave is "always" a kid in a candystore :) He has such a great warm and energetic personality. One of those you allways want around.
This is how I would want to remember Mr Hawkins - constantly looking over his own shoulder at one of the greatest lead guitar players of all time, at one of the greatest bass players of all time, and at his own band mate, one of the greatest drummers of all time, then facing the audience and perhaps not realizing his own greatness. RIP Mr Hawkins.
Well put, love it
Exactly…..👍🫶 perfectly said. ❤️
Well said. RIP Taylor.
Beautifully worded. And forever gutted. I can't imagine what it feels like to have been close to him. Because I'm just a fan and feel like a lost

John Paul Jones. Folks. One of, if not, the best bassist ever. So talented in so many ways.
That honour belongs to John Entwistle

Four legends casually sharing the stage at the most famous venue in Great Britain. I would always watch this show when it aired on TV. Never gets old RIP Taylor
Page can dress as he wants...his hair can turn white...he can age somewhat gracefully. But as soon as his Gibson Les Paul comes to life you immediately know who's playing it. And it's been this way for 53 years now. Stunning.

Jimmy Page hasn't lost a step. Same body movement and facial expressions since the 60's. Amazing!
Idk during the solo he got a little red in the face he was ripping but he just wasn't finishing the notes how he wanted maybe a gear setup thing .. he ended up destroying expectations after celebration day showed he lost nothing

The beginning drum fill....David Grohl sitting in for John Bonham. Staring into the eyes of Jimmy Page. It's pure bliss. It's everything!
Jimmy Page’s smile during Dave’s last drum fill is contagious. True spontaneous sincere joy.

Man, that bass...John Paul Jones is just locked in with Dave as if they've been playing together for years.
Not sure how tongue and cheek that comment is.. but they did play together for a bit in Them Crooked Vultures.
I really do hope this is a sarcastic bit. LOL
Jpj's bass is absolutely insane. Best bass performance I've ever heard for this song
Taylor killed vocals and Dave killed drums. The Zep boys look like they were having fun. That’s what music is all about. It doesn’t have to be perfect, we’re not robots, and music has been processed so much in this day and age to take the human life, emotion, and rawness out of it. This performance was awesome 👏 🤘
I just watch this video becouse two of the best were having fun they knew how to do it and they are the best ever.
You are so right .
The drumming totally lacks all of Bonhams subtlety. Dave is a basher, a great basher but a basher none the less.

My sincerest condolences to Taylor's family, friends and bandmates. I really appreciated this performance. Taylor did an outstanding job on the vocals, in my opinion. Led Zeppelin was one of my top favorite bands and this collaboration was awesome.
That's why I love Rock !!! Our generation was very lucky to grow up listening to this music.
Jimmy Page casually showing off why he's considered one of the best guitarists to ever exist. I don't even know how he's making these sounds on his guitar. surreal.
Imagine going to a FF concert and suddenly there is 50% of the greatest band ever on stage...!!
The other half is Led Zeppelin, I guess 😂
I’d have a stroke
Imagine going that 50% of the greatest band ever concert and then seeing them playing with drummer from one of 90's greatest band.
Imagine if Page & JPJ grabbed Sammy Hagar & Jason Bonham and toured 50 dates one last time & told Rober Plant to fuck off.
This happened to me!!! I was a 13 year old kid who was obsessed with classic rock & guitar, one of the most surreal moments of all time
It must have been a thrill for Dave to play drums in Bonhams’s shoes infront of Page and John
I personally think Dave Grohl can fit in Led Zep.

The amount of badassery on that stage is impossible to calculate. You've got one of the greatest guitar players of all time, one of the greatest bass players of all time, and TWO of the greatest drummers of all time. Three of the four are top-10 at their craft and Hawkins will be way up there by the time his catalog of work is complete.
Yep
Dave isn't a top 10 drummer of all time.. he flat out couldn't play this song properly and had to simplify it just to get through it.
@@SirMan48 - I've played drums for almost 40 years. Your argument is with history and with the general consensus. I'm sure you have your own opinions. I love Bonzo, too, but I don't let it cloud my judgement.
I don't think either of them could be called 'one of the greatest drummers of all time'. Although Led Zeppelin had easily one of the best guitarists of all time, easily one of the best vocalists of all time, easily one of the best drummers of all time, and easily one of the best rock musicians in general (as well as bassists) of all time.
@@danielstephens7416 - My comment was "top-10 at their craft". Please list 10 drummers with a better catalog of work than Grohl. "Best" is always going to be highly subjective. One could easily make the case that not one rock drummer is top-10, including Bonham, if you hold jazz drummers in high esteem. My comments were really about rock and roll artists, which I thought was implied.
